The Revolution: A Manifesto AVAILABLE NOW!

Although I received my copy unexpectedly early, I've been very busy. Nonetheless, I am almost finished reading it but will certainly read it again.

I just finished reading my copy of Revolution A Manifesto! I promptly ordered a gift wrapped copy and had it shipped from Amazon to my congressman. Can you imagine if four other people in my district did the same? Or what about 50? We might really capture his attention.

Just arrived today…I did the two for deal, “A Foreign Policy of Freedom” as well, was left on my front porch in a little brown box…It feels like Christmas in April : )

I went to Barnes & Noble this evening to get my copy, and this is my adventure. First, I scoped out the new arrivals tables - No Revolution. Next I checked out the political table - Wrong Revolution (Jesse Ventura's). There are books from all politicians including current candidates, broke candidates, retired politicians, talking heads, etc. No Ron Paul! Next off to the Non-Fiction section - No Revolution. There was "A Foreign Policy of Freedom", so maybe I'm headed in the right direction.

I finally gave up and asked for directions. The gentlemen behind the counter looked it up in inventory, and YAHTZEE, there are a dozen copies. He was trying to help, but we checked the same tables as before - No Revolution. He asked his supervisor for directions, at which point we went to the back corner of the store. There on the top shelf next to extra copies of David McCullough's 1776 was The Revolution: A Manifesto!

Of course he is the only one who knows how to operate the ladder on wheels, so he climbs up and gets my copy. As he is coming down, I ask him if he could get several more of the remaining books down. When he gets down, he asks me if I am going to give these as gifts. I said, "No, but could you please display these in a better location."

classmate of mine wanted to stop by Borders to find a study guide for finals, and while we were there, I found Dr. Paul's book. I was thrilled cause the computer said it wasn't available yet, but I checked the shelves anyway and was rewarded for my efforts.

We should have a thread that consolidates all the book promotion ideas the grassroots have suggested so far, and start organizing to act on them. Dr. Paul gave us this tool (the book) for a reason; we should use it for him.

I just bought a copy today at Barnes and Noble!

I just started reading, but I love the way Dr. Paul explains his ideas of limited government.

Can't wait to hear his latests comments about the "Den of Theives"!

I got my copy on Friday from Amazon.com. I have only had time to read about 1/4 of the book so far. I love how he gives examples and quotes supporting his arguments.

I hope to get it signed someday.

Make sure you're buying as many copies at brick and mortor stores as you do on Amazon. The New York Times people don't look at internet sales. They look at established booksellers preorders.

Plus, the book has to be nominated in the first place before they even start to look at those sales. To get the NYT, you have to purchase from Barnes and Nobles Boarders, Walden books, etc.

Just bought a copy at Barnes & Noble in Pasadena... drove home like a man possessed, licking my chops like a hungry panther, anticipating opening up a can of whupass on those other wannabe candidates, all the while mixing up my metaphors and dangling my participles out the window at passersby...

The Amazon email said that my copy of the book shipped and should arrive by the 25th.

About half way down the email it mentioned the 5% discount for pre-orders of books. Hmmmm.

I went to the Amazon site to check the price; $12.60. Back to the received email; 12.60. That's curious.

I called Amazon to see if it was not considered a pre-order. They apologized, said it was a technical glitch with online orders from time to time, and credited my account with $0.73. LOL

I just cannot allow a large company to take money from me; even if it's under a dollar.

Up to #44 on the list.

Would love to hear a report. Did the books sell out? Was it a madhouse? Etc.

Amazon was great! I pre-ordered mine a few months ago from Amazon and they shipped exactly when they said. Can't wait to start reading it. I'm buying 5 more for gifts and to help push it to number one. RP08. Now more than ever!

I got my book last week. And Frank is correct-"the preface alone will blow you away." My new favorite Ron Paul quote: Truth is treason in the empire of lies. YES!!!!

As I read it I kept saying that I have to remember what page this is. There were too many pages to remember. I'm going to read it again and keep track. This truly is a must read for all Americans. If I could, I would by everyone a copy. Our man is a genius.

I am a rather slow reader but I suppose in this case, that is good! :-)
I am only on page 30 right now but I have to share a quote of Ron's here. He is speaking about our present government "The original Right, opposed Big Government at home and abroad, and considered foreign interventionism to be on the other side of the same statist coin as interventionism at home. They recognized that Big Government was no more honest or competent in foreign policy than it was in domestic policy. In both cases it was the same institution, with the same people, operating under the same incentives".

I too have a wait time of 7-10 days. I can't really see amazon having a shortage on books they knew they had to have prior to the actual release date (presale). But if that's the case, it would be rather impressive.

if this book is going to be sold from the store on the official campaign website?
