REVOLUTIONARIES NEEDED to Phone Bank Hawaii!!!!!
Fellow Revolutionaries,
The GOP in Hawaii is playing dirty. They are attempting to spread the false message that the only Republican candidate in the race is McCain . They are also claiming that Ron Paul is no longer in the race. They have done this first by removing Ron Paul from the GOP website:
They only have McCain listed as the presumptive nominee.
Here is the MOST OUTRAGEOUS part:
They have begun phone banking all the delegates that will attend the convention to let them know that McCain is the only candidate in the race in order to sway the outcome of the State Convention. We cannot let this happen!
Here is my proposal for any and all willing revolutionaries:
FIRST contact the chairman of the State GOP, Willis Lee, and let him know that they should include Ron Paul on their website. His email is: chairman@gophawaii.com
SECOND phone bank the Hawaii delegation to let them know Ron Paul is still in the race.
Here is the list of all delegates:
The State Convention will be held May 16th - May 18th.
We need to get as many people calling as possible. If you call on nights or weekends from your cell it will be a free call. If you can't call then email them.
We have a good chance of winning Hawaii and the GOP is afraid, let's show them what we can do if we work together!
KEEP THIS BUMPED UNTIL MAY 16TH!!!!!
PS The area code for all numbers is 808.

Still no Ron Paul on their

So...I accidentally killed my personal email account today by sending out emails to over 500 Hawaii delegates...so my first bit of advice if you do this is (ahem) send to smaller chunks of addressees. At least I made sure to Bcc everyone. :)
Second, the list is not all that recently updated. I got responses from some people who say they are not delegates, and I got quite a few bounce backs of "undeliverable" messages; about 40 of those.
I did get some responses, and those responses were...interesting. A few were of the basic "please remove me from your mailing list" variety (I sent only one email to each addressee and have no plans to email them again). Fair enough.
But...woah...some of the responses really give one a glimpse into the mind of the hardcore McCain supporter. I share these with you to provide additional insight on fellow Republicans who either haven't heard or refuse to hear Ron Paul's message, or possibly just can't believe restoring our nation to a Constitutional republic is possible. A few examples:
One sent an 11/14/07 article called "The Ron Paul Campaign and its Neo-Nazi Supporters" (article found at http:// www. americanthinker .com/2007/11/the_ron_paul_campaign_and_its.html), which is predominantly all about allegations that RP is a bigoted white supremacist (*yawn*).
Another came from a former Director in one of McCain's previous campaigns. Among other things, this person said, "If you joined the McCain campaign, you will have a voice. With Ron Paul, you are labeled a crazy and will be without voice. The Republican primary is done no matter what you say or do." But then again, this person also said they "liked my spunk," so I've got that going for me.
Another typed IN ALL CAPS THROUGH THE WHOLE MESSAGE that McCain has all the delegates; "How many has your candidate got??" (I'm pretty sure I heard a faint "nyahhh!" right there.) Well, apparently we've got more than your guy does in Nevada...
A district chair had this to say: "A second question is why don't you realize that Ron Paul does not strike a chord with America any more than Sen Thompson, Gov Huckblebee or any other GOP candidate?"
Then of course, there was the ever-elegant, "You GOTTA be KIDDING. Ron Paul is NUTS."
So, dear readers, these are the people you have the opportunity to chat with. Enjoy your visit. The goal is simply to inform them that RP is definitely still in the race, and that they indeed have a choice. Be calm. Be brief. Be civil. Be better than they are.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
I mailed chairman@gophawaii.com and demanded Ron Paul on the homepage.

wow...thanks for sharing.
wow...thanks for sharing. Actually Im not all that surprised by their reactions.
Can you also get on
www.ronpaul2008.com and make calls from the website???
The website doesn't have the
The website doesn't have the delegate list for Hawaii
Time Zone
One more thing! If you call, remember that Hawaii is three hours earlier than Pacific Time (e.g., if it's 11:00am PDT, it's 8:00am Hawaii time).
So any late night folks in the mid-West or the East can make night owl calls that will contact Hawaiians in the early evening.
Here's My Email Message
Below is the email message I'm sending to HI delegates -- use this if you wish, but put it in your own "voice" so people don't receive what may seem to be a form letter. Also please respect privacy -- even though this list is available publicly enough, etiquette prefers that you send "To" yourself, and "Bcc" all the addressees.
I plan to send this to every email address provided on the HI Delegates Excel list. Out of the 61 delegates and alternates I've sent this to so far, about eight have bounced back, so the list may not be completely current, fyi.
Here's the message I composed. Again, feel free to use it, but please, change it up a bit so it's not an identical copy. Please exercise professionalism -- these are our "brothers and sisters" in the Republican Party, and we want to be their friends.

