Dr. Paul just knocks it out of the park right at the start. The Preface is so good I almost cried. This book is a genuine gift to mankind.

By that I mean Dr. Paul pulls the reader back into contact with the real issues of life -- and away from the corrupt chatter and pseudo-issues Americans have had crammed down their throats for so long. Love and freedom are the cornerstones of a healthy life, and high levels of love and freedom are necessary for a healthy society. Dr. Paul's writing brings that truth into focus, at least for me. I think it will have a similar effect on many people.

Read this book. Buy copies to give away. Keep the revolution alive, long after the election has passed.

Ordered it with Judge Napolitano's book, too.

FoxNews is reporting a possible publishing company by Dr. Paul. It makes a good way to fund future candidates. They can get a book out, we all buy it and then he uses that money to fund a campaign. Sounds like a smart option.

It was great. Just enough detail on each subject and not to many big words to scare off non intelectuals. I plan on buying all of my friends and family a copy. I challenge everyone to use some of their stimulous check to spread the word of freedom. Then I am going to challenge my friends and family to do the same.

I finished the book in one sitting, since it's short (not even 200 pages front to back) and it is one of the most accessible and elegant defenses of the principles of liberty. Plus, Dr. Paul has a reading list at the end that allows anyone to see what influences and ideas have informed his opinion.

What an impact this could make. Dr. Paul has given us this amazing book. Just think of the impact this could make if we attack this with the same zeal that we achieved on the big money bomb days. Then we were just giving money and never truly knew how it was spent. By buying and giving out these books, we ensure that this message of freedom can be spread far and wide over and over again for years and years. Books last!

In each book I buy and pass out I am putting the following message on a blank shipping label attached to one of the front blank pages:

Please when reading this book, don’t read it as a Democrat, or a Republican. Don’t read it as a Liberal or a Conservative. Read it as an American who values your freedoms.

I am not sure how to best organize this (nor do I have time) but we should try and get the book in the hands of all the delegates at the national (and remaining state) conventions.

Sure there are some diehards that would ignore it or even worse throw it away but if we converted even 10% of the delegates we would would be in a much better position next year. These are people that are already dedicated to the mundane GOP process which if we have learned anything this past year is worth way more than your average voter.

Can anyone help me get something started to collect books for and distribute to the delegates?

I personally am going to send a copy to my brothers. Each from a different major selling site.
Then buy a copy at the local bookstore. While at the book store I will place some copies in highly visible places around the store. Shoud be fun.

I should have two coming to the UK at the moment. Everyone should buy a box full and give them out to their friends.

I got it at noon on the 24th and was done by 12:30pm the next day!! And I mostly only read it at work! :D

It was an excellent starting point for those that need to have their eyes opened.

(Okay, sorry; this will look long, but I wanted to keep this promotional idea bundled in with this thread.)

Already got your copy? Great -- now read this anyway!

Here's the plan, and something you can easily execute on your own or, better yet, with your Meetup group:

Each Meetup member (that would be YOU) calls or walks into a bookstore -- make it one specific store (i.e., "the B&N on Main Street in Springfield") that you will all visit.

Ask at the information desk for "The Revolution: A Manifesto." Even if it's on the display table at the front of the store with gleaming lights shining down upon it, make a point of going to the information desk and asking the clerk to help locate the book for you. This will help let shopkeepers know that there is demand for the book. I did this...even though the book was on the display table literally right in front of the info desk. :) Funny thing is, it still took the clerk over ten minutes (seriously!) to locate it himself, the both of us traipsing throughout the store in search of the title. Bet he'll remember where it is now!

If your local bookstore doesn't have the book in stock? Walk up to the info desk, request the book, then when they tell you they don't have it, tell them you'd like them to order it for you. You may not even have to pay for that up front, by the way, and my local B&N says there is no obligation for you to come back and buy it once the order arrives (though it would reward the store if you did follow through with your order, which also solidifies the veracity of your request). If you were to order some obscure, hard-to-find title, however, they might hold you to the purchase, but I've never encountered that myself.

Now, don't do this as a group. Don't have one person from your Meetup order twelve copies. That will be interpreted as one compartmentalized group interested in the book. Each person (again, that means YOU) go in individually (and not several people at the same time!) and request that the book be ordered. This sends the message that several people in town (rather than "one group") are interested in getting the book.

Finally, if you already own a copy of the book, pass the freshly purchased book along to a person unfamiliar with RP (which is something we hope to accomplish anyway, right?), and ask them that they, upon completion of their reading, also go place an order for the title at the same bookstore and "pay it forward". :D They may or may not do this, but they definitely won't if you don't ask them to.

At the end of the day, the store's cash register receipts will show X number of sales for the book no matter how they're purchased in-store (raw data), but the clerks (and therefore, hopefully, the manager) will know there has been a lot of demand from people not only purchasing the book, but asking for it specifically, and even placing orders for it (informed data).

Oh, and in your downtime, when you're ready to curl up with your own personal copy of the book? Don't do this nestled up in your easy chair at home! Get your body into a more public location -- either that same B&N or a Starbucks or some other gathering place where people hang out. Let people see you reading the book. Hold the book in such a way that people can see what it is you're reading. Yes! You get to read your book and you get to be a live advertisement for the title!! Be sure to have some RP lit handy with you when you do this. :) And now, I'm imagining customers milling through the coffee shop area of the bookstore, and noticing individuals here and there, each reading the same book...and what message that might send...

Help create an awareness of the demand for this title! Each person do this! And pass this message along to Meetups you belong to (because of course, you belong to several area Meetups) and to other RP supporters.

Quick Review:
1. Pass this message on to Meetup boards and other RP supporters
2. Go to your local bookstore
3. Ask for the book, even if it's in the store and you know exactly where it is
4. If it's in the store, buy it (for yourself, or pass it along to someone who needs to get informed!)
5. If it's not in the store, order it
6. Relax over a caramel mocha (mmmmmm) and read the book in public
7. Pay it forward!

Total cost: the price of one book, a coffee (optional), and not much of your time, most of which will be your own time to relax, anyway.

Benefits: you get a book, a coffee (still optional), and the chance to DRUM UP AWARENESS and ADVERTISE Ron Paul's book FOR FREE while enjoying reading it yourself.

Today and I am about 1/3 of the way through. It is a great read. Even with shipping, it was less than 20 dollars on amazon!
