Dear Mr. Weber
To: renoweber@sbcglobal.net
You are a patriot for that I commend you.
Thank you and I fully support you. sadly Im not from Nevada to vote for you but Ill tell all my fiends about you,
You may not agree with Ron Paul on some issues but Im sure you both agree on this. Ron Paul taught us that "You should never compromise principle for unity. Unity is second to principle and not the other way around"
Thank you again Mr. Weber. I wish you and your family all the best. Please email me if theres anything us out of staters can help you with. Have a wonderful week

Oh thank you
for reposting this information! I truly think this man was the hero of the day and people need to know and appreciate what happened there.
Thank you Mr. Weber
We wish you all the best in your future political endeavors. We all appreciate your efforts and ability to stand up and do what is ethically and morally right. Who would have ever thought, that we would have to fight so hard for Liberty and Freedom for all.
Nevada GOP State Convention
All Ron Paul Supporters,
Thank all of you for the kind comments you have posted throughout the Web. I am certainly not worthy of some of the praise you have offered. As a clarification, it is true that I am not a Ron Paul delegate. I initially favored Fred Thompson, then Duncan Hunter. My guys bowed out early in the process, so I did not have a dog in the fight on the floor of the Nevada GOP Convention on Saturday.
Over the past 20 years I have served in numerous positions in Republican Party including County Chairman, Convention Platform Chairman, Rules Chairman, County Central Committee Member, State Central Committee member, National Platform Committee, and Rules Committee at the previous 2 National Conventions. I do not say these things to brag, but rather to show that I have a lot of experience in this game and that I have staying power. In very few instances has the Party welcomed me with open arms, yet I have earned the respect of all but a few Party regulars. For 20 years, I have always fought to keep a fair and level playing field in all levels of the Republican processes. I simply continued this process on Saturday.
Conventions ignite the passions of the participants who attend to see their views become the dominant policies of the Republican Party. I actually enjoy controversy because it breeds participation. Some of our most controversial conventions have been the best attended. But in all of those controversies I have always fought to keep the focus on the issues and policies, not the personalities. This is the arena of politics, let's not make it personal. You cannot influence someone else's opinion by yelling at them or calling them names. Bob Beers is a friend of mine even though we were political adversaries on Saturday. When this convention is over, I hope we can sit down and have a couple beers (no pun intended) and talk about what went wrong. I hope that the State Chairman sees that I am fighting for the best interests of our Party. I believe that our Party should lead with integrity because this is what true Americans are willing to follow. I know this because it has been demonstrated quite dramatically in my e-mail over the past couple of days, even by people that you would think are on the "other" side. Please remember that many McCain supporters remained in the room after the "recess" was called.
I thank many of you for volunteering at the several Party headquarters. I encourage each of you to continue participation with the Party. You all offer so many things that this Party needs to succeed in the digital, electronic future. I am truly impressed with your ability to organize and communicate. These are the things we need to take our country back. While I am not a Ron Paul delegate, as Americans we believe in all of the same things - smaller, less intrusive government at all levels; private property and gun rights; respect for life; rule of law; and most of all LIBERTY. America is deteriorating into a nightmare of socialism. I stand in awe of our founding fathers who believed that if we let the American people live free of the bounds of government tyranny, the future offered boundless opportunities. We have lived their dream . . . but with that dream comes responsibility. I did what I did on Saturday not for all of you, but because I have children and grandchildren and I want them to be blessed to live in a free America. This is my obligation to them.
I ask each of you to have patience with the system. Like the country, the ship of the Republican Party will not turn on a dime. It takes time, it takes participation, and it takes relationships. Let's demonstrate our passions on the floor. Let's argue vehemently to the ends of our breath. When the final lot is cast and we lose, let's build an irresistable wave of support for the future. If we win, let's extend a hand of friendship to a Republican we don't know. Some people in this Party who were my worst enemies have become my closest friends. Without this, we will all lose.

