Paul/Kucinich third party ticket
Unlike many of you, I don't believe we have enough time to try and take Congress. It would take three election cycles at a minimum.
I think it's very unlikely we win the GOP nomination. The tricks we saw used in Nevada will be expanded a 100 fold if we have a chance to win. I honestly think they'd destroy their own party to keep us from winning.
So America is going to be faced with candidates they don't like this fall. I think it would be very interesting to have a true bi-partisan ticket available on a third party run. I disagree with Kucinich on some positions, but he also does have a lot in common with us.
He is against globalization and all that it entails. He is against the empire that is driving us toward being bankrupt. I think we can meet and find common ground on many other issues also.
This would be a ticket I think a lot of dissatisfied Dems and Reps would vote for.

Back in November Dennis
Back in November Dennis Kucinich was asked who he would like to have as his running mate... His answer was that he liked Ron Paul. You can listen to an audio recording of that at http://blog.cleveland.com... He reiterated his choice in mid December when he was again asked the same question: http://www.youtube.com/wa...
There's also a video on YouTube I watched a while back where Ron Paul responds directly to the question about having Kucinich as a running mate. Ron Paul does appear to like Kucinich very much, but ultimately he answered that Kucinich is too different on the social programs issue. Someone from RP's campaign HQ also answered the question and shot the idea down, basically.
You are correct, [john2k]
I note the youtube vid. below. Thanx :-)
KUCINICH IS A SOCIALIST..
KUCINICH IS A SOCIALIST.. gees you can';t see the difference between him and Paul? SCREW KUCINICH!
or me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
A communist?
I thought we still lived in a republic... I stay the course til I die. NO welfare, no redistribution of wealth it's simply immoral.
Capitalist/Socialist ticket?
That would be schizophrenic.

Adding Kucinich
Adding Kucinich to a Ron Paul ticket would make me less likely to vote for the Doc. Kucinich is a likable fella but his politics stink.
Me neither, BUT, look at this:
http://www.newswithviews....
This is Chuck Baldwin about his presidential campaign. Now, this is JUST speculation on my part, and i may be way off the wall here, but check this out: In this article, Chuck tells what he would do as pres, and it is identical to Ron Paul, and he mentions Ron Paul favorably over and over again here. Personally, and this is just speculation, but I think he took the nomination of the Constitution party not to run against Paul, which would take votes which would go to Paul, but to keep open the CP nomination, in case Paul doens't get the Rep nomination and give it to him. Even tho Paul says he probably won't go a third party, his reasons are too costly , too late, etc. But doing this, those reasons are no longer valid, because I am suspecting that the Constitutional party has already gotten on the ballots, etc. I don't know this for sure, but I doubt very much if Baldwin would do this knowing he would be taking votes from Paul, and I doubt he is doing it for his ego, either. Read the article, and see if I am off the wall here. I didn't want to make a thread of this, because of trolls, disinfo and the enemy, etc.
Chuck Baldwin appears to be
Chuck Baldwin appears to be a very big Ron Paul supporter and seems to have very similar positions on the issues. I'm not sure that he is holding Dr. Paul's "place" as the Constitution Party's nominee, though.
I do know that Ron Paul basically had an open invitation by both The Constitution Party and The Libertarian Party to be the nominee for those parties.
What really confuses me, though, is why the Libertarian Party and Constitution Party do not work together for this election cycle and both rally behind Ron Paul - considering that both parties have a huge amount of support for the good doctor.
I have the same thought in
I have the same thought in the back of my head too!

I gotta disagree with you
I gotta disagree with you for a couple of reasonings.
I am sure you are aware how the MSM treats major party candidates they don't want (RP). It would be even worse for a third party candidate, if that's possible. Unfortunately, a candidate needs the sleeping people of this country's support to be a contender. Most people don't see third parties as valid. So for a third party run, you need the media to cover you and you need the voters to support you. Unfortunately, that isn't reality for a third party candidate. I wish this wasn't so, but ut us. At this point of our counrties evolution, I don't see that we have the time to bring people around in regards to the third party candidates have a chance.
I live in the Congressional District next to Kucinich. I really like him as far as he acts on his beliefs, he has integrity, and seems to be a decent person. I do not care for his politics one bit... he is the epitomy of "take care of the people from cradle to grave".... spend money we don't have.
Yeah, and, as an aside, have
Yeah, and, as an aside, have you noticed how much media coverage the Constitution Party presidential candidate has received?
of course
3rd parties have no power. None. And they never get coverage.
No, I don't have television ,
but do they? So you don't think i am crazy?
