It is scary how wrong people can be.

http://www.reuters.com/ar...

I am a big believer in totalitarianism, so I think we should follow the model of the rest of the totalitarian world and give free access to the internet to all its citizens. LOL.

Anybody have any other ideas on how to promote totalitarianism?

Internet...

Internet good - Many of us wouldn't have found out about Dr. Paul and his message without the internet. It is truly "free" press. Not distorted and manipulative. That's why Dr. Paul had a huge internet following. We're not all a bunch of main stream media babies.

Internet bad - You can see or read about anything, and anything you post can be seen or read by anyone. Again, it is truly "free" press.

Dr. Paul has it right. What it boils down to is this...

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY.

If you don't want to see porn... don't look at it. If you don't want your child to see porn, supervise them while they are on the internet.

If they decide to restrict access to the internet for any reason... we're screwed. It's the only free press we have left in this country.

And about the kids playing outside, I agree. I'm 41 years old, and my entire childhood was spent outside. Instead of the Playstation being my electronic baby-sitter, the whole outdoors was my playground.

Of course, we only had 3-4 channels on tv, all full of reruns, and no video games until I was a full-blown teenager.

I took my 2 boys fishing when they were age 15 and 9 and I had to put the worm on the hook for them. They thought it was "gross".

When I was a kid, I used to catch crawfish with my bare hands, clean them with a pocket knife and cook the tails on a fire I started myself.

Of course, I didn't have virtual worlds to play in on the tv set. It's a different world nowadays.

Finally, some common sense.

Finally, some common sense.

Monthly book burning. First Tuesday of every month. At my house. For the sake of freedom.

The Occult World Of Commerce

http://video.google.com/v...

Description: Jason Whitney presents brief yet elaborate audio-visual occult/esoteric roadmap to understanding how our legal/banking systems are fundamentally predicated upon one thing, "commerce,” and the regulation thereof. The questions to consider are however, who is doing the regulation, what sort of regulation is being done and who has reaped the benefits from such regulation? Jason Whitney further asserts that the extraction of money "energy" from society is made possible by and through corrupt judges and other judicial henchman demonstrating the economic element of their criminal enterprise and how the fines, fees, restitution and forfeitures received by the courts have been deviously embezzled by Judges and their co-conspirators. The occult dynamics, esoteric concepts and other intrigue presented by Maxwell and Whitney is fundamentally essential for anyone who desires a greater insight as to how our out-of-control legal/banking construct is designed and operates in America. This presentation addresses: Man as a Word-Controlled Creature Civil Law vs. Admiralty/Maritime Law Maritime/Admiralty Law Superimposed over Civil Law One's Mother as a Merchant Vessel Giving Birth as a Commercial Maritime Concept Hospitals and Energy Farms Spiritual Beings vs. Human Beings Freemasonry, Banking and the Court Connection Judicial Slush Funds The use of Public Records Act Requests

I get it now.

Since Big Brother is actively trying to infiltrate the internet for the purposes of ruling over the masses, we should let Big Brother regulate it for our own protection.

The internet is not the problem. Big Brother is. MySpace is not the problem. The members are the problem. And the parents of the minor members.

Shame on you.

You just don't get it

The internet was created by the government. It was called Arpanet. No need to infiltrate something you created. You need to sit down and shut up. Take the opportunity to actually learn something.

Arpanet - (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) developed by DARPA of the United States Department of Defense.

Did you write shut up?

The irony.

You can lead a horse to water

but you can't make it drink. Thanks Rhino. I'm now done with you.

Have a nice day.

Alright ...

Now maybe there could be a discussion about the topic that was posted.

I think you might have more fun surfing the NET for

porn with your kids. The discussion already happened. So sorry.

Bye bye.

Thank God

For Freedom.

Alice in Wonderland

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Me

I get you.
I understand you.
I wish you well.
But I completely disagree with you.

This is the BOMB

I've posted this vid before. Watch this watch this watch this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the sake of totalitarianism let's ...

let people join whatever religion they choose.
Let people speak their mind.
And let everyone own a gun.

It's a lot easier to rule over the masses with such restrictive laws.

I got an idea ...

Let's make it federal law that all kids must live outside until sun down.

