I.O.U.S.A. -- new film on the federal deficit!
Just saw this as a local TV news item in SW Florida: A new film about the federal deficit is due in August -- just in time for the RNC in Minneapolis! Ron Paul was featured next to recently resigned Comptroller General David Walker in one brief video excerpt shown over the reporter's announcing.
I hadn't heard about Walker's resignation, but when googling just now a February post from dailypaul came up near the top. It's linked below -- from Walker himself!
Walker, like Dr Paul, has been a lonely voice preaching about the dangers of continued deficit spending. After some 15 years in office with nary a vote against his Senate confirmation through multiple administrations of both parties, he has HUGE credibility. The fact that he and Ron Paul will be featured in this forthcoming film gives me renewed hope!

I saw Walker on 60 Minutes some time back.
I just remember feeling so sorry for the guy. He was very stressed and frustrated that no one would listen to him. He was the "Accountant General" for god's sake and the administration wouldn't give him the time of day.
Hope his life is better now.

Walker was on Glenn Beck more recently
Hopefully Ron Paul supporters have gotten over earlier resentments about Glenn Beck, who generally redeemed himself while having Dr Paul as a guest. And he brings up Dr Paul again in this video, although Walker didn't pick up on it. Which is fine with me. If Walker endorsed Dr Paul he would be ridiculed for politicizing his views & lose credibility as a result. Better that he keep the credibility & be saying things similar to Dr Paul, which could help our guy gain credibility at no expense to Walker.
Here's a link to Walker on Beck's show in January, before he resigned. Even if you still don't like Beck, check it out because Walker is the newsmaker, not Beck:

Oops -- I must have hit the post button twice. Can't delete it so just look above for the correct text.
how pathetic, we need to put
how pathetic, we need to put out movies to get news because the media sucks so bad. I am excited to see this movie.
I love how on Yahoo! Movies
I love how on Yahoo! Movies it says "Starring: Ron Paul"

Also, regarding David Walker, some here would say he joined the dark side... he joined the Peter G. Peterson Foundation. Peterson is chairman of the CFR and former head of the New York branch of the Federal Reserve. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Peterson was the mystery billionaire.
sorry...what mystery
billionaire?

Saw that
Film was featured on CNN today at around noon as well.
Thank you for posting that.
I know it was released at Sundance but haven't heard anything since then, I was wondering if it got picked up and will be released to the public.
More on the new I.O.U.S.A. film here
Thanks for the Sundance reference. That helped me find this review, which praises the film enthusiastically but indicates there's no deal for release -- as of January anyway:

Then there's this, which comes from the film's production company and offers uniformly positive comments from a dozen or so reviews (in box at lower right):

There's more, I'm sure; these came up near the top when I googled "I.O.U.S.A. Sundance"
