Actually, I think RonPaul.com has potential. Basically, it appears to be an attempt at a more friendly DailyPaul where there is more moderation and more static content. While DailyPaul is focused more on conversation and current events, RonPaul.com appears to be geared more toward the casual visitor who simply wants to see filtered content related to Ron Paul.
I think a site like RonPaul.com is actually long overdue. Assuming that the moderators/editors are fair, it can serve as a great place to promote the best of the best in the Ron Paul grassroots campaign.
I don't see why this new site is a better alternative for ronpaul2008.com. I think it is worse!
I say they do this to get affiliate-profit for selling books via Amazon. If I was Ron Paul (oh lord, what a hypothetical blasphemy), I would probably claim the domain name.
We don’t accept any donations nor will we plaster this site with ads to get you to click on them. We will however promote any and all valuable products, candidates and efforts that further the Revolution, such as Ron Paul’s books, Ron Paul-approved candidates, Revolution marches and money bombs.
The site should have forewarned me, that I would need a P/W & U/N. I will proceed with [EXTREME CAUTION]!! and not enter what ever U/N or P/W its looking for. It was kinda fun though :-)
Yup, I'm in. It is just another grass roots site I believe? When I say "Just" don't get me wrong, its at first glance attractive and new and like press the more the better. Interesting and fun debut :-P "Onward"
why am i getting this message when i post something?

This site often lags and does not refresh properly. If you post a reply, it will also replicate your post in direct proportion to the number of times you hit the post comment button. I believe its a slow server issue???
This looks very suspicious to me. Probably a phishing attempt. Please be very cautious about giving out your Email or clicking on links to unknown websites.
I know I'm prolly grasping here but I can't help but wonder if maybe this has something to do with letushope's post yesterday about having an idea and needing a secure/confidential source in which to present it......
Any other domain names for Ron Paul?
Ron Paul a few weeks ago basically endorsed RonPaul.com , when asked where they can find info he said RonPaul.com - FYI
I wouldn't be surprised if some individual or company owns ronpaul.com and is just launching a new news or community site at that domain. It was probably pointed to the official campaign website just to pick up a bunch of links that should have been going to ronpaul2008.com
I believe ronpaul.com was sold on ebay back in January for $25k or so...
I received the same email. It looks like just a simple confirmation message and probably includes the IP so that we (or they) can verify it was us who signed up and not someone else who put our address on their list.
The first of May has traditionally been an international communist holiday for decades. This year, we experience a peculiar nexus, as the first Thursday of May has also been declared "National Prayer Day." For an unrepentant vexillomaniac such as myself, it presents a perfect opportunity to show my colors.
For the last few days I had the Confederate Cross out, but today I fly my flag of the Soviet Union, well scorned throughout the world as a "godless commie banner."

A vexillomaniac, you say? So...you love flowers?
(From Dictionary.com -- definition of "vexil" -- Botany: the large upper petal of a papilionaceous flower.)
This would make sense, since the 1st of May, May Day, is also traditionally a day of wrapping up nosegays in dainty doilies and depositing them anonymously at people's doors...
...or might your term be born of the less frivolous "military standard or flag carried by ancient Roman troops; or a group of men serving under such a standard" definition?...
The New Site

What you'll think? Am I too pessimistic?
FWIW
Found this in the "grassroots" link on the site:
* RonPaul.com is a non-profit effort.
We don’t accept any donations nor will we plaster this site with ads to get you to click on them. We will however promote any and all valuable products, candidates and efforts that further the Revolution, such as Ron Paul’s books, Ron Paul-approved candidates, Revolution marches and money bombs.
New Site is up now
not an official campaign site but a new grassroots site.
From a transparency perspective.
The site should have forewarned me, that I would need a P/W & U/N. I will proceed with [EXTREME CAUTION]!! and not enter what ever U/N or P/W its looking for. It was kinda fun though :-)

It's just an acknowledgment
and proof that you signed up, as opposed to someone else at some other IP address who might have put in your address
Mei Dei
roughly translates to "My god."

The holiday of Beltaine on May 1st
is very important in Druidism/Paganism/Wicca/Witchcraft.
This is also the day the Illuminati was founded in 1776.
Well, May Day is also about flowers...

Speculation
Well, today's my birthday...perhaps RP's going to wish me a happy birthday live on the net, and direct everyone in a group sing-along.
Think that's it?
Awwww
Happy Birthday to ya!!! Make a wish for a Ron Paul Presidency & we will all hope WITH you that it comes true!!!
PS.. I didn't sign up for this email as I have no idea who or what it's about. But noon has come on gone in 2 of our time zones so far.
