Anyone having trouble with this site?

Since this site came back up, not only can I not access my account, but more frustrating is the time it takes to go from page to page. If I respond with a comment, it takes forever to go there and then back. Sometimes it pops right over, but usually it gets hungup. Anyone having this problem, or is it my computer?

Yes, I've had problems. One thing is that it is very slow indeed.
Also, I receive the message below every time I sign in:
"user warning: Unknown column 'login' in 'field list' query: UPDATE users SET login = 1208626707 WHERE uid = 12298 in /home/manystrom/www/dailypaul.com/includes/database.mysql.inc on
line 172".
What does that mean?
I hope someone will correct the problems soon and also
update us on what is going on.

.. SQL query statement in a script. They happen now and again for various reasons. Nothing to worry about.
Some resource that was available prior to the failed upgrade attempt is not available now. Most likely.
The uid=12298 (uid = userid) is probably trying to access the same database tables that is used for the contact info and reference uid's for the individual contact pages that seem to be missing...
I find it slower than before and also
- have had trouble posting comments
- and whats the deal with "output"
Upgrade was a downgrade
You cannot use the search feature or access a member's profile as well.
Could be a server bandwidth problem

because this site gets around 16million hits per month. Check it out, there is a little icon all the way at the bottom of this page on the left.
It will show you the stats per month and so on.

.. 16 million visits in Daily Paul's total lifespan. Monthly has fallen down to 300k-400k.

I noticed it yesterday for the first time. Like everybody is saying, it's very slow, almost like dial-up. I thought that I was having a problem with my computer. Sometimes it won't load at all. Hope he gets it fixed soon.

I responded to a post yesterday, then clicked "Post comment" the sys. lagged and I did'nt want to refresh and lose my msg, so I clicked post comment again and it burped out three (3) of the same comment. I believe its just a bandwidth, traffic or server lag? Thanks for the correlation.

If you watch..
.. the urls of the various page elements load (on the bottom left for firefox) you might notice that "sitemeter" and google ads are taking a long time to access/download sometimes
I think it's external links to ads on Daily Paul that are slowing things down.
If you post a comment then re-load that forum topic in ANOTHER window you will notice the comment is posted well before the window you used to create the comment is resolved...

When I post a comment, sometimes I'm half-way through typing it when the screen jumps down, as if something on the page finally finished loading and shifted the display.
I just assumed MANystrom was still working on the site and hadn't finished the shake-down cruise. (None of this assuming it was MY computer, for me!) For one thing, when you see an increase in double-posts, you know other people got tired of waiting.

Try this..
.. when you "reply" right-click on the "reply" link and open in a new window. After you click "post comment" then go back to the old window and refresh.
You will see that your comment is there even though the "post comment" window is still doodling around with external links or whatever it is doing.
Works for me... =)
Yah, I hate that thing where the page finishes loading and the screen jumps and you lose the cursor right in the middle of typing. Grrrrr! ;)

Thank you for your responses. I told Michael Nystrom about this on the 16th when I let him know I cannot access my account. Hopefully he is working on it. I hope that if he sees this thread, he will do something, if he is not already.

i have high speed connection... and i sit there waiting like i have dial up speed....very time consuming....
