They know damn well that all "we the people" are anymore, is just a bunch of words. We bitch, moan, and complain until we are blue in the face, and then we return to our normal lives.
So they allow us to have our right to assemble and protest. It makes us feel like we've actually done something to make them take notice. As long as they give us an outlet to bitch through, we feel like we are in control.
Hells bells, the politicians don't care about a ding dang "thang." But this shows the rest of the US how they feel and empowers people to speak out against the prices. At least the movement for Ron Paul is growing and every thing like this helps it. That is the ONE thing Washington IS afraid of. President Paul will have his hands full, but he is up to the task. Finally he will have some power to do something about what he has been fighting for years and years.
