I have little time to double read every story, if the story is about Lawson; Title it Lawson.
It is offensive and childish and too transparent a marketing gimmick to give him the name Ron Jr.

This guy wants Huckabee's "fair tax?" No, I don't think I'll be supporting him.
Heh, calm down...
I don't want the 'fair tax' either but look at it this way:
1) Anyone against the Federal Income Tax is an ally.
2) IF the 'fair tax' is the is main difference between the Good Doctor and this guy, then I say 'good enough for government work.' He'd be a valuable ally on other fronts... We can debate about how to dismantle the IRS and the FED after we reign in our spending and foreign policy.
I do agree with you though. The 'fair tax' may solve one or two problems, but it leaves most glaring flaws of our current tax system intact. The real problem is not the method they employ to deprive us of our money, but what is done with the money once they have it.
I'm Not The One Who Needs Calming
People have to stop hysterically flocking to every candidate who invokes Ron Paul's name in order to get access to our charitable nature. . . As I said below, the fair tax, if it ever comes, is not going to go away, it's only going to get bigger. And I don't want the fed tracking my every purchase. . . . . And, it's unconstitutional, but that's almost beside the point.
Educate your candidates and hold them accountable...
They are our candidates and I would hope that we are addressing these philosophical issues and debating them. If you believe that his support of the "fair tax" is not constitutional, please take the time to present him with a compelling argument against it.
We are a diverse bunch, united in our love on constitution and we should debate these sticky points and learn and teach at these debates.

Even if it's constitutional, and I don't believe it is, that doesn't make it a good idea. Once the monolith gets ahold of a source of revenue, and a means of tracking everything we buy, believe me it'll never let go until it swallows us all.

Most states give delegates by congressional district. If we have Republicans running all over the country for congress, even in Dem areas we gain influence. I do not care if it is the most Democratic place in the country, if a Ron Paul republican wins the republican nomination then come next election cycle we have a someone who holds weight in that district. The most important key is getting local leaders on our side. Here is a story that talks about it.

I hate to rain on the parade, but I wouldn't go ordering the celebratory champagne just yet. The district Lawson is running in is overwhelmingly Democratic- no Republican has cracked 40% in over a decade in that district.

David Price has won last time in 2006 with 65%, but you will also see he managed to win not only with heavily Democratic areas, but also the strong support of students of the NCU. But this time Lawson can get most of the students and young people vote plus has cross-party appeal to Independents and Democrats and Price has no advantage with regard to the Iraq war to Lawson, unlike any other GOP candidate. With a lot of money to be raised, enthusiastic grassroot support and a full out campaign for every vote, with also the support of Cho and the NC GOP plus speakers/endorsements it may be possible for him to win. If he does win, it will not be by a strong margin of course. He he manages to win say 51-49
it would be great. Hopefully there will be a Green Party or another party candidate that can siphon off some support from Price, that could also help. Perhaps people are tired of Price also, and/or some revelations that could help bring him down, not that Lawson would fight a negative campaign. There is nothing negative Price or his team can dig up on Lawson.
Lawson's campaign is not into divisive politicks
But I wonder how this will affect Price since he voted for the war and the Patriot Act I believe.

It looks like a tough battle but a winnable one and will be that much more impressive when it happens. I hope the Lawson campaign reaches out to the movement so we can support him and feel a part of the team.

Even though he is only 10 yrs younger than myself...
It makes me feel like a proud father. I watched the debate videos of him against Cho, and when Cho pulled out a pocket copy of the constitution and tried to make a joke about how the Ron Paul people like to carry them around, I just wanted to crawl through the screen and literally kick his ass all the way back to Vietnam (or wherever the hell he came from-it was pretty clear that he was bought and paid for). As a conservative Republican for the last 23 years, it made me want to puke. Making fun of the constitution, or those that fight to no end to uphold it is almost as bad as messing with my family--------BAAAAAAAAAAAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!
