New NH TV ad MUCH BETTER!

This ad is a hundred time better than the last, and the reason is simple, they let the good doctor speak his message, plain and simple.

thumbs up from me as well

Just wanted to add another voice of approval for Ad #2.

Love it !!!!!!!

LOVE IT.... Good Job Ron.... !!!!

bump

good thoughts...

To the "A salesman's defense of NH ad #1" forum..

we've had a lot of ad discussion about this today...and have wiped our bitter tears and have happily moved on from the first ad to the second...check it out...

The first ad

They're not still going to run that one too though, are they? Anyone know?

Thanks you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Given the first one was not really the best effort I must say, This one is great and really speaks to the heart and conveys the genuine message of Ron!

The first commercial had the right idea, just horrible execution. I want a redo on the first one to be done by local meet up groups that have commercial making in their repertoire and sent in to RP for his use

Cedric
I will be voting for Ron Paul, even if he is not nominated

Good

This is more like the kind of ad I would expect from Ron Paul. The other type of ad I would expect is to show his supporters live in action, no canned crap.

I hope it's not too late to edit that first one.

What is good about this

.
... is that voters can see and hear Ron Paul, talking about things that matter. This will go well with the first one, which - despite its flaws - had a certain charm.

I liked the Declaration of Independence in the background also. Very simple and good - all of it.

It's hard to get a good message across in 30 seconds, but this one will do much to familiarize our guy with the voters.

Superb ad

Dr. Paul just hearing you speak will bring in thousands of new supporters
you are inspirational !!!!

New Ad

First Ad: a cheesy B Movie, Second Ad: Academy Award

Tremendously better ad!

Tremendously better ad! Great Job Dr. Paul

Excellent Ad

Strangely, it makes me appreciate the first ad more as other people can often sell someone else better than that person. The combination of Ron selling himself along with other people selling him works well and understand the campaign strategy better now with the different style of ads. That being said, the concept of the first ad was very good, it was just the "canned" verbage that created the major problem.

Awesome, much improved over

Awesome, much improved over the first attempt and I immediately made another contribution to keep building that war chest.

Let's show the campaign we approve by dumping some more money their way!

Good ...

I like it, but I am a little concerned with the "take care of people who need it" aspect. It's important that we return to the constitutional role of government domestically as well as internationally. I agree with the idea of phasing these programs out -- they can't be eliminated in a day -- but it should be over a year or two, not a lifetime. Paul's desire to shrink government is one of the greatest reasons he can appeal to disenfranchised traditional conservatives in NH and elsewhere (like me). He should emphasize that he doesn't believe all these wasteful social programs are authorized by the constitution, and that he intends only to have a transition period, and return the government to its proper role. I know that he believes these things, but he should be careful not to turn off NH conservatives who may not know very much about him.

It's a dicey topic. How to

It's a dicey topic. How to make it clear to fiscal conservatives that he's opposed to the welfare state and would like to ultimately eliminate it, while making it equally clear to the other side that he's not a monster who wants to toss people out on their ear.

I think he's handling it as well as he can. He recognizes that people have become totally dependent on the government, but sees them as a "species" that needs to become extinct.

I do think he's doing a

I do think he's doing a pretty good job of it -- it's important that whenever he mentions financing social programs he puts it into the context of eventually phasing them out. This is the best way to not alienate anyone. I'm a little concerned that if I hadn't heard of him before, from that ad I might believe that he supported the indefinite continuation of these programs. I think there are a huge number of people that want the government to return to its constitutional role, and don't see a candidate that supports their views. As his record shows, Ron Paul is their candidate -- that's the message we need to get out, especially for the primary.

I actually was willing to take the time to reconsider my position on foreign policy after I found that I agreed with Paul on almost every other issue. I think that others may be willing to do the same (for a number of issues), if he clearly espouses his principles. It's more important to be honest and show conviction then to "not turn people off". As I say, I think he's doing a good job, but he needs to be careful, since the temptation will grow with his popularity.

Oh, man! Whatta load off my poooor head!

Phew! That 1st ad was a killer.

BUT THIS ONE IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it, love it, love it, love it, love it!!!!

We're back on track! All aboard the Freedom Train! Wooo woooo!

Here we go again.....

ha! ha! I agree.

Choo Chooooo! Chugaluga Chugaluga...Freedom Express continues it's trip across America!!! ALLLLLL ABOARD!!!!!!!!

Yes, much better!

Yes, absolutely! Much better. Clear, succinct, quick, to the point, not over-made, not bagging on anybody else, just tellin' the truth. Very good.....

digg buries again

if you care anymore about digg, they just buried the story about the sec vid. Saw it in real time, that's the only reason I'm making a comment, otherwise I've given up on digg. Was at 130+diggs on the top of What's Hot in 2008 Elections and then it got disappeared.

Here is the link to the story:

It Might ...

... make sense to place the official campaign web site address on all ads. I think this is all the #2 ad is missing.

It appears briefly while he

It appears briefly while he is talking.

I approve !!!

I'm 'America Loves Ron Paul More Than Sean Hannity', and I approve that message !!!!

2nd ad much better

I think a little background music would make it perfect.

