Sounds like damage control. Unfortunately it'll probably work. You won't see this on Drudge. Your average Joe whose not watching closely will be quick to accept a response like this. If we complain, people will just shrug and say "Look, the man admitted he made some mistakes and he apologized... what more do you want?" And there you have it, we're the unreasonable kooks that can't be satisfied.
Don't worry, you can tune into Drudge and read about how McCain frequently used his wife's jet for little cost.

Walden_Paragon said he just spoke with Beers (see Walden's post here), but the words from Beers seem to me to conflict with treatment and attitudes he displayed on the convention video. I have no reason to doubt Beers said all those things to Walden, but that doesn't mean the words are true (no reflection on Walden).
Did Sen. Beers mention anything about the hall being made available by the hotel for an additional three hours Saturday night; or, about the alleged fact that the hall was reserved by the NV GOP for today also (as reported here); and why he wouldn't take advantage of such opportunities? I have great trouble believing they couldn't cover the additional costs, particularly if they had in fact rented the hall for Sunday as well.
From my armchair quarterback position, it appears to me that Sen. Beers is being quite pleasant and welcoming new blood into the party...when he suspects his answers will quickly hit the blogosphere...

Beers has left comments on so many blogs its unbelievable. Hes also responding to thousands of emails already. wow. what a superman. At the same time Im reading reports hes with Jeff Greenspan in some backdoor deal, and another rumor that hes in the Hotel in an upper hall.
If this is BoB Beers I suggest we all line up behind him and offer him the nomination. This is a super hero not a man.

I dont know if its him or
I dont know if its him or not. Almost everything he said bothers me. He talks about audio and video people? Well wheres the official tapes? Only audio/video I heard was posted by delegates and 1 of them was told to turn their camera off.
Does anyone know if they reconvened? I havent seen any new videos or news. Just more about this from different papers.

CNN was in Reno and took video of the proceedings till it became apparent that McCain was being used by the Paulites to mop the floor. I was told that they put the camera away around 2:30, before party hack Bob Beers got orders from above to fold the tent and recess the Convention.
We have a local patriot who does a show on the local Public Access TV channel. He has the whole Convention videoed and when he is ready I will give his info and you can buy a DVD from him. I do not recommend viewing this DVD if you have a weak stomach and find political greed and corruption revolting!
More will be revealed!

I feel badly for a few people having to incur transportation costs again. Sue Lowden, NRP chair, is talking about trying to get the Cox Pavilion at Thomas & Mack donated in Las Vegas, which they did for the Democrats and should do for us. The room is big enough for what we need to do, and if she can do it, it would even out the transportation costs - Clark delegates would not have to transport again, and Washoe delegates haven't transported yet. No one will be required to pay another cent to the Republican party - which, by the way for you newbies, doesn't help get clear-thinking people elected. That shouldn't be your goal.
The convention chairman (that'd be me) didn't reappear because the convention was recessed. I am sorry if you had a few ill-informed people attempt to jump up and convince you otherwise. I later heard that the chief agitator eventually admitted to the crowd that he had jumped up there to promote his own candidacy for state assembly rather than Dr. Paul's candidacy for President, is that true?
The convention will be reconvened with the same list of state delegates who will elect a slate of national delegates, soon.
Regarding the balloting for the three seats in our rural district, I am told the ballots and work-in-process counting them are locked in the Peppermill's hotel safe, a process attested to (and literally signed off on) by a Paul advocate and a McCain advocate who were participating in the count. [Note - that was a count of three-candidate balloting and a count of 22-candidate balloting, which is what the rules call for, will take exponentially longer to get done].
Delegates made significant changes to longstanding rules during the morning sessions. Those changes converted our longstanding fast voice votes to multi-person ballot box voting, which takes a lot of time. We ran out of it... but with the recess, the nominations committee will be able to create a list of candidates for the national delegates for presentation to the body, and we will be able to legitimately express the will of the majority of state delegates, as we have already done for the rules, platform, bylaws, and national committeewoman and committeeman.

Beers needs to be removed,completely. He made it aware that there is a conflict of interest. He is obviously unable to be unbiased and he crossed the line. Criminal activity at his level is disgusting.

If the Peppermint contract doesn't say what Bob said it did or the Pepperment management tells us that it could have been extended, then sue Bob and anyone else involved for the expenses incurred by delegates, for fraud, wasting everyone's time, stealing votes, and violating Robert's Rules of Order. Bob, it seems from here, should be incarcerated.
Stealing an election is way over the line. You have just lost your next election Bob and created some blowback against McCain. If McCain people do this to elections, imagine what they will do after they get control of the government. Bob, you have inspired us to more actively campaign for Ron Paul and against Sen. McCain until we see you in St. Paul!

If this guy Bob Beers caused all these people to lose money due to his invalid/fraudulent decision, then maybe the delgates should sue him personally to recoup their expenses. Small claims court is intended for things like this...
