the next gen internet isn't it right now. I' more interested in making sure Ron Paul gets something resembling a fair shake in the state conventions, contributing to the buzz about his ongoing candidacy, and educating my friends about the Federal reserve. Ya know - most bank employees don't even realize it's not part of the government. So that's where I put my time. When they launch this thing, it'll take a while to roll out, debug, and get people to sign up for. You can certainly refuse to sign up.
On a little bitty side note about editing--this is the second time I have seen "in other words" expressed as "another words." Editing is more my speed!!
Interesting what is mentioned about the supercollider experiment that they are hoping to replicate conditions of the big bang for research. Supposedly that experiment will create a mini black hole for a very short period of time (seconds?) which is why some say it could have dire consequences for the world.
Regarding the Internet2, I thought that network was slated to be for academic/scientific usage between universities that shared incredible amounts of scientific data... I'm not sure there will be a place for the commercial net on Internet2...
Of all the things to get worked up about ...
