The Republicrats will try every tactic they can to try and deny the freedom movement, including the implosion of their own party. They'd just go over to the Dem branch of the Republicrats.

A preview of my concerns about the national convention?

Start at around post 90-

99:Holly crap they tried to adjourn with out a vote all hell has begun

115: Congressman bob beers was chair and left he has vacated the building and now we are trying to get quarum-hold

131: They siezed the ballots

135: No quorum

139: All the Ron Paul people just outed themselves as GOP hacks! A disaster!

140. If they've seized the ballots, and left the building without an official adjournment, and there is a quorum in place, someone make a motion to suspend the rules, then elect a temporary chairman and continue with the convention.

The convention is not officially over until there is a motion to adjourn, it's seconded, and voted on.

145. I wonder what Ron's thinking/doing right now?

151. They actually took a recess and told us they would reconvine in las vegas--450 miles away and they would let us know when - no votes to recess

158. THEY can't tell YOU when to reconvene. The ASSEMBLY must VOTE on both the recess, and the location and time for adjournment to end!!1!1!

170. This sounds like a desperate attempt by the party henchmen to run the clock out on Paulites. But considering how many Paul supporters will drive a couple hundred miles to hear Paul speak, I bet a significant portion of them would travel to Las Vegas for this "continuation" of the convention. We've followed Paul for a year or more. What's a few more weeks?

Even though we don't have the details, I suspect this is what happened:

189. The party leadership saw how much more energized the crowd was by Paul's speech than Romney's. They sensed momentum sliding Pauls' way. As soon as some close 2/3 votes were held, they knew rules could be suspended at any time and they had to "adjourn" before control of the convention was lost.

Bingo. This was close to a 2-to-1 vote. The 6PM conventional hall rental contract closing is a red herring. I'm sure there were contingency clauses, that could have allowed the hall to stay open if they approved of the party business taking place. The GOP leaders were afraid the Paul contingent would take over.

213. Let me get this straight. There were about 700 delegates in attendance in support of RP. The party leadership does not think these 700 people will go back to their communities all over Nevada and TALK TRASH about the party for months to come? They don't think this will affect future party elections? Man, talk about "blowback".

224. We've got to make it absolutely clear to all delegates in future conventions.... If you think the RP contingent itself is a quorum, do not leave unless they are using tear gas and water cannons on you.

The party may try to add fresh delegates to the next assembly. They have elsewhere.

so, because they didn't get their way in a fair vote, they canceled it.... talk about fascism at it's finest. When you can't win, just cancel the election and declare yourself dictator.

My district caucus was today and I felt there was some dissapointment that roughly 5 out of the eight delegate applicants were Paulites. One RNC women said we were so far from their party that we were pretty much the opposition. And why did we not have to work our way up the local Republican Party before trying for a delegate? I did not have the time or courage to argue with her.

We need 6 spots filled and only eight applicants showed, of twenty applicants. Being one of only two women I may be a shoe in. The bad thing is that we will be bound by the first three votes to vote for Mcanus.

I am the worst public speaker. It is really embarrassing. I may need to take a speech class.

I will find out this week who ellected.
