Hello everyone,
We recently launched www.revolutionbroadcastin... our newest news and talk radio source that is providing true news and content to the american people and people in other countries.
Many stated when we asked if people would help fund and support this network they said YES get it up and we will donate and keep it up and running.
We have had a total of 5 donors for a grand total of $110 and we thank those people for their support.
Now we need the help from the rest of you. To run the server alone costs $500 a month and does not include the call in number for the broadcast that is used to contact our special guests.
Every host works for FREE to help educate the American people on the truth and I can not in good conscience have the hosts donate their time and then also pay for the network as well.
We have broadcast the live stream from Idaho College and had a reporter there to cover the Dr. Paul rally where he spoke to a standing room only crowd and allowed people that could not be there listen to a fantastic speech from Dr. Paul.
We have had Marcy Brooks taking calls and questions LIVE, Marcy was the Juror on Aaron Russo's Freedom To Facism and we have G. Edward Griffin scheduled as well among many others.
Many of us are working very hard to help get the message and the truth out to the masses but if we can not even obtain the very basic funds to continue to broadcast we will no longer be able to continue.
I am asking all of you to please help us now so that we can stay up and running, Please come to our site and click the chip in and help us reach our goal of $500 by friday.
Please everyone we need your help, even $5 will make a difference.

... his link doesn't work because it's not fully typed out at all. It's not really useful to post that sort of speculation about the guy's account when there's no real basis for it. I doubt PayPal would do much without actual evidence of what happened, and none of us had logs rolling that I know of, so it's just part of the tangled web of the past.
I do find plenty wrong and ironic with this though. Some of the people now working with Dr. Steve & Co were dismayed a month or so ago with the idea that it might cost $200~ish/mo to run a full internet radio station. This would have included streams, archival, website, call-in line, chatroom, etc... all run on private machines in order to avoid some of the third party agreements that one must sometimes abide by when using a service. Of course it can be done even cheaper than that (lower capacity, though, and some features lost). Now those same people are involved in a venture where $500/mo is just for a server.
When someone had the chip-in for a company going to their personal bank account temporarily in another venture, because it had been previously going to another person's personal bank account (stupid on both fronts), the outcry was ridiculous. Smears and accusations of embezzlement were all over the place. Apparently great wealth was to be had in stealing... a few hundred dollars. Here, it is under someone's personal control and no one's saying a peep. Again, some of the same people who were so mortified before, have now compromised their values to cleave to the new project.
And when Dr. Steve was proclaiming something along the lines of the promise that technical difficulties would not plague his station the way that it plagued OTHER stations, I wonder if he foresaw the fact that he can't control such things. That sometimes, seriously, things happen you cannot fix magically. A server goes down. DNS doesn't work. Your call drops. Your feed isn't working right. Your levels are off (which I've noticed a lot of). The event doesn't unfold in a way conducive to the medium.
I guess my point is there is plenty wrong with this picture (and yes that's for each individual to decide) without throwing in "may have been shut down" ideas. He hasn't been shut down, the site's still up, and they're still streaming (sometimes... I guess no loops on their station though).
I am sure my presentation of the facts will receive extensive "pointing in the right direction" shortly, but I'm happy and I've said my peace. I won't even say another word unless I see something untrue pop up about myself or the project(s) I've worked so hard on :)

Not that it would matter.. if you judge someone by the length of time that they are on a forum, you're plain stupid. Donate as much as you can possibly afford to however... we're hoping that the steve cult will eventually get the first monetary Darwin Award by donating themselves out of the gene pool.

he is giving out good information, and trying to educate people. I think his radio idea is a good one, I miss the RonPaulRevolution radio station that is now just a link to Alex Jones.
why do you continue to criticize Parents efforts? If you don't want to donate then just keep quiet. He IS helping people.

Dr. or Steve or Mr. Parent, Your last few weeks of posting kind of belies your objective here. Your continual responding to individuals such as Laurie undermines any credence you might have gained by even responding to their incessant attacks. Add to this your constant criticism toward Trevor Lyman (who I have myself questioned on his latest proposal) who you must admit has unarguably done more to further Dr. Paul’s cause than any of us could dream to do. It definitely looks like a desperate ego play here and the Drs. cause must be realized as something bigger than any of us individually. Whether you agree with Lyman or not his obvious abilities at internet marketing will crush you and we really don't need this distraction at this point. It is time to set all our own vanities aside and rally up towards the most obvious survivor in this useless drama. Trust me, he hasn't seen a dime of my money and won't until I have some more definitive answers, but he has the momentum and the proven expertise to pull this off. When’s the last time you saw him wasting time answering scurrilous accusations on this forum? We must consolidate our efforts at this most crucial of times and leave behind the small picture. One question I would ask you and it would do all us well to ask it of anyone seeking any type of leadership post be it business,political or social and that is “ Are you in it for the people or are you in it for profit”? Profit can easily be defined as something which advances someone’s financial, egotistical or social wellbeing. I find myself asking that of all the candidates which I see seeking office and am more often than not disappointed. Until I am secure in my belief that someone is acting selflessly, such as Dr. Paul, my purse strings are drawn closed.
No doubt there will be dissenting views here and I welcome them.

