Why is Dr. Paul Blocking the "Save Act" to Enforce Immigration Laws???????

Whenever I see legislation with a "friendly" name, I am now instantly suspicious: Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, Real ID, etc.

The prettier the packaging, the more I expect to find maggots inside.

Whyfor the friendly names? Because they know people will take the name at face value, listen to the OM spout off about "how good this is for you," and buy it hook, line and sinker. The problem is, of course, that they (we!) end up caught, lined, and sunk, all because they swallowed the bait.

Mind the lures!

a similar piece of law in place and it makes getting any type of public service from the gov. frustrating, time consuming, information raping and a complete nightmare... all of this while there are still plenty of illegals here doing whatever they want.

It is just a way to collect information on law abiding people and penalize those who have a need to do honest business and conduct their lives in a law abiding nature.

Criminals tend to not give much consideration to the law.

Because of his character, honesty, and ethics, if RP speaks people are beginning to listen, because he only speaks the truth.

He will become a beacon, a civ, for all legislation.

Can't wait until he has amassed a caucus.

That is, if he is not in the White House.

the save act is a way to gather info on YOU. It could be used to build the data base that feeds REAL ID.

I'm quite concerned about illegal immigration and it's impacts on this country.
However, this "Save Act" dances around the issue, and goes directly at the innocent American Citizens, in a "register all American workers" federal program.

Creates Federal Database and ID system for all Americans. If that isn't enough to alarm you, then you'd better study some more.
Creates a huge Federal bureaucracy to implement and monitor and control the program. More taxes. Once this bureaucracy is implemented, it can be evolved or morphed into whatever they want later. They always grow and become more oppressive as they go.
Creates new ways to incarcerate, fine, and otherwise penalize normal Americans. More oppression. Even more will follow.
Fed Gov already regularly "selectively enforces" most laws, and can easily turn a "blind eye" to illegal job activity, but put the hammer down on Joe and Mary Sixpack if they forget to "cross a T, or dot an i", and that's exactly what this corrupt Fed Gov will do.

One of the big mistakes that is made by people who are just starting to understand what's going on, is the "assumption" that the Fed Gov is doing anything in "our best interest". They are doing things for their best interest, at our expense. That's the first thing that's needed to learn.

I'm happy that you are concerned about illegal alien problems, and are interested in helping to solve this, and possibly other, problems. A bit of learning about the corrupt and subversive manner that things are presented and done by Fed Gov, in order to "look good while doing bad" would be very beneficial.
This is a slick game they're playing, and they have a lot of practice.
Learn to read between the lines. Do not assume "good". Parse the language of every bill, and look for the hooks.

I'll repeat for clarity.
DO NOT make the assumption that anybody in Fed Gov, or most other gov orgs, is doing ANYTHING in the best interest of their constituency. There is always a hidden agenda. And the higher you get in the centralized gov't structure, the more heinous the hidden agendas are.
That's a rule.

There's a reason why they are often called "public serpents".

Please don't take my comments the wrong way. I'm glad you are concerned. Please get with some members who've walked the path awhile, to show you the ropes, so you don't get snared.

It is no longer enough to believe the MSM's interpretation of legislation before Congress. One must examine the bill's sponsors also.

The PATRIOT act sounded real nice on the surface.

The globalists have been playing this game of subterfuge for decades.
If Ron Paul is not supporting a piece of legislation, one can be assured that the bill was READ in it's entirely, and there is fine print in it that subverts either our sovereignty, or our civil liberties.

There are already enough immigration laws on the books. They are not being enforced.

One example is the "paper ballot" legislation, which sounds wonderful, until one reads the fine print, it federalizes every election in our country.

There is no limit to the sneakiness of the globalists, so read the bills.

I really don't see any evidence that "most of our economic troubles immulating [sic] from illegal immigration"- we have had huge influxes of "illegals" for decades- in good times and bad. Its just that politicians start flogging the "immigration" issue more when the economy is going bad (scapegoating).

Also, unemployment isn't going to be greatly affected if you open up more jobs picking onions in the south Texas sun for $4/hour- most of the unemployed make far more than that just collecting unemployment (and, frankly, most of the unemployed Americans wouldn't last a day doing that kind of work).

We should NOT be giving illegals "freebies", but to blame ALL of our economic problems on some guy picking watermelons in Hidalgo, Texas is probably a bit silly.

Try blaming the real causes- like uncontrolled government spending (the war and all the other idiotic stuff), excessive printing of money, etc

...a border state guy (TX) who doesn't find "immigration" to be anywhere near the top of list of our biggest problems.