How about for the sake of the kids ...

let's make the law applicable to all.

That depends on which set of laws you are talking about?

There are two sets. One set has been dead for 100 years.

Peace!

RP always says if you aren't willing to accept the good with ...

the bad, we will be sacrificing freedom for safety. And you know what Mr. Franklin said about that. We will not deserve nor have either.

Not only is that asinine,

Not only is that asinine, that's not what anybody here is saying (and yes, I detect your sarcasm).

If you'd rather plop your kids in front of a computer monitor or a TV all day, that's your prerogative. Get back to me in 20 years and let me know how that turned out for them.

I let my 10 year old son ...

serf porn. I tell him it is his God given right. LOL.

Yippee.

Yippee.

Seems to me that you should go outside

with them. I am not your enemy, I am a friend. Instead of posting this stuff on this site you should educate yourself. If you would like, you are welcome to come to my home in Florida. This will be no vacation. Me and my buds will take you chapter and verse thru this stuff. You will need the vacation after your visit. I have been stuck in the "system" for 5 years now. I'm kicking the hell out of them. Once I win one thing, they comeback with another. It's become a game. A game that I am really good at, but I'd rather be playing outside with my kids. Enjoy it while you still can.

God forbid people actually

God forbid people actually PARENT their kids anymore ... then internet safety, etc. would probably be less of an issue. I agree 100% with whoever it was that said to make your kids play outside!!! Geez! No wonder we have a bunch of fat, insolent, lazy kids coming up. Nobody wants to do their job and parent. Instead we give the job to TV and Internet and X-box. Give me a break.

That was me

thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I agree 100% with whoever it was that said to make your kids

play outside.."
Americans are afraid to let children play outside. The news medias have overblown the idea that children are in danger, with abductions, rape, kooks, and strangers with candy. Give me a break, they over-inflate the danger to make you keep your children inside:
1. Fence in your yard, don't talk to neighbors..
2. God forbid you ride your bike around the block, everybody out there will hurt you..
3. Sign your child up for the VeriChip! This way they will be safe and you will know where they are at all times...

Don't believe the hype, crimes against children have not gone up, only the amount they talk about this stuff on the news, and the length of time each incident is talked about. That's the crime.

That's a really good point,

That's a really good point, lynnopoly ... perfect excuse to keep them inside and entertained by the idiot box. Funny how I used to get irritated when older relatives called it that when I was younger ... lol. Now I see :-)

I am always amazed

to never see children outside playing. I live in a rural area, low crime rate, on a dead end street, yet NEVER EVER see children outside.

I remember riding my bike 3 miles to the city pool every day in the summer when I was a kid, sometimes back and forth 2 or three times a day.

We used to play kickball in the street or go to the field at the end of the street and fly kites, build and play in the tree houses..

I have a neighbor who just put up a swing-set for her kids, does she want my kids over? No, she's afraid if something happens we will sue. Even though I invited her kids to our trampoline and pool several times (they never came). My daughter (8 years) was literally in tears because she couldn't go play. How do you explain this to a child? How do you comfort them and explain it's not personal, when in all actuality it is.

lynn, that is so sad! I

lynn, that is so sad! I second everything you said ... it seems that kids these days hardly have childhoods anymore. Instead of a new bike, for instance, they would rather have cellphone and iPods, etc. If they only knew what they were missing out on!

You're welcome! It hasn't

You're welcome! It hasn't been THAT long since I've been a kid (I'm 32), but when I look back on that time my younger sister and all our neighborhood friends were always outside! It was like pulling teeth for my poor parents to try to get us to come in at dark! I have such great memories of those times ... what will kids today look back fondly on? "Man, I remember when I was 13 and I got to level such-and-such of whatever game ..."??? Sad.

Of course, I'm sure (hopeful) that all kids aren't like that - I'm not trying to generalize across the board.

I'm 45

I remember doing the same things. My sons baseball coach stated to me that it was a shame that kids don't play ball any more. They barely fielded a team. They are out doing what ever. Our youth are being robbed in so many ways. MySpace, facebook, the internet...It's all crap. There is nothing of ANY value to a kids on the internet. They become zombies. Just look around. The evidence is every where.

