Ron Paul supporters kicked out of FL. GOP meeting
An ongoing spat between supporters of Republican presidential candidates John McCain and Ron Paul flared again Thursday, when pro-Paul dissidents were kicked out of a Pasco County GOP Executive Committee meeting.
Sofie Lefebvre, a Paul supporter, said a sheriff’s deputy escorted her and her husband out of the Land O’Lakes Senior Center, where the meeting was held.
Their offense?
They are Republicans who don’t support presumptive nominee McCain. Though McCain’s nomination is all but assured by delegate count, Paul is still in the race.
“It’s this little nasty game going on,” Lefebvre said. “This isn’t America where you don’t let your own people into meetings. This is absolute fascism.”
Bill Bunting, the committee’s chairman, said it was a “special” meeting open only to precinct committee members, and he did not want any disruption of a busy organizational session.
“We had a limited number of seats,” he said. “Sheriff’s deputies will be hired from time to time. We’re not going to have interference from people who are not members yet.”

This is truly unfortunate...
but, it's the reason why a third party bid was the path of least resistance.
Let the RNC have their fascist party all to themselves. The American Public no longer supports them anyway.
Executive Committee Meetings are for Precinct Chair and Above
Just wanted to mention that in Dallas County the Executive Committee meetings are for Precinct Chairs (a Party Office in Texas) and those holding official Public Office. If Florida is the same then the GOP had every right to ask the individuals to leave if they were not Precinct Chairs or those in Public Office.
The thing that bothered me was it seems like certain people were blocked from running for Precinct Chair if they were Ron Paul fans. That's not right or legal. That's a separate issue though. So in two years all of you who are still in this need to become Precinct Chairs. I am in my precinct and I'll be trying to educate those in my community on traditional conservative values that Dr. Paul and others bring to the table, and promote the politicians that share those values.

Agree, we need to pick our battles.
The cards are stacked against us this year. In two years, WE need to be the people holding the cards.
The most egregious abuses of power still need to be documented and aired:

If nothing else, these examples help to educate the American voters about the way our government and our liberties have been hijacked.
Everyone Must Bring A Camera To Every Event, Large & Small
The way you get back at them and receive positive results is to post the video on YouTube, DP and Digg. This is so very important.
You know what they say the worth of a picture is. Just imagine what the worth of a video with sound is. You might even have had ground for a law suit for emotional damages.
Always bring a camera and a good witness.
Starrt your own convention
file law suit on both GOP and the police department. Lets make our own GOP caucas, by the ruels in every place they are trying to keep "we the people" at bay
Legal defense fund
We should get a legal defense fund ready in order to protect our rights and hold these police departments accountable. "THE BLOOD OF THIS BEAST IS MONEY" what I understand from talking to high ranking police officials is that nothing slows down their corrupt protection racket like costly lawsuits.
These are hired police.
You have a right to free speech.
Wearing a uniform does not give them any rights when they are paid by the GOP.
You are supposed to think it does.
Without the uniform they are regular people.
Therefore they can do nothing.
If they touch you and force you out, that is assault.
The only question is it public or private.
I suspect private.
Democracy at it's finest!

Watch and feel the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As Ron Paul said...
Fortune Favors the Bold
Unintended consequences. these tacticis will alienate the rank and file, and inspire more republicans to rebel against the Neo-con stranglehold.
Crazy
The GOP is shooting itself in the foot. What happened to all these Reagan worshippers who supposedly believed in building a "big tent" in order to win?? If they keep up their crap.. I call for us all to switch parties permanently to Libertarian. I spoke to the Texas chairman of the Libertarian Party two weeks ago and he was discussing what will happen if the GOP keeps treating us this way, which is to build up the LP and use it to replace the Republican Party as the second party in the two party system. I agree with him. We even discussed the process that needs to occur to do such a thing, and it can be done. Also, I found out that the Libertarian Party candidate will appear on the ballot in 48 states already this year. Just hope they pick a good nominee.
The GOP does not want to
The GOP does not want to win. If they really wanted to win do you honestly believe they would be doing the things that they do?
My guess is that this time around it is "their" job to keep Ron Paul from getting the party nomination.
I'm already Libertarian.
The only way I would ever even CONSIDER voting GOP again would be if I was voting for Dr. Paul. Anyone else in that party can go straight to hell!

