Break the banks with their own fiat currency

I have a great idea to get back our freedom. I believe that the heart of the problems we face are based in economics.
We are controlled(enslaved) by our monetary system based on fractional reserve banking and a fiat currency.
We are being presented with a perfect opportunity to overturn this corrupt system and overthrow the elitists who control it for their benefit at our expense, with the money they are planning to "give" to us. Perfect opportunity.
We need to start a movement to get everybody who is getting part of the 150 billion handout from our government to commit to using that money to buy silver. Not gold- silver. Silver reserves are very small and because there is a huge industrial demand every year the existing supply is small. And due to the fact that there is more silver sold short than even exists this buying would cause a massive short squeeze. (Who do you think is behind all the shorts?)
There is about 1 billion ounces of silver inventory or about $18 billion worth of silver. Even 100 billion going into that market would cause a huge run up.
A rapid and sustained run up in the price of silver by those who are taking possession would cause a gigantic short squeeze as there is more silver sold short than exists. http://news.silverseek.co...
I believe this would create a run on precious metals and a flight from fiat currencies all over the world given the current situation of the credit markets. It could very well hasten the end of the dollar and the end of the power of the bankers and elitists who control us through the monetary system. If the dollar became worthless as the people of this country moved to precious metals our foreign debt would shrink inversely, I think. Our masters will never allow us to go back to the gold/silver standard but they are giving us this opportunity on a "silver" plate. Wouldn't it be ironic to break them with their own money? Talk about justice!
Maybe we could debate the effects of something like this here.
And after all it is "free money" so you have nothing to lose and end up with a hard asset in the form of silver which is what our founding fathers intended. I will gladly
put my families $2100 into silver.
So what does everybody think? How about a huge "Silver Bomb"? Get the buzz on something like this going and the media will be all over it.

Wooden nickels and paper dollars, don't have much value.

Regular coins have some real value as well.

Regular Coins

I get the gold color one dollar coins at the bank. The teller looks at me funny, but every time I go in, I have a different reason to need them.

When I pay for things with them (and these coins are just regular money) it gives me a chance to talk to people abour real money and the Constitution. I tell them them that these coins are AT LEAST worth something.... while those paper dollar are NOT. Most people appreciate the information. Some have never thought of it before.

I say, "Coins are our Constitutional money, those Federal Reserve Notes are not." The U.S. mint and the US Tresury are doing their jobs. Right now they are releasing 1oz silver eagles - which are worth spot price = ~$17.00. We have the coins to use, we just don't. Well, I do but most people don't. So, I am doing what I can.

I have not tried to use silver coins at spot value as of yet, but I do believe the time is coming when shop owners will welcome them. They are better than Euros!

I am writing a piece about coins on my webpage but am not done quite yet [donnamatrix.webs.com]. I will try to finish it up soon and publish it to the web.

Carry a chart...

Of course you may have to carry a conversion chart with you if you are using both old coins and pure .999 silver pieces. Old coins however are much more resistant since they have an alloy mixed with the silver to make them hold up better to getting thrown around.

Thanks for your reply. I am

Thanks for your reply. I am still wondering if there are enough old coins to go around? I mean if a lot of us start to do this, then won't we run out of the lower denomination of coins?

That is my point about minting 1/2, 1/4 and 1/10 oz silver coins. Plus doing the math will be so much easier. The pre-1965 coins are 90% silver so you can't go by what a troy ounce is selling for without doing some conversion. I just think it would be easier if someone minted these smaller denominations in .999 silver coins.

Trade with all nations; alliances with none. ~Thomas Jefferson

The solution to your problem

The solution to your problem is already availible, use old copper pennies, they can also be bought at coin shops for the spot price of copper. Old nickels also exist. If you want to use pure silver these can already serve as change. We already have the tools to bring down the Federal Reserve worthless paper, we just have to learn to use them or teach others to use them.

Don't take any wooden nickels or paper dollars!

