The Republican Party Leadership's and their followers' greatest fear is losing, obviously, by their scrapping for the ball and their technical foul.
How did Coach John Wooden, College Basketball’s “Winningest” Coach earn so many National Titles?
He used these principles: Truth, Highest Integrity, Utmost Unity. He didn't let his boys respond to pressure in any other way.
“Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals,” was another of his mottos. And he ran the basics over and over again. And they won.
We want to win. "They" want to win. Let’s win by winning them over. It shouldn't be that difficult, really. 10% of the Nevada delegates were converted after Ron Paul's speech. So, we are SURE it is possible.
Goal: Going into the National Convention UNIFIED behind Ron Paul. How must we treat them to do this? What basic principles MUST we run over and over again?
TRUTH, HIGHEST INTEGRITY, UTMOST UNITY!!!
Since the Republican party also fears lack of unity. LET'S GIVE THEM UNITY!!! And everything else Ron Paul stands for!
Here are some ideas of what we have and need. Please add your own.
TRUTH:
Backbone,
Law,
Constitution,
The Message,
Unwavering in strength,
Abiding in the Golden Rule,
Believing all created equal,
Bearing with others faults,
Having faith in Truth and acting with humble confidence in its power,
Speaking in love
HIGHEST INTEGRITY
Backbone,
Accountable to standard of excellence,
Abiding by the laws/by-laws.
Behaving as one professes belief,
Not being hypocritical,
Humble, not self-righteous or arrogant,
High character building brotherly love
UTMOST UNITY
Backbone,
Everyone important, included
Caring,
Family-like with RP supporters and those we want to join us,
Welcoming to the all delegates,
Lawful,
Respectful of everyone’s rights
Validating everyone's vote/voice,
Respectful of every member of the group,
Stronger than McC-supporters’ unity
If we do these things now, we will win over the delegates. We will win over the party leaders. We will set the foundation for substantial changes at all levels of government, from our homes to the White House.
We win. "They" win. Republicans win. And, Ron Paul will be history's next Republican, next American, hero.

I agree with you on all points. Many of us truly want to see the Republican Party return back to their principles. Hey, look what Ron Paul has done. He has brought so much diversity to the party. People from all walks of life. Libertarians, Democrats, new voters, and apathetic Americans have joined him for the fight. Onward patriots!

Even if you did not get elected a delegate: show up and be nice.
I'm a Libertarian Party delegate so I can't believe I'm saying this. But seriously, if you are a Republican, you can have an influence locally that the delegates will take with them to the convention and beyond.
I have a friend in the GOP who is complaining because some of the new members are not showing up. Freedom brings us together, and now's the time to start the preparation for the convention in September, or your state convention if it still lies ahead.
If you're a Democrat, push for freedom, too.

It would bring unity to draw the revolution on. Otherwise, the Libertarian party will just split the votes of similarly minded people.
Also, if the LP gets a few Electoral college delegates- winning a state or two- what would they do?
could they go with the the R (or D) party in trade for a VP slot?
An alternate plan would be to have the LP and CP make a deal- if they get enough delegates to win together, they choose one candidate for Pres, and one for VP. Is this possible?

As in, I doubt it.
The LP getting any electoral votes is a long-term dream, The system is rigged so that won't happen anytime soon. If any third party wins the electoral votes in any state not named Nebraska or Maine, then lock and load and go buy a Powerball ticket, because the space aliens are coming next, the Cubs have won the World Series, and the U.S. actually apologizes for its foreign policy debacles.
The idea of the LP or CP splitting or taking votes from the GOP is fallacious. Those votes are not entitlements; they have to be earned. If anything all the time and effort on the Paul campaign should clearly illustrate that.
Baldwin will not be the LP nominee. The LP and CP are too far apart on SOCAS for any unity there to happen.
The LP will NEVER sell out to the major parties, ever. There is fear of that happening right now with Barr, which is why Denver in two weeks will be interesting. (BTW, for all of you, the LP convention is open to the public for a fee, but you can't vote on business issues.)

Tell them to look at the records, of the liberal McAmnesty aka McWarprofiteer, aka McFeingold aka McKennedy aka McKeatonfive aka McLiberman aka McLobbyist and the worst of all McAnti-POW/MIA
Ask them if they really believe how he has manuvered his stance to be more conservative? Ask them if they ever totally changed their mindset on almost issue they ever made in a matter of days? Tell them how George Bush said the same political smack and look where our country stands today. They will get the same or probably worse, because McCain has a short fuse, as his fellow Republican comrades have stated, and worry he is too unstable to be president.

I've found the best way to handle regular republicans is to be " in your face nice." I especially like to do this to the most obstinate and ornery persons. They know I'm a Ron Paul supporter. ( I have probably called nearly every registered Republican in my area.) It definitely puts them off guard that I am happy to see them.
Also like you say, TRUTH is the trump card. We all win.
