Final straw - official denial

http://news.yahoo.com/s/a...

"I'm not aware of any ramping up or revision of war plans for Iran," Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell told reporters traveling with US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who is winding up a two day visit here.

"Reports suggesting that are not consistent with what I know to be going on at the Pentagon," Morrell added.

It makes me sick to think of

It makes me sick to think of us attacking Iran, a country who has not attacked anyone in over 1700 years. However if we do attack them, I think more people will realize that Ron Paul is who we need to be our president. The three remaining status quo candidates have all said, at one time or another, that they too would attack Iran. Very few Americans want more war and those that do are either sorely misinformed or highly corrupt.

I thought

that we were going to hit Iran BEFORE they started selling their oil in other than dollars. If they are already doing it, then I would think we missed our chance. The Fed's are taking our dollar down anyway, so I don't know what difference it makes to our government. The whole idea is to destroy the dollar. Iran is just helping the situation.

I'm not sure the FED is

I'm not sure the FED is deliberately destroying the dollar... I mean, obviously the rate cuts hurt the dollars, but l believe what Ron Paul says, in that the FED is between a rock and a hard place. It doesn't matter what they do, the forces of the market are against them.

He also says all paper currencies eventually end, and it's true... they do.

Truthfully, I think these wars of aggression in the Middle East are being carried out because the bankers are desperate. They know their power and control is looming and they hope to keep it for as long as they can... That's why they want the patriot act etc... All of these terrible things are happening because they want to maintain their power.

Let's just hope that when the s%$t hits the fan, we speak loudly and lead the charge to rebuild our constitutional government and monetary system and throw those tyrannical bastards out of power!

Are number 1 priority is to spread the Freedom message far and wide. Buy as many Ron Paul "Manifesto" books and give them to people to read.

Add this to the list... new report from the State Department...

It seems Iran is a for sure war.... and Venezuela is back on the list.

This is all very troubling.

This is all very troubling. We've been discussing for months the ramifications of other nations beginning to dump the US dollar. Not only is India involved in the proposed pipeline, Pakistan is as well and China wants to be involved also. The 2nd carrier is definitely a "reminder" alright, a reminder that the US is prepared for if/when the SHTF.

Didn't the US invade Iraq maybe 2 years after they began selling oil in Euros?

What is more troubling...

Is that if China gets into the picture, with all their new war tech, they could be able to remind the world how irrelavent having a 2nd carrier present can be.

Iran is evil. They won't

Iran is evil. They won't take our dollar, they are involved in Iraq and they after all did storm our embassy.

This is how the average American thinks.

They don't know or don't care to that we overthrew Iran's democratic government in 1953, installed a dictator that killed and tortured for 25 years to lead up to a counter-revolution that was the taking of our embassy.

They also don't realize that if China were in Mexico or Canada, we might care and send forces there too.

But after all, the US did declare the Iranian Army as terrorists. They must be bad!

And do you think

people will notice? Or will they be too busy wondering who is going to be the next person knocked off on American Idol? I find that troubling.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6

"The writing is on the wall"....this is a dead-on

correct analysis of the three articles posted. #1 is representative of Iran's continuing efforts (not just Iran....other OPEC producers are following) to distance themselves from exposure to the wealth-robbing characteristics of holding U.S. dollars while the Fed is busy debauching their value. (Look at what the Fed did just today.....more cheapened money) The only candidate you will hear discussing this economic issue is Dr. Paul. None of the other so-called "major" candidates will dare touch this issue. The Saudis have, thus far, held to their 70s agreement regarding the dollar and oil sales, but they have their own best interests to protect and, eventually, they'll have to face the music and abandon the dollar. It seems but a matter of time. # 3, to me, is just an example of diplomacy at gun point. Surely by now it must be clear, for all who bother to see, that the neocons will not stop on their own; they must be stopped. Take the above mentioned articles and then try to imagine John McCain at-the-switch. Hitchcock could not have written a scarier screenplay.

The White House comment line 202-456-1111.
Tell them you do NOT believe Iran is a threat, that you KNOW it is about the oil bourse, and that your friends and neighbors do NOT believe you are a terrorist because yo udo not support the war.
I just got a receptionist who QUIZZED me about the bourse. I really think I recognize her as the same person who has been giving me the "whatever" attitude for months. Today, I got a "how do you spell that" and "where can I learn more about that?" from here.
That would be the receptionist at the WHITE HOUSE COMMENT LINE!
hehehe

gates says

it's to serve as a reminder . . . ha lmao on that one.

We issued sanctions against Iran in March because they are supplying weapons to (whatever they are called) used against us (we think) oh sure they are. They (Iran) has a vested interest in seeing Iraq emerge with a democracy Iranian friendly, we want Iraq to emerge "friendly" to us. It's a bloody tug-of-war. So with the sanctions, we ask (in our own way) that all other countries follow suit - so far many are. Other countries are limiting their business with Iran. What else is Iran going to do, why should they keep taking our worthles dollar.

This will be spun to be all their fault! I read somewhere that gas will be $10.00 a gallon by 2010, this will be an easy goal when we have to pay in euro and yen.

The War Drum's A Beating

This is a shot over the bow of American hegemony and who can blame Iran. We are heading for more war sooner rather than later.