Keep it simple

OLD PEOPLE get confused easily.
NO MUSIC - Just the good doctor talking.

Glendale Keith

You seem to not have very

You don't seem to have very high thoughts about old people...

Without music, it might be a better contrast against the probably noisy ads before and after. Viewers might first think that the commercial break is over and pay more attention. It's fine as it is without music.

Not really.

I work in the health industry.

Generally the 70+...

Old folks do need more time, especially sending a "new" message.
I usually repeat myself several times, keep everything very simple and listen to there feedback.

Retirement is harmful to your health.

Glendale Keith

The perfect ad

The message.
The man.

Yes, this ad has everything!

This brightened my day

a little now....I was very concerned after that first one, but it looks like they'll be running at least one decent ad.....we should e-mail the campaign to thank them for a good one after the backlash yesterday....and also try to stress the importance of running this one and NOT the first one....this is the nice, soft, foot-in-the-door kind of ad that everyone's been saying he needs....

e-mails...

I think the last thing that they need are more e-mails... :) They pay attention to us and know that they have calmed the horde... :)

better

bump

Ron Paul needs to sell Ron Paul

This ad is much better simply because it is Paul getting his message out. Also, I've made an edit on my "The First Ad" thread notifying people that this ad is out and is much more along the lines of what people expected from the first.

This is great. I think they

This is great. I think they should keep them like this from now on, but add some rally footage in every now in then. He still has a bit of that orange look, though. ; )

use

the quote,"i am the champion of the constitution."....instead of,"i approve this message"

with ron speaking himself he obviously approves the message.

all ye of little faith

I like the strategy so far and I'm glad to see the mood is improving around here. I trust and have the utmost faith in Dr. Paul.

Great ad!

I really like this one! Like other commenters, I agree that no one sells Ron Paul like Ron Paul himself!!

And yes, keep the background - The Constitution.

Maybe even take the Slogan Idea from another thread:
"The Constitution - making a comeback"

YES!!!

THAT IS A GREAT AD BABY!!!

RON PAUL 2008!!

Stay positive no matter what, one mistake is nothing!

This ad is awesome.

Stay Up!
Kemp

Yea baby YEA!

Now that's what all of us were talking about. This ad is exactly what needs to be seen on TV.

Excellent.

Yes, yes, yes!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you...
I'll take my head out of the oven now! :-)

Clean. Good script. I love the way he looks, and nothing sells Ron Paul
like the original thing! Oprah says it's why she always appears on the
cover of her own magazine.

Nice....backdrop and the lighting on his hair and shoulders.

In addition, I really wish they would also use the alcpac commercial...I've always been impressed that someone would lovingly create that powerful image. I'm a graphic designer and really react strongly to it.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Puh-leeeeaze bury the first ad "pronto" (ouch)

Agree, Photoshopwiz

They could use that same image, even with RON speaking over it, whatever the actual message. I agree it is a POWERFUL graphic!!!

The Powerful Image of Ron Paul and The Constitution

yessir...JeffnDallas, the graphic is totally ICONIC and PURE GOLD. I wonder who did it? Any ad agency would have gotten an industry award for producing it. The image of Ron Paul and the Constitution is highly appealing and is HIS brand. WHY NOT KEEP PUSHING IT?

Every politician tries to wrap himself in the flag. Only one (living) politician deserves to be seen standing with the Constitution. You've got a winning combination...

...this goes hand-in-hand with his new bill to defend the Constitution, the AFA, the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007, a welcome change to the imperial presidency of GWB (even the liberals are getting hot for it...and we want their vote, yes??)

The emphasis is on WE THE PEOPLE...not the president!

It sure gets me excited! From the beginning to the end of the campaign, be consistent with this imagery. This is a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.

I would vote for that man for President

I think this ad is exactly what I was hoping for yesterday. I am sure there are other good ways to present the message, but I like having Ron sell himself. He looked much better in this one and he sounded very confident and relaxed. Way to go!

RON IS REAL!!!!!!!!

Go Ron Go! More, More, More!!!! Encore!!! Encore!!! We'll have them dancing in the streets. Ron is so Real. We are all so lucky to have a chance to have someone like him to vote for. So lets, Work, Work, Work to get this opportunithy to come home for all of us.

OKAY, YEAH, I AGREE...

okay, on second though, the constitution behind him would be okay. but for god's sake DONT MAKE IT THE FLAG.... that's been so used and abused its a turn off now...

A+

This is it!

Love the Constitution "backing him up" :-)

It was almost as if to say, "The Constituion is behind me!" Whether accidental or subliminal , KEEP THAT AS HIS BACKGROUND whenever "he" is appearing on these TV ads!!!

Perfect!

That first ad had me worried sick. This one is MUCH better and nails the foundation of his platform. And he looks like the nice guy that he is in this one! Well done RP and team!

Ron himself is the best ad

The new ad is excellent! Great job!

The main reason for why we support Ron Paul is because we saw him speaking truth. So I think that only he himself can attract more people to the campaign effectively.

still a little angry but

still a little angry but muuuch better ad

Yes!!!!

Yes! This is more like it. Nobody sells Ron Paul better than Ron Paul himself.
