I understand and appreciate your post but I'm not comfortable with your title.

It's probably just me but:

I was born with my rights and do not feel the need to beg for them "back". I never gave them away and they are unable to steal them from me.

We need to stand up and against evil, for sure. The politicians need to be made crystal clear on the fact that they have overstepped their boundaries far beyond those set by the Constitution. In other words, we need to fight to put them back in their places (not to mention removing most govt. departments).

I will not beg for my rights. To do so is to give them even more power and to legitimize whatever claim they think they have over me.

I am a sovereign individual and they are they invaders.

We all have our roles.

We fight it like a Sumo, and push against it continually, until we can get an opening, and then accomplish as much as can when we get an opening in their defenses.
We are "rising up" right now on this forum, even though it is not any form of military type uprising. Any quest for more freedom is automatically an affront against overarching gov't control(which we certainly have now).

Remember, their ranks are NOT solid. They are actually but a few, who "leverage" alot of people thru power and money. Most of those they control are not "true believers" and they are mercenary and probably cowards, who are just in it for a buck. If the money disappears or gets tight, these people will bail from that sinking ship and the evil ones will be left standing alone to run for cover themselves.
They don't really hold as much power as they'd like to convey.
That's why they use the "terror tactics" of police state beatings and killings, and Gestapo uniforms, and making you stand in line or be stopped at checkpoints. These are nothing but fear conditioning to make the populace more pliable, while making their power appear to be great and scary, when in fact it is pretty weak. It's a very classic approach that is time tested over centuries. You don't have to beat everyone up, but if you beat up just enough of them publicly, the rest will fear the beating and get into line. So, simple.

They are not strong, and the current economic crisis is weakening them dramatically. If they piss off their lackeys by cutting their pay or benefits or retirement incomes, to try to extricate themselves from this mess, the lackeys are going to jump ship and the "masters" will be left powerless. But, if they try to keep all the lackeys happy, they don't have enough money, and the whole system collapses because their borrowing limit is maxxed-out. If they try to bleed more out of the people, they push over the "tipping point" and the people rebel, and they don't have enough power to stop that and they know it.. Interesting dilemma.

I think this whole house of cards is coming down.
The only question is what will shake out in the aftermath?

To call the Christains who did not fight the Roman soldiers when they come to get them and lop off their heads cowards is crazy. These people on most casses whent up and put their heads on tha block and forgave the people doing it to their face. They would sing while the lions killed them. You say sheeple. Thats funny because they are no more dead than the people who fought back. But until their last breath they bore witness of their creator. Perfect example is the Children taken in texas. They have not fired one bullet yet millions of Americans are outraged by what they see and becomeing vocal. See there captivity has done more than protesting or calling your senator or all the activities the Ron Paul movement even done. A family not known by anyone in 2 weeks have maybe 10 million peoples hearts. We in the Ron Paul movemet have been working for over a year and have only got the support of 1 million voters. Add in maybe 2 million more for the people who don't vote you get 3 million total. Not bad for a movement of 400 most of them kids. You think your going to win over the hearts and minds by doing something to scare the leaders. Go ahead but mark my words not one person in this nation will greave for you. Most people won't even know and for those that do get media coverage your parents will get the great reward you leave them to be labeled a terrorist and an enemy of your nation and to be labeled the mother and father of that traitor. The score not one person won over to your cause not one person won over to your creator and savior. In reality you have just jost one and they will walk right over your body and move on to the next guy seeking to lower your number by even more. War is a numbers game. those who gain the largest number usually win. when your number hits 0 game set match. and to the victors go the spoils. The battle you are in has already been won my friends. God has already won the victory for this war on the cross. This will be like nothing ever seen before on earth. Those who know their God will set back and wtch this one. they won't have any choice. This one is going to be his win alone that way the world does not say anyone on earth did it for him. Anyone who watches this war and doesn't believe in God will deserve the pit. and don't do like most Christians today and pick the parts you want out of the bible. you either believe the whole thing or you don't. Go back to believeing what your fathers teachers taught you in their scools your all worms. its better that you are hot or cold because the lukewarm he will spew out of his mouth. And then you set and call other people sheeple and cowards be careful what you say God is listening. also this whole thing boils down to who will you worship in the end. If you worship Jesus they will kill you if you worship who they tell you too you will live. If you kill them and take a life you both worship the same father so why fight. This is a war for minds nothing else. Man just do what most Christians do worship the three headed God hes got Jesus as one person of God that will cover the christian part plus you can worship the other 2 persons and not get your head cut off. Your a winner all the way around. The only thing our nation can do is stay out of the NWO as long as we can. If we achieve that then the whole world will turn on us but we will at least be united in fighting for our right to be a nation and defend ourselves. This God approves of. Show patiance my friends. pay attention to all that is happening around this world. Keep your eyeys and ears open for God. Hes working all around us. Gllorify him for all he is doing and all that he has done. Don't seek after religions seek after good sound doctrine. maybe start by actaully reading the bible from front to back with a longing in your heart to have God reveal himself to you as you read. Maybe you should stop being so tough and let your guard down while you read it open up your heart with some desire to know the truth. maybe realize what times we live in and be honest with God and tell him of the fear you have in your heart and ask him to help you remove it so you can have peace and feel joy in your hearts during these last days. after all this time that is the only solution. All these people who talk about reason and philosophy and ideology are going to have their eggs scrambled trying to explain all the things that are coming. There will be many people who will have so much fear they have heart failer and fall down dead. For a person who is not born again this will be the worst of times for a person who is the best of times why? Because Jesus is coming back and then all this will be over and we won't have to live with wicked people any more you want to know why God will send people to hell because his children don't want to live with them any more. and you are wrong we are not all children of God we are born sinners. Don't think it is coincidental that the Patriot Act shot around the second amendment the way it did. It effected the first, fourth, fifth, eighth thru thirteenth and maybe a few more beyond that. They know that trying for the firearms has always been a flashpoint with the masses. They still do it in small patches (Katrina, recent tornado devastation in the mid-west) but it's always on the QT.

