Rep Steve King of Iowa
needs to see this. I watched some C-Span today and he long-windedly described how the soldiers want to stay in Iraq and finish the job. He exploited the words of one soldier's letter to make his case. He also said that the sacrifices of individual Americans in this war are small compared to what will be achieved. He said all dictators and tyrannical leaders will disrespect us if we just come home. He said that we will have to grovel in defeat to these unsavory leaders. He said that anyone who disagrees with established government is an insurgent. He said anyone who is against the war in Iraq doesn't know their facts and doesn't have the courage to do the noble thing by supporting it. These are just a few of the notes I took while he was speaking. This guy needs to be voted out of office....his speech made very clear he cares Nothing about the American people and his aim is to perpetuate the elitist agenda. If you are from Iowa, please try to vote this creep out.
"[Rep. Steve King] said that anyone who disagrees with established government is an insurgent."
So, insurgency is bad...unless you're the U.S. and disagree with the established government in a sovereign, Middle Eastern country...then, disagreeing and conducting insurgency actions is a GOOD thing.
If the individual soldier's opinion is the paramount issue then I suggest that those troops who wish to remain in Iraq should remain. Those who wish to come home should come home. McCain should pack his bags for a hundred year visit.
Disagree? Then you don't support the troops! Why do you hate America?

Dick & Bush wouldn't respect us anymore
He said all dictators and tyrannical leaders will disrespect us if we just come home.
Well, I guess that means Dick & Bush wouldn't respect us anymore if we got out of dodge in the U.S. Military Prefecture of Iraq.
Here are his full remarks that I believe you were referring to, if you can stomach it: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi...

Only bad if YOU do it
