I found a great site that contains a wonderful summary of the history of the money changers. It is well-documented and factual. It's not scary, but it provides great insight into the reasons why the Federal Reserve was created and who is in control of it.

Many sites boast "one stop shopping" with all the info you need in one place -- which is great!! -- but some are, indeed, rather frightening, or just plain old overwhelming, as the OPer noted.

Well, another new site is up, and is soon to be publicly announced. Its focus is purely on learning about liberty in general. Not scary or intimidating, and hopefully not overwhelming, it is a place to visit more as a resource than as a "take-action" site. It would work well hand-in-hand with many of the other sites mentioned in this thread.