They know when they come for the guns on a wide scale they will have tipped their hands.

I think repealing Posse Commitatus coupled with Bush's attempt at even more Draconian 'emergency powers' recently has already tipped their hand.

Let's toss this out there... what do you think of a Bush dictatorship before the next presidential term? False-flag attack followed by 'emergency powers' sponsored martial law.

I am really torn on how to answer this question. I want to say that at a certain point "the people" (read- enough people to have a significant impact) will wake up and realize what is going on, and will respond with righteous anger at the corruption and oppression that is already running amok in this country. I want to say that it is only a matter of the government over-extending it's hand and pushing us too far. Honestly though, I don' think this is the case.

There are two important points I'd like to make:
1) The vast majority of any population, when faced with situations such as the one we are discussing now, will curl up in a fetal ball and hide in the corner of their bedroom before they would put their own life on the line for any ideological reason. Even in the worst of situations the desire to stay alive will triumph over the desire to fight for justice. Most people are just too petty and selfish.

2) The elites in this country and around the world are not stupid. In fact, they are probably more intelligent and organized than any ruling body in history. One of my favorite quotes comes to mind: "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." Don't underestimate the hold that propaganda has over this country! The vast majority of the populace is already brain-washed into compliance, and those that still have some lingering questions about any number of issues are bombarded with propaganda day in and day out. It makes it difficult for even the most sane and rational person to sort out what is truth and what isn't. Furthermore, the powers that be know that the old frog-in-a-pot technique is the only way to turn up the heat on the population of this country. Do not think they haven't learned from the mistakes of past would-be tyrants. There may be a certain event or series of events that act as a catalyst for the big shift, but it will not happen over night. It has already been happening for decades.

I would fight, I would die, I would be labeled a criminal, nothing would change. This is my cynical opinion.

If I am willing to defend myself and my family, I am willing to defend others who want to be defended as well.

In "shock and awe" we watched the Patriot Act strip the Constitution of any meaning. We should have taken to the streets then, but we did not. Now we look into the future, and wonder "is this the event? Is this the day? When? Where? How do we stand up? Here is the cold, hard reality I have accepted. There was a day I would have stood beside any of you and fought for your rights, but no one called us together. I answered the call for the political challenge to the tyrants, it may well be that too few uf us answered that call to be effective. At the end, it will be door to door and one by one that we make our stand. There was only one man who united us at all, and he has pretty well passed on taking any leadership role other than his continued political efforts. Now we will be hauled off, family by family and one by one. Some for our religious beliefs or lack thereof, some for wanting to homeschool our children, some for using herbs for medicine, some for fighting tyranny a bit too effectively and being labelled "terrorist." There is no "thing" that will unite us, the better question to prepare yourself is "When and why will they be at my door and how will I react?"

in germany with Hitler the signs were all there and the people never rose up, they were thrown into the oven. People today are the same. When a person chooses to fight it comes with persecution. I have been fighting for 5 years. We are running a add in the newspaper naming high officials and want to run it again here (minnesota) before the convention. We want impeachemnt in the judiciary, it would follow in all public officials. I try to recruit fighters all the time, not many want to get involved.

If Dr. Paul is continuing, according to the MSM, to poll at under 10% nationally, does this mean that, for over 90% of the voting population, requiring the government to obey the U.S. Consititution is an idea or concept, so far removed from the mindset of the general population, that it has lost any genuine meaning or value/importance in their lives?

Several posters has written about collecting weapons to defend their homes and families....that's wonderful, if you're alive/conscious to do so.
Based on the escallating scope of each 'terrorist attack', our next one should be a doozie...I hope like hell that I'm wrong...but I personally think we'll have a bio attack this late summer. That would kill 100k+, it would usher in Marshal Law, therefore suspend any election indefinitely...it could also get the masses running to the camps for the innoculation that FEMA just happens to have prepared. FEMA would also be in charge of the military...most of the good-guys are overseas...leaving who to do the dirty work on US soil? This whole thing stinks like Limberger.
I say, we use our Stimulus Checks to purchase military-grade gas masks/suits...sure, I sound like a paranoid fool....but if I'm right, I'll be the only person still alive in my county.

By voting in Ron Paul, I am shouting as loud as I know how. With all that goes with this, donating, canvassing, conventions, writing congress people, emailing, blogging, reading and educating myself. My vote for Ron Paul is a cry loud and clear for me.

The real tipping point, not just for us, but for a large section of the populace, will be if they try to confiscate firearms. It will probably take pushing it to that point before people resist the state.

I would march for my rights, I would stand in front of a tank for them, if necessary to preserve my family's life (or to prevent them from going to a death camp) I would be prepared to shoot..(in self -defense) I would , however, pray first and ask for wisdom as to how to deal with the situation- Guilt is worse than imprisonment.

As for me, I'm ready now-the Patriot act and the free-speech zones at the Republican debate were enough to inflame my righteous indignation. (#1) as for the nation- I think it may take a massive repressive action by the government.