I agree...
I think that after this election, regardless of outcome, there will be a natural disenfranchise-driven trend toward a third party with very little effort. I think it will just happen- id be willing to bet itd compose ,over the next 5 years, half of both parties. This election- good or bad- will mark the end of an era.
no way
I say we kick them out of our party for morphing it into a fascist den of liars. Change it from the inside out. We can do it as long as we stick together and fight for it.
A third party will never be allowed to take hold. You think they have control within each party, third party equals no chance. We have to fight for our party plain and simple, boot out the bad apples. Enough of us there diligently fighting and a few law suits up their arses, we'll see who takes over.
Oh yeah- Im all for fighting to the last breath up to the
convention Then voting RP if i have to write it on an uncountable copy of the Constitution and dropping it in the box (I refuse to use Diebold). What Im saying is that the stink of BOTH parties has grown so unbearable that even with no encouragement - over the next few years a 3rd party will be solid. Im in no way saying thats our only hope- im just saying that I see that as a natural by-product of the general digust of the people- ESPECIALLY if anyone but Ron Paul is in office for the next 4 years. The nation wont stand for 4more years of war, recession and party grid-lock. In 20 years (if we havent self distructed)people will be surprised that we "used to have just dems and repubs to pick from". Theres alot of passion in this election- alot of people wont take any one outcome lying down- especially RP supporters.
It would be much easier to
It would be much easier to build up a Third Party than to loosen the deathgrip the neo-cons and the Rockefeller Wing have on the Republican Party.
It can't be done. It hasn't ever been done successfully. Nomination of a Barry Goldwater who lost the presidential election and was mostly ignored the rest of his career wasn't a victory. Election of a Ronald Reagan who was largely a puppet, for eight years, followed by George Herbert Walker "Let Us Have a New World Order" Bush was not a victory either.
The Republican Party is rotten to the core, and should not be impeded in its headlong rush toward the ashbin of history.

Any organization who does
Any organization who does not welcome new members is dooming themselves to extinction. I used to live in Pasco County and I can not believe this all. I was elected to the Land o'Lakes Chamber as a director, and held all my same views then. Someone there must have this "takeover" mentality or is being paid off. Something is very strange. The rest of the members should be called and told that something strange is going on that they did not want the at large members to know about. We are all Republicans here...something stinks.
Do you know anyone in Pasco you can call?
If you have contacts there, you might ask a few questions about what's happening and point out that their reputation is suffering.
IMissLiberty
exactly Cricket. The key here is "the rest of the members..."
People become interested and active in their local government generally because they have a deeper sense of civic pride than the average Joe. (im referring to unpaid positions mostly), so when I hear about things like this and the horror at Nuece County in Texas- Im really holding on to the hope that good and decent people who happened to be McCain supporters can see that what is being done on their behalf is inherently wrong. I like to think there are Nicodemuses who are standing in their kitchens the next morning saying "I dont feel good about what happened last night- I dont like the RP supprters either- but they WERE cheated - what we did...wasnt that corruption?" Bendy rules are one thing- like knowing the ref made a bad call against your rival team but being okay with it because youve had bad calls too so it all comes out in the wash- BUT if you saw that the game was being rigged you may say "this isnt fun". I know alot of McCain supporters would give up their rights for peace and see corruption as the end justifying the means- but there HAS to be some out there who know "wrong " when they see it- like Nuece Co. I wish we could get a list of those in attendance and ask them a few questions.
The Old Guard and Neocons
The Old Guard and Neocons will stoop to any low necessary to stop Ron Paul Conservatives from returning the GOP back to its Conservative platform. It seems that the new thought in the GOP organization is happy with socialism and John McCain won't disappoint them.
Most Republicans are not happy with the official leadership, County, State and National, typically low membership turn outs at meetings proves that point! Its time for a change of the guard and in most cases The Ron Paul supporters have the numbers to do it! !
Vote for Ron Paul for Presidential Candidate of the GOP and POTUS!
