Some thoughts on Paul's Obama comment

it occurs to me, RP must know of what has been happening with the conventions. Perhaps his hints of support for Obama were meant to scare the GOP establishment into being more welcoming of us, for fear that he might endorse Obama if the GOP shuts us out,

I've Presented My Thoughts On Obama's Speech

Jingoist.

I think he was just

I think he was just reassuring the GOP that a mccain win is very unlikely. And it appears that they still aren't facing reality

Totally agree

Ron Paul is telling Mccain that only way you can win is to adapt my policy...pull out of Iraq and get rid off Federal reserve

Don't think so

I think Ron Paul is just sincere. He was answering a question.

I don't support Obama, but I haven't met a single Ron Paul supporter who would vote for McInsane. The hard core RP people like me don't go for Obama either, but I do think some RP people will go for Obama as the lesser of three evils.

well..wether that was his intention or not

it certaily SHOULD scare them. And screw our party- we give them perhaps American history's best president and they push us on our ass and give us a delusional good ol boy- an exodus toward Obama is what they can expect. I wonder if Ron Paul would write himself in or actually vote for the lesser of 2 evils? Id bet hed write his own name in...I will.

I absolutely agree

The republican party should be scared. I have been canvassing door to door to get signatures to put a local candidate on the ballot, and about 10% of the doors I knock on go ballistic on me the second I mention I'm representing the republican party. They yell at me about the war, the economy, how disappointed they are, how much worse their lives have become since Bush took office, etc., and it's not like I'm canvassing Obama supporters! I have lists, and I'm only knocking on registered republican's doors. If my personal experience is anything to go by, the republican party is in trouble because it's former supporters are PISSED!

Revolutionary!

Every American write in Ron Paul.

Perhaps make it simple. Take the remaining funds and create a write-in ballot and get it registered for all 50 states. Basically, if someone would like to write in Ron Paul they get a serialized sticker from the Paul campaign and are allowed in every state to apply it to the ballot.

Then every voter can take a photo of their ballot before walking in the polls or at the polls if allowed and submit with statement back to the official campaign confirming the vote.

Doctor Paul? Are you listening? This plan has merit and you can stay republican and have a real chance.

Merit to your mind.

This is EXACTLY what we need to foucus our time on...

being ready for a write in, delegates and a method of vote-counting in place that provides a paper trail. We could win by 78% - but at the end of the day whoever the news says wins, wins and all of our blood, sweat and tears will have been for nought. I like the idea of the sticker ! Something like that could be generated in time.

You're right

How many of us are precinct captains? I would have to say, "lots." I know who could be easily swayed to write in Ron Paul. I know officially we're not supposed to tell people who to vote for, but giving people information on how to go about voting for write-ins wouldn't be a violation, would it?
