Sickening news, this is the ultimate
violation of a human`s privacy!
They are already injecting newborns
with tracking chips, I suspect..

Passing the House of Representatives on a voice vote, S. 1858 has been sent to President Bush for signature. The Newborn Genetic Screening bill was passed by the Senate last December. The bill violates the U.S. Constitution and the Nuremberg Code, writes Twila Brase, president of the Citizen’s Council on Health Care (CCHC). “The DNA taken at birth from every citizen is essentially owned by the government, and every citizen becomes a potential subject of government-sponsored genetic research,” she states. “It does not require consent and there are no requirements to inform parents about the warehousing of their child’s DNA for the purpose of genetic research. Already, in Minnesota, the state health department reports that 42,210 children of the 780,000 whose DNA is housed in the Minnesota ‘DNA warehouse’ have been subjected to genetic research without their parents’ knowledge or consent.”
The federal government lacks the Constitutional authority as well as the competence to develop a newborn screening program, states Rep. Ron Paul, M.D. (R-TX). He states that all hospitals will probably scrap their own newborn testing program and adopt the federal model, whatever its flaws, to avoid the loss of federal funding.
“Drafters of the legislation made no effort to ensure that these newborn screening programs do not violate the privacy rights of parents and children,” Dr. Paul noted.
Ms. Brase has called on President Bush to veto the bill.

They did it on a Voice
They did it on a Voice vote....so we have no way of checking who voted how or do we?
I have checked around a little but can't seem to
discover a breakdown of who voted for and who voted against.
However, looking at the comment made by Dr. Paul I dare say that his voice was a NO
At home births
with a certified midwife and EMT's on hand prevent your baby's DNA from entering the warehouse. Check into the Bradley method of delivery (no drugs, natural birthing method, learn how to work with your body instead of against it). I did it with my pregnancy.
I did Bradley, too
And I recommend it. My first was a hospital birth and there were complications. If I hadn't lied about when my water broke they would have given me a Ceasarian ( a nice euphemism for a fetalectomy).
My second was a home birth and was beautiful. No kidding. The midwife wanted to use it as her teaching video as an example of a text book perfect birth. Within two hours I was on my feet and I remember telling my husband "I feel like I could do cartwheels". Plus, my other child, who was only 1 1/2 at the time, stayed downstairs playing with her best friend and when the baby came she was able to see and play with her new sister right away. Bradley home birth definately worked for us.
Great so now instead of fighting this on the state
level it is now the Federally mandated. :o(
How much more are the American people going to take before they say enough !!!!!!!!!!!
Unacceptable
This goes beyond anything we have yet encountered. This is the seizing of biological material by the government, with no crime commited. This is illegal, unethical, and unacceptable. What are the alternatives to submitting this information? Can a baby be delivered outside the scope of this? I cannot submit my child to this and live with myself, what can be done?
I suspect it will be like they already do in Nebraska
Here in Nebraska if you have a home birth and do not bring your baby in for the newborn screening within a certain amount of time...social services will show up at your door with the Sheriff's department and literally take your child out of your home. They have done it and been challenged in court and the state won.
I should have known
they would have some law like that in place. The black creepy tentacles of government continue to grow and choke us all. Is there anything NOT being interefered with? I am SO SICK OF IT.
Crazy part is the sheeple won't believe it !
And don't even know about the newborn screening program.
When I tell people here in Nebraska they don't even believe me because it sounds so outlandish..even though it has been in our news several times over the past few years.
