If you haven't heard yet, Iran has completely stopped using U.S. dollars for exchange of their oil. There are a couple other posts here already which I recommend reading, but there don't seem to be that many comments. This is HUGE news and should be the topic of all conversations here. I am completely convinced we went into Iraq for the exact same reason, and this is going to have MAJOR consequences. Six months ago I knew nothing about the fact the dollar's survival was based on oil transactions (until I saw a link to an article from the Daily Paul). After being convinced that this was the case, it opened my eyes to all sorts of things going on in the world. It was apparant to me that if Iran did drop the dollar it would be the start of something historic like we have never seen before - Including severe depression, wars, and who the hell knows what else.
If you haven't researched this, then you probably think I'm nuts. If you have, you may agree.

Exactly, They do not want the general public to know what is going on. Once you figure this out, it leads to a whole new skepticism of our government and how nasty some of their doings are.

As is said here earlier, Iraq did the same and it was the red flag for the Bush administration to go in. For Iran following through on their plans to go for the Euros is pulling the plug on the dollar.

Iran is quite different from Iraq
The neocons said Iraq would be a pushover. Iran has a much more formidable military and very powerful allies (Russia and China). To launch a military attack against Iran would be insane. I'm as prepared as I can be, for just about anything except leaving the country. This is the last place on earth for me.

I thought war was to keep them from doing it. They did it already. Iraq was not allowed the chance to do it, right?
Secondly, The Feds and our gov are all about destroying the dollar, so Iran is now just helping them. So why is it going to make a huge difference.
Although, of course, I do still think we will go to war with Iran--just on principle of making money for the elites. The elites are not vested only in the dollar. Obviously supply of oil here in US is not a problem for the people who run our gov because if it was, we would drill and refine.
So we are taking down our country and middle class and I think we have to keep our soldiers tied up so they won't be available in this country for "any reason." Then all the foreign soldiers who will take instruction from the UN are here to do whatever needs to be done in US.
So where are my thoughts wrong?

Info I have read stated that Iraq had started trading a portion of their oil in non-dollar denominations prior to us invading the country. One of the first things the US did after we invaded the country was to make sure all oil was traded inn dollars.
This scenario is not what the Fed and the government want. The want to control every aspect of the dollar. Iran dumping the dollar will make them lose control.

To tell you the truth, I don't know if there is anything we can do. I don't think this is something that's going to stew for a few years. I think there will be some major action taken within weeks or months. The only thing we can probably do is to try to inform as many people as possible about why the U.S. is going to do what they are going to do (and getting them to believe it is no easy task unless they are already somewhat informed and somewhat skeptical about our government). The more informed people, the better.

Some people need to be knocked on their asses
before they will even stop to think. The sudden end of dollar hegemony may be just what they need to wake up. I'm sure that the neocons planned to pull the plug on the dollar at some point after the election. This may be a very good thing for the revolution. If the "mother of all crises", as Paul Volcker referred to it a couple of weeks ago, occurs during the next few months, we could end up with martial law and/or RP in the White House.
