getting the Audio version too (from a brick and mortar shop)
it is really well read .... great for car trips -
read it - then listen or vice versa or mix it up....

Give this book one to two weeks to be read and absorbed
and you will see a new respect for Dr. P. This will be followed by an upsurge from the grassroots and then the talking heads will start saying how how great he is and of course they have been for him all along!
If you loan the book instead of give...
If you loan the book instead of give, be sure to ask how long they think it will take them to read it, and plan to check back with them a week later. That way they have an incentive to read it and not just put it on a shelf.
Whether giving or loaning, bookmark the chapter you think they will most appreciate, with a note saying why you think they'll find it interesting. This is a way to get them into the book and hooked.

Ron Paul's name is not on the list
of author names in my local library. Now, while I think I have an idea of why this is so, I am not sure what to do about it. I hear that even if I donate a copy of the book to them , they will not put it on the shelves. I cannot afford to buy the book and give it to them only to not have the public given a chance at reading it. Any thoughts?

One of the main reasons this country has drifted so far from the
constitution is a lack of understanding of American History by the public at large. History teachers tend to be associated with community leaders. Plus, the book or audio could be used for subject material in the classroom and would probably generate a lot of interest.
Make sure you review it!
And buy a friend and your family some copies. Let's Make It #1
Manifesto
I had an idea this morning and am going to follow up with it this afternoon.
Maybe you'd like to join in. I am writing to my friends and family who are maybe sitting on the fence...not sure about Dr. Paul's message or, perhaps, still uninformed. You know, the ones who have shown a passive interest, but haven't gotten involved yet? I am emailing all of them and asking if they would like a copy of the book. If the answer is "yes," I will have a copy sent to them and ask for two things in return (ain't nothing free!)...that they read it and either send it on to another friend, keep it for their permanent library, or return it to me so that I can pass it on to another. I look at this as a way to get this important book into the hands of those who might not purchase it for themselves and also a bump in purchases of the book. I'm imagining it is going to "cost" me about 10 to 15 Manifestos...a great investment in my opinion.

Interesting timing... I had decided to do the same thing yesterday and ordered a quantity of copies from Amazon last night. I will have them tomorrow or Thursday, and already have two firm arrangements with friends in MT and WV for a copy.
Now if I could just find some time to finish reading mine. :o)
While describing what happened at the convention to various co-workers and friends, I'm finding that there seem to be quite a few who liked RP's message but didn't think he had a chance, and then believed the constant media propaganda that he was no longer in the race. Now they are finding renewed interest when I tell them how the delegate process really works, and what has been happening in NV and other states.

that is the beauty and power of this book, it can overcome those hurdles. I suggest the audio version, it is very well done and makes it easy for people to listen to while they drive!

Depending on the person, you might consider the audio version. It is well done and now days a lot of people it's easier to listen to a book than to read!

Audio book
Glad for your review. I always listen to audio books and have a subscription to Audible.com. I'm wondering if they will offer it. Just in case they don't, I ordered a copy from Amazon and have already received it.
Audio books seemed to be a little easier than books
for the uninitiated.
I don't have time to read
and am too tired at night, so I've subscribed to Audible.com for the past few years. I get 24 books a year. I listen when I'm working out on the treadmill. Also, no road rage for me - I look forward to traffic jams and red lights. It gives me more time to listen.