We have to start teaching people around us the value of silver so that we can trade and barter with each other. As a kid many of us used to do this as a game with baseball cards, with silver it is just a matter of teaching people how to convert the value of silver coins to the value of worthless dollars. As it was pointed out below, if enough people did this the paper dollars would become worthless and our national debt would be zero!!

I agree with you. But it

I agree with you. But it seems that there is a need for smaller silver denominations, don't you agree? If we are to do this silver money thing we need 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce and maybe 1/10 ounce.

For example, my scooter only holds 1.3 gallons. How is the guy at the gas station going to give me change for a one ounce silver coin?

These are just thoughts and I am hoping someone will have a solution. I do know that the pre-1965 coins are what is being told to use. But that weight and measure is different than 1 oz silver .999.

I think we need standard weights and measures. Like what the constitution says and what congress is supposed to do.

Trade with all nations; alliances with none. ~Thomas Jefferson

There is another way....

The constitution says that coin is our currency. Just start hording and using any U.S. coin. All coins have intrinsic worth - even though they are worth less (some more) than face value.

STOP USING PAPER MONEY!

I am using the new gold colored one dollar coin. I carry about $40 of them whenever I leave the house. (bigger purchases I have to use my ATM card, sorry, can't be perfect).

There is only 36 billion dollars in coin in circulation (source is the Financial Management Service, US Tresury). There are >300 million people in the US. That's only $121.30 of coin per person.

If 1% of the population hordes $12,000 dollars worth of coin - then there would be NO COINS in circulation. We would control the REAL US MONEY..... Rothchilds said "Give me control of the nations money and I care not who makes hers laws."

So, if we control the REAL money - COINS - then we won't care who makes the laws.... Let's use their tools to build a better US.

Do you get those $1 coins

Do you get those $1 coins from the bank or a coin shop? Also, do they come in a roll and if so how many are in there?

Thank you for your reply. Shelley

Another option.

I would stick with America coin made from silver, but you can also buy Canadian coin since they were also made with silver as were Mexican coins I believe. Silver is Silver. These could come in handy as well as they are easily purchased and can be bartered will Canadians if you live close to the boarder or Mexican be that true as well. I don't know the mark up but sometimes they can be had at equal or even cheaper mark up.
grant

missing the point

The point is the gov't is giving us money in the amount of $150 billion starting next week which could be used to quit the dollar and break the stranglehold they have over us. If enough jumped on this idea it would work but for that to happen the idea has to be circulated and circulated fast. If you agree email everybody you know to get them informed and hopefully onboard.
Otherwise people will just go buy more consumer junk and the money will go back to the chinese who loaned it to us in the first place driving us deeper in debt.

I did purchase some more one

I did purchase some more one ounces silver rounds yesterday. I got the best price since January.

What I am trying to figure out is if there are 1/2 ounce silver rounds which are .999. The coin shop sells pre-1965 silver coins in 1/2 bags and full bags. However, that is way too much for me to spend on a bag of coins, thousands in fact. I wanted to get just a roll and they didn't have any.

I would like to have a smaller denomination of silver. So if I needed to purchase something for less than one ounce in cost, I will have the correct change or close to it.

Are silver rounds, made in

Are silver rounds, made in smaller weights than one ounce?

I know you can purchase pre-1965 silver coins which I have done. But what about new money in silver, for 1/2 ounce and 1/4 ounce?

Does anyone know about new

Does anyone know about new 1/2 ounce coins in .999 silver?

I mentioned using silver and

I mentioned using silver and gold coins to purchase services to several of my clients today. The smart ones get it.

This seems very easy to do with self employed people. But I am wondering if stores will take silver at market value someday?

I really feel this is one area that "we the people" can make a change. If we choose to barter and pay for goods and services with gold and silver coins that could have a direct impact on Federal Reserve Notes. It might just stop Bernanke from printing more fiat money if there isn't a big demand for dollars. Any thoughts on this?