I have not made a dime from anything i have done.
Everything i have done and have been doing has been to educate the delegates on how to be successful at their conventions.
I did not attack trevor i only questioned why he did not help us get very important information out about the delegated process and nothing more.
The story of the blimp money being used for other purposes than the bimp was not my story for it was information by one of the actual owners of the blimp that was stating what he said was fact.
Do people not have the right to know what happened to their money?
I would suggest people ask me the same questions about the money they donate.
Are you aware that 14 people were requesting of trevor to help us provide this important information including radio hosts that promoted his projects and we were all ignored?
Are you aware that one of these people also emailed to trevor an error on his web site and received a response within 2 hours?
Question me as you will; however, i am doing what i can to help Dr. Paul obtain the nomination and educate people on rules of order.
I wish trevor well if his heart is in the right place and i am never against someone being paid in any way. I just wish to see people unite and not for profit but for the better of America, nothing more.

I never questioned your efforts as to educating
individuals as to the electoral procedures with regards to delegates, Rather my doubts lie in the wisdom in taking on Lyman in the venue you have chosen. And as well I never accused you of making "a dime". However you seem to be a bit thin skinned in this regard. We can hardly withstand any fracture in our efforts and you seem hell bent upon continuing upon this path. Once again I can say "trust me" I am in this till the end and there is nothing any one can say to distract me from pointing out any fractious actions which might injure our cause. I have accepted my place as a soldier in this war and you should too. As I said, "We all can't be tops dogs" and the sooner more of us become aware of this the easier it will become to achieve victory. You sir must address the true issue of your motives and when you honestly do and if the issue of promoting Dr. Paul’s cause is the primary cause of said actions, I have no doubt as to your actions.

I can't believe you actually typed those words when everybody here knows that any time you are confronted with a valid, legitimate question, you refuse to answer. I HIGHLY recommend any DP'er who wants to do their due diligence on the "Doctor" to check out some of the threads over at Ron Paul Forums (which has banned the "Doctor", btw). Read up about how this man has hurt the meetup groups he claims to want to "teach" ... read up about how the Nevada delegates were actually done a disservice by this wanna-be "expert". You are unbanned now because it was a 7 day ban... standard there. Not because of anything you did to get unbanned... it's just a mod selection.
Nice to see that you are actively soliciting money ... 500 a month for an online radio station of 1,000 or less is silly, to say the least. You can do for under 100 bucks.. I've had more traffic on my personal server when the significant other was running a pretty popular radio station. At 1,500 on a 1/2 T1 it started to slow my FPS in GW...lol.
I'm not quite sure why Mike is allowing you to use DP as your personal advertising space for your website.. perhaps you should get someone to place you a little higher on the search engines? Hand-submittal is a measly 149.99. Maybe he needs the traffic.. who knows.
I'm also not sure why people are still following you.. if anyone wants to know about Robert's Rules, you've got an internet connection and a brain.. please use both.

Donations are good and please by all means people if you choose to support the movement in this fashion, I encourage you to do so.
You will not survive with the existing business model. Air America did it for a while simply because their donors had deep pockets.
Keep your expenses low, which I have seen you have, good job. AA thought George's pockets were infinitely deep. Their monthly expenses were enormous, even the first week they aired.
You need to land 6 sponsors and make sure your listeners patronize those sponsors. Without those sponsors you are doomed. Can't be 5 must be 6. Not sure why, but the magic number for a start-up seems to be six, then there is a chance of success.
Tell your radio personalities that if they ever want to get paid, they better get out there and start humping for sponsors. And they need to be willing to sell their soul to their sponsors.
Finally, and this is not a personal attack, you need a CEO out in front with a lot of cred. I don't know you from Adam, and I am not saying you are not credible, it just simply needs to be earned. In the meantime, start kissing the ass of some VIP in the movement and bring him on board as CEO, even it is simply for the purpose of using his name. Maybe the benevolent gatekeeper at this site or somebody like that. Even if it means giving 50% of the company away, because 50% of nothing is nothing. I know, I've been there and done that.

He has also offered if we have real support that he will get us on AM stations and cable radio and then if we can prove ourselves on that level he said they will put us os XM radio.
We just need about 6 months worth of funding and support and we are on our way.
At that point we will never need another donation.