It is scary how wrong people can be.

People need to look at the other side of things. The title to this tread is correct, but it needs to be looked at in reverse. You can call me a "kook" all you want to. It doesn't change anything. "They" call Dr. Paul a "kook." Doesn't mean it's true does it?!

What would Dr. Paul say ...

concerning the subject of this article?

Be careful whose name you invoke.

Hopefully you will awaken soon.

I'm not the one who is asleep

Really......You have no idea. I've stated my piece.

The interenet is going to end 'democracy'?!?!

And people will read this and actually believe it. That's pretty sad. I suppose it'd be too far out of the intellectual reach of the writer of that article to grasp the concept that the USA is supposed to be a REPUBLIC, let alone the major difference in the rights of an American INDIVIDUALS to privacy vs. the need for government transparency.

The USA in not a republic

It's a dictatorship. You have no rights. There are no laws. The US is a foreign corporation that is controlled by the Queen of England. GWB is the President of the corporation. You are a slave to the corporation. Slaves have no rights.

DogStar is Right

It is amazing to me how few people on this forum actually know about this. Go to www.USAvsUS.info and start reading up. There is much to learn, grasshopper.

Why does Ron Paul say "we dont need a new revolution"? Is it because the first one was never completed??? Research Lincoln in 1871, the emergency war powers, the reconstruction acts, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the 14th amendment and the incorporation of the District of Columbia...

Thank you Hot Rod!!!!

I was wondering when back up would arrive!!!!!

Dude ...

What are you smoking? I need to know because I need to stay away from it.

Wake up

That's what this whole revolution is about. Why are you here if you do not understand the "construct."

This is the second revolution against the powers in England. You need to understand that!

McCain London Fundraiser Tied To Deported Russian Oligarch

the event will be held at Spencer House on St. James's Place, "by kind permission" of Lord Rothschild and Nathaniel Rothschild.

Ask yourself WHY

is McCain hosting a funder raiser for the AMERICAN presidency in the "House of Spencer." Yes...THAT house of Spencer!!!!!

Articles like this are so irritating

As a member of the generation that the author of this article is about, I can confidently say that this person does not know what they are talking about. Nobody I know on facebook or myspace puts their personal information. Nobody of my generation that I know personally is dumb enough to allow complete public access to their profiles. They only allow their friends to access it. And for the stupid ones who actually do put their private information out in the open, they are figuring out the hard way that it's a bad idea (for example, having a parent or employer find your profile.) I have a problem with people from older generations calling the younger generation ignorant. We grew up with the internet. If anybody knows about violations of privacy or sex predators online, IT'S US! And for parents who take away the internet for their kids, the internet is not TV. The internet is a place where you can learn anything instantly. The internet is a place where you can be anonymous and express yourself freely. The internet is a place where like minded people can organize to get a presidential candidate elected president and raise millions of dollars in one day.

I have to agree....

with you on this one Shannon!!!

Well Shannon, then you

Well Shannon, then you obviously hang out with people who have better sense than to post personal info online ... however, not everybody is as smart as you and your friends are. Even in my local area, there are plenty of stories where teens post such information online, and in a couple of cases, have had "stalkers" follow them to after-school practices, etc.

When you agree to the "contact" on FaceBook you agree that

FaceBook owns the content. It doesn't matter what's available for public viewing. It is now theirs to do as they see fit. This is very dangerous. Go look into it. Do the research.

That is amazing...

Especially since I have been thinking here lately about how screwed we're going to be if they start taxing the internat and regulating it's use... if they take it away from us.

As far as the kids are concerned, that's the parent's responsibility. I don't need the federal government to baby sit my child by determining the content of what I can access on the internet.

If you don't want your child to abuse the internet or be abused because of the internet, don't let them on unsupervised.

Imagine if the content of the news and information on the internet was just as controlled and manipulative as the main stream media. Ron Paul would only have a tiny group of supporters, I'm afraid. Where else would they get his message? You sure didn't see much of it on tv, and when you did it was marginalized.

If they take away the internet, the last bastion of truly free press will be gone. The internet AIDS democracy, it doesn't inhibit it. That's what the MSM does.