GREETINGS FROM THE GOLDEN STATE!
I am a fellow Republican, 2,500 miles away, taking time on this lovely Sunday to send you an important message.
You may have received faulty data from those who wish to deny you your right to freely vote. There are some who are deliberately spreading misinformation in order to trick you and manipulate the vote of delegates and alternates who have worked hard to make it to the state, and hopefully national, convention.
The purpose of this message is to confirm to you that there are in fact TWO Republican candidates running for the office of President:
John McCain AND Ron Paul
Surprised?
In hopes of convincing you that you have no choice, and that you must vote for the "only" candidate, several delegates and alternates in the Aloha State have been intentionally lied to on this matter. The people spreading this false information are fully aware that Republican Ron Paul is, in fact, still running for office. It is not an oversight on their part.
I imagine such practices concern you as much as they do me. Resorting to explicit chicanery to trick votes out of people is not the Republican way. And I, for one, am embarrassed that my party would tolerate such a thing.
You might ask yourself why these people would go to such great lengths to purposely feed you false information.
If you don't yet know about this proven conservative, fiscally responsible, Republican presidential candidate, Texas Congressman Ron Paul, I urge you to visit his website, and get to know him and where he stands on the issues that matter most to you. Visit http://www.RonPaul2008.co... and find out about him for yourself.
An informed delegate is a powerful delegate. Don't allow charlatans to cheat you out of your power.
Thank you for your time. Here's to a successful, honest Republican campaign.

Leave phone
messages & emails you guys. If you don't want to talk to anyone, call & leave a voicemail after hours. Let these people know we are not asleep & that they are being watched.
A voicemail takes less than 1 minute;
If you can, create a msWord general email to forward to papers, political parties, etc. to send when you see Dr. Paul being unfairly omitted. It all takes less than 3 minutes & you fighting for Dr. Paul & our R3VOLution. Let them know we are aware & watching!!
good catch! time to flex some muscle
This is exactly the kind of thing we need to stay vigilant for, and then respond appropriately. Good job to all! Make those calls -- politely!

Comment here on what delegate #'s you are going to call, so we don't repeat calling them.
I'll take #'s 400-450, including their email addresses if they have one listed. A call an an email will insure they get the message.

yes
The area code is 808...thanks for the reminder
Offer the chairman a way out.
If you email the chairman, be aware that he's likely to trash any emails with Ron Paul's name in the subject line (because there will be a zillion, all saying basically the same thing). Instead, try a subject line that offers a solution to this new PR problem he has. Here's what I just sent:
Subj: Avoiding convention disaster
Dear Mr. Lee:
Thank goodness word of Ron Paul's omission from your convention materials has reached his Revolutionaries early enough for you to avoid disastrous consequences for your Hawaii GOP Convention. A list of all your delegates has been posted online, and a telephone outreach to them is being organized.
If Ron Paul is not treated fairly -- e.g., included on an equal footing with McCain in all party publications and convention communications -- and evidence to that effect is immediately available to Paul's grassroots legions (corrections to your website implemented, and verifiable corrections in other areas available online), there is little doubt you will face very unpleasant consequences.
What consequences? I can only guess. But here are some possibilities.
Your delegates are informed of the true situation, and asked what they think about conflict-of-interest problems for the GOP -- giving preferential treatment to one candidate before the nomination is finalized the only way it can be: in convention. There are issues of malfeasance, fraud, bylaws violations, and perhaps election law violations -- I haven't checked, but those would be standard.
Also, your delegates will learn vastly more about Ron Paul and his drive to return the GOP to its conservative roots than they otherwise would have -- with uncertain results for your convention process.
The liberal Hawaiian media will be sorely tempted to expose your favoritism and explore its ramifications.
Finally, there's no telling how a roomful of informed delegates, outraged at the transparent unfairness of the Hawaii GOP, will behave during the convention. If you imagined a unifying love fest, I'd suggest you rethink that notion.
With best wishes for an honest, open, and positive convention,
Kent Van Cleave
