The media is totally smearing Ron Paul in Maine, and I mean outright in your face smearing. Lies after lies being "reported" as fact. We need in this country some laws to hold media accountable for what they report. Right now it seems the media are saying any outrageous lie they can think of against RP/supporters. Maybe its time for private citizens to force the media to stay on the straight and narrow. What we have here in America right now is communism 101 and it will only get worse if those doing the smearing get a free ride.
Or it could be the entire party structure is rotten to the core and we need to start something new. Even at the local level, you need 'area' party endorsements to go any place really. With the upcoming debacle, this is the time for an alternate choice for the people.
you know, I am beginning to think we have set our sights a bit too high here. I think it is important, the next time around, to run for state and local offices. If we "become" the local parties, the local parties can't railroad us.
There is great strength in starting and staying local in economics as well as politics. This national thing seems too big to plug up enough holes to make a difference.The odd thing is just like a roller coaster ride that I stood in line for and got on board I don't want to get off this campaign ride until it's really over. Even if we will never accomplish more than we have right now.
