FINALLY! something good, and you can help it happen. Please do!

I have been writing to my Senator and Representatives regularly a personal note on things that concern me, and you all of course too.I had put my last letter in a thread on the Daily Paul, and said I would copy his reply. My last letter to him was about the Enumerated Powers Act which the House was going to vote on, and had cosponsors of which Ron Paul is one. http://www.nolanchart.com... (this explains it, about its importance for our Constitution)
So, I had asked my senator to sponsor a similar bill for the Senate. Here is his reply:
May 1, 2008

Dear xxxxxxx:

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) is currently drafting a Senate version of the Enumerated Powers Act, and I have agreed to cosponsor this piece of legislation. I do not believe that Congress should overreach its Constitutional powers. This bill will help protect the rights of states by requiring legislation to identify its specific federal authority. I will continue to work with my colleagues to ensure that Congress works for the people. I look forward to the full consideration of this bill by the Senate.

I also noted your comments about my online email system as well. Because of volume of constituents contacting me, I utilize web-mail. In addition to web-mail, there are a number of ways to contact me. My offices in Wyoming as well as in Washington are able to answer any and all calls from my constituents and pass your thoughts and concerns along to me. My Cheyenne office can be reached by phone at: (307) 772-2477, and the toll free number for my Washington, D.C. office is: 1-888-250-1879. In addition, these offices are also able to receive written mail. Finally, the email addresses for individual members of my staff are also available on my web page.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me on this important issue. I rely on the ideas and suggestions from the people of Wyoming.

I want my constituents to have access to a more complete view of Congress and my activities so I have started a monthly e-newsletter. It is a brief summary of important issues and happenings. I encourage you to sign up on my web page at enzi.senate.gov. You can unsubscribe at anytime.

Sincerely,
Michael B. Enzi
United States Senator

He has not always made me happy, but don't you agree that he, and Senator Coburn should be commended? If they hear from a lot of us, these representatives of ours will learn that they really do need to listen? And it is so pleasant to finally have some of them doing good things in Washington DC, is it not?

To email Senator Coburn: http://coburn.senate.gov/...

Thank you all!!

Set up free phone bank

Hopefulfilled, have you seen this? You could set up an Enumerated Powers Act wiki on Cause Caller to create a virtual phone bank, making it easier for people to act on and help support this issue.

whats wrong with the house's version

http://www.govtrack.us/co...

The House and Senate are not =

If a bill passes the House, it must be raised as a Senate Bill, then voted on... etc, etc, etc.

The Senate version may or may not be exactly the same as the House version - but this is what the POTUS will sign or veto.

Your Constitution and our Revolution needs you here!

Please, won't you all write these senators, and your own to also sponsor this bill? Ron Paul wants you to, after all, he has sponsored it in the house.
