DELEGATES! BE AT PEPPERMILL AT 7:30AM!!!
We need ALL Ron Paul delegates to be at the Peppermill at 7:30am Sunday morning. They are trying to out-maneuver us again. We don't know what's going to happen, but we must be there. Besides, you wouldn't want to miss anything that might happen, would you? If by some miracle we do have a vote for delegates, you wouldn't want to miss administering the coup de gras to the gang that left the playground, taking their ball yesterday? LET'S DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO ELECT OUR CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATES & OUR 22 AT-LARGE DELEGATES - CHAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGE!!!!!

Get a good breakfast. If
Get a good breakfast. If the neo-cons win, we'll all be eating in soup kitchens :)
Don't let them overpower us.
Be there at 7 and get a good seat.
Sounds to me premeditated
They anticipated the possibility of a strong RP showing so the plan was to actually rent the hall til 6...with the unwritten agreement that "should it go over-just send us the tab". they saw the RP supporters and knew theyd have to go with plan B - drag their feet to run out the clock. Plan A was that the McCain people would be in good shape- and the clock wouldnt be an issue- as theyd already made arrangements to go past 6 (verbal agreement with someone- nothing in writing). So what youll see in the papers tomorrow is the 'official story that the venue was rented and paid for only til 6- and a receipt backing that up. A technicality that had the RPers not been a threat would be a non-issue and the contract would have been automatically extended to finish the job of pushing McCains people through. Im worried that it boils down to the Hotel saying "we couldnt extend their time- heres the receipt". That they would have extended the time for McCains people will be our burden to prove- theyll just say " we would have done the same to the McCain people". If you were renting that hole for your wedding reception- the story youd be telling your grandkids is "we ended up having our wedding reception at Denneys because of all days- the damned republicans chose our wedding day to have their convention- and the hotel told us it was our civic duty to allow it to proceed -that our wedding took 2nd priority- like pulling to the side of the road to let the ambulance take the street". ...unless Ron Paul was winning
Don't Overstate
If you are able to make the Peppermill by tomorrow at 8am without significant inconvenience, please do. If you are here, please show up.
HOWEVER, if you have already travelled home or if it poses inconvenience to show up, it's ok.
We only have heresay evidence that the McCainites will try to reconvene tomorrow, nothing solid.
So, if you are around, please do come by 8am. But if you're not, enjoy Sunday at home!
:)
Overstating
is better than understating. And it's definitely better to be safe than sorry! Once it's over, there's no "do-over."
And the post says 7:30am, not 8:00am.
Nice work today, BTW
bump for freedom

Maybe...
You should be there earlier than 7:30am. In fact, maybe someone should be on watch. They tried to pull some dirty tricks with the "vote for 5 delegates" --- who know what else they'll try to pull. Lots of creepy crap is pulled off in the dead of night.
keep this bumped pls this is important!!! Tommorow 7:30am
POST THIS ALL OVER THE INTERNET
LETS GET GOING

Room Booked?
Has anyone checked with Peppermill to see whether a hall has been rented there by the GOP for this purpose? For that matter, has anyone contacted Peppermill to confirm the hall was only reserved until 6pm Saturday night?
Curious -- if they do indeed rent a hall there Sunday...it pretty much blows out of the water the claim that not only did their hall reservation time expire Saturday at 6pm (which seems suspect, because they could easily extend their time in that hall; I very highly doubt another big meeting was going to be rushed into that very hall immediately after a large convention!), but particularly the claim that the GOP budget doesn't have funds to extend the meeting.
I reference this article:
...party chairwoman Sue Lowden said (...) “Unfortunately, with the rule changes implemented this morning, we did not have time to complete the process,” she said. “Our contract for the meeting space had expired, as had our budget..."
Well, if their budget for a convention has "expired", then, that would be the case regardless of when or where the convention were to continue. If they are unable to pay for more convention time...then how are they able to somehow pay for more convention time, er, at some other locale, or, er, at some other time? If they're out of funds, they're out of funds.
Or perhaps they just conveniently forgot that they have some more funds tucked away in the back of their sock drawer.
What's up with that claim? Are we to actually believe the NV GOP is so strapped for cash that they truly cannot pay for a hotel ballroom, and NO ONE in the Nevada GOP had the foresight to book the hotel past 6pm?
I've got my dander up. Does it show? ;)
I don't know
if the room was rented only until 6pm, but there sure was no problem getting a 3 hour extension, was there!
It was BS IMHO
I remember some of the materials about being a NV state delegate said that it might take more than one day. So the excuse about not enough money seems to be BS - they were thinking weeks ago that it could take longer. I (and many sitting around me today) thought we'd be there at least until very late Sat. night (or early Sunday morning).
...And since they told those of us who stayed that we could have the room another 2-3 hours, that seems to shoot down the idea that they were kicked out of the room and couldn't buy more time after 6:00 as needed.
As far as I'm concerned, the NV GOP is run by dirtbags. They tried various schemes and tricks during the day to keep us from winning, and when it appeared that we had the upper hand, they came up with a flimsy excuse and ran off.