Trade with all nations; alliances with none. ~Thomas Jefferson

I was in the coin shop today

I was in the coin shop today and was able to locate only about 6 oz of silver in the city of Pittsburgh. I bought the 6 ounces and a fellow patriot stopped in right after me in his Ron Paul 2008 shirt. We was upset that they were sold out of silver and I offered to split what I was able to purchase with him. Let's think of our fellow patriots as we are a new family that must stick together and look out for each other.

It's becoming harder and harder to find silver locally.

Very nice.

jimmydeals ... that's a great story! Gold star for you :-) lol

I haven't purchased that recently but if what I'm hearing about shortages is true, I'd better get crackin'!

Yeah, I stopped contributing

Yeah, I stopped contributing to my 401K and use the money instead to buy silver directly. I already reached my maximum 401K match for the year and I figured I would be better off buying silver and gold (Mostly Silver).

I have had to resort to buying online from apmex.com and it's a 4 week lag time to get your goods (I need instant gratification). I call the coin shops weekly to see what is in stock and it's been tough to find any silver for the past month.

Good luck!

you, too?

i also quit contributing to my 401k about 6 weeks ago...i thought it was fruitless to continue funding the wall street profit-takers at this time...i buy silver every two weeks and believe me, i have never been happier! sure, i'll lose the matching funds my company provides on the short term but i figure i'll make all of that up, and more, over time...by the way, concerning 401k, what is 4% of nothing?lol

anybody else out there doing this...i smile every week and care a lot less about the stock market these days, i have silver!

Imagine the day.

What kind of world would it be without the central bank? Would it really be missed?

Put up or shut up!

The time to take back our country in now, get yourself out of Federal Reserve notes and use real American money. Old coins are the best way to educate people and they are legal. Trade with people, barter with people. Learn how to do it now and you will be prepared for when there will be no other choice. As long as we recognize Federal Reserve notes as having value they will have value, so let's get serious and not accept them anymore. Put up or shut up, put your money where your mouth is, real money that is!

This is already happening.

Time to fall.

Bring the banks down fast so we can get started on building up from the bottom again. Lots of people will loss either way, but at least we may bring down a few at the top for a change. The faster we bring it down the less chance they will be in possition to protect themselves. They want the system to fall so let's help it fall with our time table and not theirs.

Work for U.S. coins only! Preferably pre-1964

There is no law yet that says we have to work for Federal Reserve Notes.

Real money talks.

We don't need new money, we just have to use the old coins that already exist and learn to barter service for service.

Barter for services.

Thanks for the list of prices below and what value old coins have. It will come in handy when trading for goods that I need. Although the best way to trade is to use your labor in exchange for goods and services. Talk to your dentist and he may rather you repair a leaking sink in exchange for a check up. Can't hurt to ask. If you have exchange enough services for services than you really only need to make enough money to pay your taxes. And if you aren't making any money you don't have to pay any taxes.

Coin calculation

Calculating the value of pre 1964 silver coins. Multiply the spot price of Silver times 0.715 for the silver value of $1 face value of pre 1964 silver coins.
Example: $17.11x0.715 = $12.2336 x 5 = $61.1682 per roll of 50 silver dimes.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

Please, lets not intentionally accelerate any collapse.

The collapse will happen due to the long time ignorance, and arrogance, and apathy this country has had. Let's not try to bring things down, but rather take advantage of as much time as possible to prepare and communicate with each other. By all means, stock up on water, food and metals. I'm doing so myself, but let's not try to accelerate our demise. I actually have just finished thinking through a new economic and monetary system (which takes wealth away from bankers) which I will post soon, but not now because it's long and I'm behind in work and some (defensive) preparations I still have going. Metals will shoot up eventually anyway. They always do in a currency crisis.

This government, if you can

This government, if you can call it that, totally depends upon the Fiat Monetary System to maintain its power and it ability to coerce the People of this country. When the Fiat System collapses everything, including this government, will follow. Yes, it will be chaotic, dangerous and a period of great suffering however, if the Remnant of Liberty Loving People are prepared they will step into the void.

I SAY BRING IT DOWN!

