It is far short of an endorsement, but Ron Paul has expressed a preference for Barack Obama over John McCain due to his positions on foreign policy.
In an interview on The Situation Room, Paul told Wolf Blitzer that endorsing Sen. John McCain, the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, “would really confuse” his supporters “because they know we have a precise program and we have to defend that program.”

I believe it was last weekend's Bloomberg interview that Paul stated McCain would be slightly better than the other two on taxes. In the same interview Paul said he would flip a coin if he had to choose between the three candidates.
My interpretation of the CNN statement was that Paul only preferred Obama in the area of foreign policy, and then only slightly.
Uh...
That means, "he doesn't suck quite as much as the other guy."

I totally agree with you, this individual is only trying to get attention. Ron Paul was basically asked if he had to chose from Hiltary, McBomb, or Obama, who he thought might do a better job. Obama is the least likely candidate to get anything done, is my thought, and the fact that Obama would put a time line on bringing our troops home within the first year of Presidency is my understanding, not only that Obama is one of the few running other than Ron Paul that has actually read the Constitution, and may be willing to abide by it. Unfortunately, the powers that be would get rid of him shortly after he took office, just like Kennedy.
Mind you I am not a conspiracy nut either.
