Fishy AOL poll.

I did a little digging on this aol poll, and found something very strange. For each state there are about 200 possibilities for each poll. 100%/0% 99%/1% so on and so forth.

How come
Alaska 51/49 -Mc
Colorado 51/49-Mc
D.C. 51/49-Mc
Hawaii 58/48-Mc
Idaho 51/49-Mc
Kansas 54/46-Mc
Maine 51/49-Mc
Montana 50/50
Nebraska 51/49-Mc
Nevada 51/49-Mc
New Hamp 53/47-Mc
North Dakota 51/49-Mc
Rhoda Island 52/48-Mc
South Dakota 54/46-Mc
Utah 51/49-Mc
Vermont 52/48-Mc
Wyoming 51/49-Mc

The probability of having so many split decisions is EXTREMELY unlikely! I could do the mathematics behind it but its just too obvious! This is good two fold, if their lying then they are trying to silence Ron Paul because he is the true winner, or if this pole happens to be true then we are just right behind McCaine in a HUGE amount of states. Either way, we win. But its still very very suspect.

AOL POLL (OTHERS?) CAN BE SCAMMED - REPOST?

Dup - why do posts show up, disappear, and reappear??

In laymen's terms,

I did address this topic a couple days ago. A proclaimed RP supporter bragged about how they manipulated this online poll. I stated my sadness with respect to the afformentioned manipulation. I assumed that maybe if you flushed your corresponding AOL cookie you may be able to spam it, then again, I thought you may not be able too. I thought their site might might link you with an ISP address though many are now static. From an integrity standpoint I did not try myself. I just said I was sorry it was spammed and some said polls suck, bla, bla, bla. I replied with a question, asking if it was possible to spam that (phone) poll after the SC debate when Ron got, what 33 - 35%. The thread drifted off and I never followed up on it. It was titled something like "lets do this or lets hit this poll?" I will continue to give my "individual" opinion (just one) if they want to be dishonest thats their choice. I'm still curious how the phone poll can be altered??? "Onward" >>>>

AOL POLL (OTHERS?) CAN BE SCAMMED

Comment: I tried this previously and I was able to vote several times. It simply asks what state in a pulldown, so the state allocations below may be random selections by people voting numerous times.

Maybe those states have "equal number of cheaters"-

Is this also why RP's poll numbers were much higher than votes? Or just that voters in online polls "weren't wasting their vote" by showing their true preference?

FROM MID-JANUARY:

I believe I have seen the anonymouse.org site before, but never knew how to try it.

HOWEVER, if you use the second link below over and over (or simply refresh the URL), you *can* vote over and over in the AOL presidential poll.

If it works for all online polls (like debate winner polls), ONLINE POLLS ARE TOTALLY WORTHLESS, as our entire caucus/primary election process appears to be.

Is this the reason for the "AOL technical problems" about the time below? Did they add "captcha" human input verification at that time to stop automated voting applications?

Shouldn't they be able to block input from the anonymous.org IP addresses?

McCain supporters encourage cheating in AOL poll
By paulitics | January 14, 2008

A semi-official grassroots group for McCain in my state (IL) sent out an email to supporters providing a method of bumping numbers in the AOL poll. I subscribe to every newsletter I can to police this kind of disgraceful business. Here is the relevant excerpt from the email:

It is very important for McCain to stay at the top of the polls since the coming days are crucial. AOL is running a “straw poll” that is getting a lot of attention. Follow this link to cast your support for McCain:

If you feel your vote is not properly counted (or you need to to vote again for any reason or error) you can prevent the lock out by visiting the site through this “proxy link”:

Let’s keep Mac at the top every week!

"if this pole happens to be

"if this pole happens to be true then we are just right behind McCaine in a HUGE amount of states."

Someone appears to go and smack down the RP states, so that the color changes. Maybe not an AOL conspiracy here.

Reminder that these polls are fun as a diversion, and we to continue to attract new people to the message. Not the same people on the Internet - new people outside at shopping malls, restaurants, and books stores. Spread the message of liberty and freedom so other people can awake.

They've carved us in half in this country.

First...one minor correction...there are 100 possibilities of the vote distribution for 2 candidates, not 200...but that's beside the point.

They (DNC and RNC) have purposefully carved this country nearly in half in my lifetime. They have done this by moving their party viewpoints and moving issues in and out of obscurity.

Take abortion for instance...it's a contentuous topic, sure to divide many people. Can you believe that abortion continues to be a national election issue for more than 30 years? Since Roe vs. Wade, we've had 2 Dems in office and 5 GOPs in the White House, congress has changed hands several times, and nothing has ever been decided.

When it looked like Kerry would win in a landslide in 2004, due to war and economy...the GOP leveled the playing field by tapping into homophobic attitudes and starting talking about a gay marriage ban in the constitution. It was never going to happen...but it worked as an issue.

People in this country are so divided by politics that they can't identify which issues are important to them. Sure...you could vote for a 3rd party...but with such issues at stake, you can't waste your vote.

That's our choice America...welfare or warfare (we always get both). Despite how many American's are concerned with illegal immigration, despite how much of a campaign issue it is...nothing will happen anytime soon...count on it.

These are known as wedge issues...the 2 parties couldn't care less which of them is in the majority...as long as it's one of them. There is a level of collusion here which borders on treasonous but most Americans couldn't care less.

Not fishy just spammers

It would be fishy if it was a real poll and there were so many split decisions. This however is the result of spammers repeatly voting, clearing their cookies and voting again until they turn a State the way they want it .
Then they move on to another state and start again.Hence all the votes end up close.

There was someone on DailyPaul or Ron Paul Forums about 2 days ago who said they had spent several days doing this.

Holy shit the poll looks completely different then when I reported on it earlier. This is utterly obscene, the irony of the situation is that the majority of American people will never find out about this because the media will never report it, and if they do, it wont get large coverage, but if they did boy would certain people have hell to pay.

http://news.aol.com/polit...

double post.

while i was looking i stumbled across this....of course the poll

Ron Paul was at 44% according to rgj.com, but this is what they said happened...Remember this?

This may clear some things up, but

there is a lot more where this came from...

http://youtube.com/watch?...

please...

quote your sources.... we can't very well comment on something we can't check out.....

K?

Honesty and (insert old media name here) aren't even...

...in the same ballpark.

If it's (insert old media name here) then you can safely assume they're omitting certain facts (at best) or simply outright lying.

They're a joke, have no credibility, and we need to start treating them as such.
