but I don't think they will like how I turn them over. That is all I have to say. Keep up the great work.
Unconstitutional. The ammo
Unconstitutional. The ammo is the consumeable PART of the arms. Would be just as senseless to say that guns are legal, but gun barrels are not. Or guns are legal, but the firing mechanism is illegal. Or the right to petition the government for redress of grievence is legal, but a response from government is not. Or the right to vote is legal, but a requirment to accurately count the vote is not...

Who do we know from those states? They didn't mention Texas! We've got a Republican running for Senate in Mass., Jim Ogonowsky, who's going to try to oust John Kerry. Wow! Wouldn't that be great! ;)
If they tried this in Texas

I don't have a gun or ammo, so, I don't claim to have a full understanding of what I'm about to suggest here...
Disclaimer out of the way, what if several people -- I mean, a whole bunch of folks -- who use the same kind of ammunition all bought their own ammo, each box "registered' to them personally, then they got together and poured all their ammo out into a great big pile, mixed it up, and then refilled their boxes with the mixed-registration-number bullets...
If enough people did this, wouldn't that pretty much thwart any "tracking" ability the registered numbers were designed to supply? Would such actions eliminate (or at least, greatly reduce) the usefulness of the registration numbers?
The first time it was discovered that some group did this...
..."they" would make it illegal to do so (if it isn't already).

In the last year, so-called “encoded” or “serialized” ammunition bills have been introduced in 13 states—Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Washington. Their goal: Destroy our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
All of these bills would prohibit the manufacture and sale of ammunition, unless the bullets and cartridge cases are marked with a code and registered to the owners in a computerized database. Most would also require gun owners to forfeit any non-coded ammunition they possess.

are actively buying up all the ammo they can find. A truckload arrived at a gun show and the govt came in and bought it all.

of ammo available at the AZ gun show in Phoenix last weekend

was it 1000 round cases of .223 or .308? and i bet it was expensive too..
right now trying to find reasonable m855 or m80 ammo is very hard to do.. and if you do find it in 1000 round cases they charge an arm and a leg for it! now if you say a 20n round box here and there or 50 round boxes for pistol thats common// but for military calibers its hard to find!
