Am I just super-intelligent, or what?
It took me about 10 minutes of listening to Dr. Paul speak to decide that he was the man I was voting for.
I never used to vote. I never saw a politician worth voting for. Maybe it's just me, but generally when I see a politician speak, I can see right through them. All of them. Pandering suck ups. I can't stand ass-kissers or suck-ups, so I saw no sense in voting for one.
When Dr. Paul speaks, I can tell he's telling me the truth. I can tell he is a man of integrity, and someone who will fight for the average American.
You couldn't get me to vote for Hillary for anything. I look at her and I see EVIL. Not just a pandering fool... but an EVIL pandering fool.
Obama makes people swoon. He makes me wanna puke.
McCain I actually used to have some respect for. He used to be a guy who would buck the republican party on issues like the war, torture, etc. Now it appears he's just a shill for the party. Flip-flop, flip-flop. How can you respect him now?
Am I just an outstanding judge of character?
Are the American people just idiots?

I know the msm plays a big role. I think there are about 10-15% of Americans who actually pay attention to what's going on in politics. I'm guessing about 1/2 of them are voting for Dr. Paul. That means that 85-90% are looking to the msm, or their friends and family, to tell them who to vote for. We know who the msm is pushing... anybody but Dr. Paul.
I know the msm has people brain-washed... they had me brain-washed for a long time. Dr. Paul cured my apathy though.
Is apathy not curable in some people? Must not be. I don't know how anyone could listen to the debates and not vote for our man. Am I wrong?

Maybe we're a movement that has traction...god I hope so...but most people are so cynical because they've heard this all before.
Maybe they remember Goldwater in 1964...who would have kept us out of Vietnam, wouldn't have brought us the great society...but the masses were scared out of voting for him.
Maybe they remember H Ross Perot...seemed like a straight shooter, i'll be damned if he wasn't right about NAFTA, i'll be damned if he wouldn't have screwed up a good thing like Slick Willy...maybe he would have even dealt party politics their death blow...but no one wanted to "waste their vote" on someone just because he was the best option.
Maybe i'm still too young to throw up my hands and say we're slaves to DC and it's a worthless cause...but it's hard to argue with someone when they say that the people holding the strings in this world will never let Ron Paul become president.
It's not that Americans are ignorant...they're defeated. We all know the deck is stacked, and stacked against us. The leaders of this world have been playing a crooked game, and though we had them in this country for more than 100 years...they've won here too.
I'd run in defeat...if only there was somewhere left to run to. America used to be the place to run to...now what do we have?
The attitude you must have is that you must stick to your guns, and if you're the only voice of reason and enlightenment, so be it. Don't care if i'm the only one who thinks this way...but i'll never vote for the lesser of two evils again.
Media brainwash
People in our society tend to absorb and believe what the MEDIA tells them,sorry to say. If Dr. Paul's not mentioned,then he doesn't exist.
That's why it's so important to constantly get the word out to everyone you encounter.

lol... you describe me to the letter.. I voted for Ron Paul in 1988. then we had NONE worth a dang to vote for! I was elated when I heard Ron Paul was running... my wife and I maxed out! i'm a state and congressional, and county delegate.. I often wonder wtf people are thinking when they won't listen the man! they have been so brainwashed and brought up in socialism they don not know freedom and liberty when it smashes them in the face!

plenty of times. You are as frustrated as I have been trying to figure it out and to hear you put it that way made me laugh. How do people gaze at Obama like they are in a trance and he is the long awaited Mesiah and they hang on every word and he says-------------nothing. Change, change, change. Without forcing myself to focus on the other 2, I will tell you my observation. For better or worse ( is has given me grief ) I can usually tell when someone is lying or telling the truth very quickly. I know people are programmed, distracted, apatheic, kept busy and and many other things. However, I just don't understand what keeps them from resonating with truth when they hear it and not being able to detect BS. That and people like to group together with the popular majority, no matter what it is; they don't want to stand out; one use for polls. As bad as it is, I really see more and more people waking up everyday from whatever spell they are under. That is why we are seeing articles like the earlier one posted that said "they are petrified of Paul".
I had to do a little research
I had not heard him speak but my 25-year-old son mentioned him. So I looked into him. It sounded good but I wasn't convinced. I mean a guy has got to have some skeletons, right? Something that will pop out of the Jack in the Box and say "gotcha!" But the more I read about him on his website and surfed around, I saw a man with no skeletons. It also blew me away because he said so many of the things that I have been saying for a long time. So, I did some homework but after that he was my man!
I took a friend to see him in Reno. She loved what he had to say but she had a hard time seeing it as practical. She is also duped into believing in the war and that the Iranians are monsters so that holds her back. The MSM and various talk show hosts have really got people brainwashed on that.

Honestly, I think it's perspective. Most people are short term pragmitists. Most people do not believe in principle or think long term.
i have said this before:
Give the sheep their big screen tv, a beer, and a football game and they are happy. They don't really give a crap about prices as long as they have their entertainment and credit cards. Price doesn't matter if you put it on a credit card, because they just make their minimal payment and keep on buying. Oops, hit the limit? they will automatically raise it so you can stay in debt via usury. They will accept being spoon fed the bull crap the msm feeds them as long as they think they have all the "comforts" they deem important. why vote? The government knows best. "They will make sure I have what I need." And they could care less about the patriot act; doesn't apply to them (yet.)