Hats off
for your selfless dedication to the process, Mike. You have won a bunch of new friends.
Thank You Mr Weber
I wish you success on your assembly run. Thank you for doing the right thing. Only GOP bumper stickers I see in CA are W / Bush/Cheney and Ron Paul. I sure don't get the McCain thing. Anyways, THANK YOU and GOOD LUCK!
Hello Mr. Weber, thanks for
Hello Mr. Weber, thanks for standing up for what is right. It's refreshing to see GOP leadership who are not willing to cast integrity aside and who do not work against the will of the membership.
You mentioned to "Please remember that many McCain supporters remained in the room after the "recess" was called." In regards to that I have read reports as well as seen video footage which claimed that many McCain supporters remained standing at the back of the room, not wanting to be a part of the headcount for quorum - but they were there ready to rejoin just in case quorum was re-established. Those McCain supporters appeared to be a significant reason that the convention came to a screeching halt. Here is video attesting to that: http://www.youtube.com/wa... just after 3 minutes into the video is when you see the people who are claimed to be McCain supporters at the back of the room.
Near the end of your comment you seem to hint upon party unity. I also believe that is quite important. The way I see it, though, is that unity will be very difficult to achieve with so many GOP insiders pushing McCain and standing behind him. To me, and likely many others, McCain cannot be easily trusted. I believe this is one of the many reasons so many people support and are loyal to Ron Paul - because he is true to his word and always acts with integrity. McCain has done too many unethical things for him to gain my support. Besides, why should our Republican Party rally behind someone who wanted to run against us back in 2004 as John Kerry's VP? (reference: http://www.usatoday.com/n... )
Thanks again Mike... you're
Thanks again Mike... you're a true patriot. Support who you will, as that is your personal choice and not mine to say, but continue to fight the good fight for what is right.
If McCain and other leaders in the party had a character and integrity similar to yours, I think the current battle within the party would be a non-issue. Many people believe in Ron Paul because he says what he means and means what he says... not what people want to hear. I get the same impression of you in what little exposure I have had. I for one can put aside differences in philosophy in the short term and would be willing to elect leaders that I disagreed with if they were principled individuals that were interested in fair, open, and truthful leadership. I feel many of my friends would as well.
The GOP has an incredible opportunity this year to recognize the shortcomings of the party platform that have developed recently. Passion breeds an exponential number of supporters, proven not only by Ron Paul but by the recent surge in Obama's polling numbers. The difference is that the GOP has the opportunity to make the passion breed long term support because ours is one of substance and not words. Unfortunately it seems as if the GOP is relying on apathy, which does not seem to breed further support, only decay which puts this country at great risk.
Mike, you are in a wonderful position to help the thinkers of this nation unite against socialism. Please work with your friends to provide a platform of debate and discussion. Without these the party will decay.
God Bless you Mike for
assisting the PEOPLE of Nevada in a continuance of the Convention. I am in agreemnt with the Republican Party needs to have smaller less intrusive governnment into our lives. Please consider taking a look at www.ronpaul2008.com and look at www.senate.gov and you can see all the candidates voting records.
Remember voting the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. I think you know what I mean.
You may disagree with Ron Paul on the war because i know a little about duncan Hunter and all the similiarities to Ron Paul. I also am aware of the border security issues and the similirities with Fred Thompson and Ron Paul. I strictly look at voting record. I hope you will consider doing the same as I can see you are an intelligent man and from my hopes and the hopes of what it seems like Nevadans, you are a man of integrity as well.
Welcome.
I hope the DP as well as other RP supporters can enlighten you as to how horrible of a candidate McCain truly is.
We can all say what needs to be done, but who here led by example today?
Thnk you Mr Weber

I am sorry that you feel the
I am sorry that you feel the Republicans who support Ron's presidency were unruly or jumped to conclusions, but ALL across the country it seems like we are NOT welcome at many Republican Conventions. Initially, I (a Republican for 40 years) and many others were happy to rejuvenate an older party who stood by our values of small govt., balanced budgets and no entangling alliances with other and not so free countries. Now we are finding out that the party as a whole does not hold such values dear anymore. John McCain is the lesser of two (er..3 ) evils? I am sorry Mr. Weber, but I can not agree. First, he receives a disability pension for being 100% disabled. We need this man for President? Not even Congress, in my opinion. He sides with Democrats on almost every issue, and has committed illegal campaign offenses, as has Hillary. Obama and Hillary are both the top 2 on judicialwatche's 10 most corrupt politician list and all three of those "evils" are members of the CFR who (one can clearly see just by going to their website cfr.org) has a global agenda and is against US sovereignty, something our forefathers fought so hard for. This country is going in the completely wrong direction and NEEDS to come to a difficult screeching halt. I, for one, find nothing less evil about any of these three candidates. Nothing. But why should I even look. Because the Republican Party did get one terrific candidate who could accomplish the beginning of getting our country turned around. I do not agree with all of his stances, but the most important ones I am in complete accord with. Especially his humility before God, and his constant patience and perseverance, and Constitutional values. .
I applaud you for the same things and am hoping there are more like you to continue the original Republican values and fairness. However, if this GOP travesty continues across this nation I will move to the Constitution Party and fight as hard as I can to make it the largest political party this nation has ever seen.