Today, a person making an annual income of $35,000. 00 has the effective purchasing power, in 1970 "dollars" of merely $6,359.83 per year. So, a person making that $16.83 "dollars" per hour really has an effective purchase power of only $3.06 in 1970 "dollars" per hour. Now, can anyone see why the government must mandate minimum wages? The fact is that a person making the average minimum wage of $5.85 per hour has the effective hourly wage in 1970 "dollars" of only $1.06 per hour; in other words that person working forty hours a week has a wage of only $42.40 per week in 1970 purchasing power "dollars". Hardly a subsistence wage, wouldn't you agree?

Now, for more horrifying news, consider what has happened to the purchasing power of our "dollar" since the inception and imposition of the Federal Reserve on this country in 1913. That same $35,000.00 "dollars" per year has the effective purchasing power of only $1,622.74 in 1913 "dollars", or $0.78 per hour. So today, it takes approximately $21,568.48 "dollars" to purchase what $1,000.00 "dollars" purchased in 1913. In other words, it takes One Fiat Federal Reserve Note, $1.00 to purchase what $0.05 cents bought in 1913. These numbers however, are based upon the government's own CPI calculations, which are fraudulently low to say the least, meaning the actual numbers are even worse, but this little example gives you some idea about what has happened to the value of the currency.

What has happened to all that immense wealth? It has effectively been siphoned away from the People, making their labor basically free, making them basically serfs who slave by the sweat of their brow only to receive a pittance in return. That wealth has been diverted through the use of this Fiat Monetary Scam imposed against our Will and the best interest of this country by those who should be considered nothing less than criminals and traitors. Even today, they continue to rob the People of the fruit of their labors; these Bankers and their willing partners in government that allow these crimes and, at times openly support such underhanded methods of swindle are still deserving of nothing less than a traitors death. They deserve to dance the Tiber Jig. They continue to take the food from your children's mouths and consume the bulk of prosperity from the hard-working men and women of this country.

The 8 major shorts are

The 8 major shorts are already way into the red on their investment. Sooner or later they will need to cover, meaning 400 million or so ounces of silver will be purchased for that reason. Adding that much demand for silver into the market can only send the price in one direction, and it definitely isn't down.

Buy silver and exchange for goods.

Just have to remember to buy silver with fiat money but never sell silver for fiat money, use it to exchange for other goods. While your at it get rid of credit cards and other forms of slavery.

I think your idea is great.

I think your idea is great. But let's go one step further, like some of the others have said below. In order to help ourselves out of this fiat currency, we will have to start to pay for things in gold and silver. That would mean less dollars floating around in the country. And less on credit cards, boy Chase will hate that!!!

So when you get your refund get silver and start paying for some of your services with silver. You can start to ask some of those who do work for you if they would like to be paid in silver. Here is a list of possibilities; your hairstylist, esthetician, nail tech, lawn boy, baby sitter, mechanic, massage therapist, chiropractor, DOM, dentist, eye doctor.... Mostly it will be people who are self employed, not doctors who are with a medical group or hospital. Self employed people have the option to take whatever they want as payment.

No need to change make a new law we already have the Constitutio

We already have real money in old gold and silver coins, all we have to do is start exchanging them between ourselves and buy them up from pawn brokers. Of course it would be even better when they start minting them again with real value.

Good idea.

Just have to ask for personal curiosity stockoneder. Are you in the business trade of dealing with precious metals?

We can all say what needs to be done, but who here led by example today?

No. I do own silver and will

No. I do own silver and will continue to buy more though.

Sounds good I'm

all in with this idea.
We can all say what needs to be done, but who here led by example today?

Sure

Already onboard ,,,lets make it work

I'm willing.

I gladly exchange fiat dollars for good old silver dollars, halfs, quarters, dimes any day. It is a great way to trade with local farmers as well. My neighbor down the street sells chicken eggs, I imagine I can get a dozen eggs for less than 20 cents a dozen, I will try to barter him down to 2 dozen eggs for 30 cents. Also great for him since he can honestlly declare that he only made 20 cents a dozen.
