I guess, I was just wondering if anyone ever gets tired of dealing with people who have no clue, all the masses of sheep out there. Most of my friends and family members think I am some political radical ( nut ) I have been banned from local forums for telling the truth and supporting RP. Sometimes it's like banging your head against a brick wall. I get so sick of these people who are for immigration ( because of the cheap labor and they feel sorry for them ), and for socialism, these people who think there are differences between the political parties, when there is none. People dont even understand the current gas situation. They think the BB will step in and save them. I tried to tell people about the coming police state ( I think we already in it ) I tried to tell them about the dollar and where it was heading ( I think it has nowhere to go but down ) am I wrong? I also told them it wouldn't hurt to stock up on food. I got made fun of on that one and banned permantly for speaking out about illegal immigration, which I think is a serious issue, I think it is our TRUE war. I told them there is no such thing as cheap labor at least not for the taxpayer. I explained the multitudes of costs associated with it. I also said that that in the long run both countries lose out, because we can only sustain the fiasco for so long. I also said you will never help a country by giving it a handout and letting them rape ours in the process. You take from one group to GIVE to another, in the end they both lose! The only way to get the country to step up is to STOP giving them a handout. Governments control poverty. I got called a racist etc. I could not even defend my position, I got banned so fast. Needless to say, it's hard to keep on going sometimes, knowing everyone is so brainwashed. It's like fighting the Borg, resistance is futile, lol. Just had to vent out my frustrations. Thanks.

Dude...this is what i am doing.
I 100% understand what you mean. I am reading RP's book and taking to heart his reading list. I have gone stealth and i am focusing on me and nobody else right now. Maybe some day my opinions will be called on to help guide my small city in times of trouble. I am out of debt and developing a game plan to pay off my house. I don't care if the dooms day-ers are right or wrong. It's just smart to take care of your health, don't spend beyond my means, and continue to educate myself in the thoughts of our founders. I am a real American and 95% of the folks are meet are socialists of some stripe or another. Including members of my own family.
Example of frustration: I spent 6 months bringing my mother on board the RP bandwagon and she came on board just b/c I told her it was the right thing to do. The other day she was telling me about her stimulus check and was shocked to learn that i was not getting one. I told her that i was fortunate enough to be considered not worthy of a stimulus check by the govt. Yes,i am considered rich by the USG. I then told her that somebody had to pay for the $600 she just received. Even after 6 months of educating her on RP and basic economics she still was not able to make the connection that her check was the fruit of somebody's labor...not hers. If i can't make my own mother create the brain waves to understand the simple things how can i expect the rest of the country to come on board.
I can't and I will continue to take care of myself. If i see a window, to educate i want to be prepared. Then hit it and hit hard...then leave it alone.
there's my rant but i feel your pain. focus on yourself and forget everybody else. do the right thing day in and day out and it will all work out.

My husband and I feel the same way you do. We are ridiculed and laughed at. My family is all of the time making fun about me voting for Ron Paul and talking about the economy tanking. The way I see it, they may laugh now, but it won't be long they will see that what I have been saying is true. Thank you for posting this. It is nice to hear we are not the only ones that feel this way and are treated like this. Keep up the good work, these people may be coming to you in the near future to find out what you know.

I am just keeping to myself and continuing on with the revolution. I just got my Oregon ballot and got to see my name on there as a PCP (Precinct Committee Person). There was only one other person listed, and I'm hoping he supports the good Dr. too. I only need 3 votes besides myself to qualify--done deal. The next step is in July when Oregon picks its delegates to go to the convention. I hope I get picked (as a lifelong Repub for the last 23 years), I also have an employee that has an aunt that lives in Lakeville that I can stay with-about 40 minutes away from St. Paul. Rush isn't the only one that has an "Operation Chaos" planned. This is a once in a lifetime event, and I hope to be a part of it.

I have the same problem and when I get down I think about how Dr. Paul has been trying for over 30 years to wake up people. I finally got my husband thinking about getting a little place away in the country if it gets scary. Hope to stock it with food etc. Start looking out for yourself when you look like the only one who knows what is going on and they start asking questions just have some web sites written down and let them discover for themselves.

A simple tool to help you talk to anybody in five minutes about the message of liberty. The letters stand for Family-Occupation-Recreation-Message. That is all you have to remember, the rest will come with practice. People like it when they get to talk about themselves, while you are looking for a way to relate Dr. Paul's message to them personally. This is an old Dale Carnegie "How to Win Friends and Influence People" sales technique.
Family -
(sample questions)
Do you have kids?
Where is you family? / Where do you come from?
Do you get "home" often?
What brought you to here?
What do you love about raising a family here? / Being so far from home?
(Most people will just start complaining.)
Occupation -
How is your job?
Hours? / Commute?
You must really love your job! (Opens the door to complaining.)
Do you have a second or side job?
Does your wife work? Does she love her job?
Recreation -
What is there to do for fun around here?
What do your kids for fun?
What did you do for fun back home?
How often do you get to do that nowadays?
What are you reading?
What do you watch on TV?
What do you think about the news nowadays?
Message -
Now you know how to apply some aspect of the message to that individual. Not everyone is going to be turned on by "no tax on tips" or the immigration issue. Is inflation or the job market making it tough to make ends meet or requiring them to work extra? How is variable interest affecting their mortgage payment? THE GOAL OF EVERY CONVERSATION IS TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER CONVERSATION.
Do not get discouraged with this. You will only get one or two people out of ten to get excited and wish to hear more, the others are just asleep. Exchange phone or email contact information. Invite them to a meetup or make a bookstore-coffee date and invite another friend or two from your meetup group to go along. Once you have made a date with one person, invite other people you talk to. Excitement is contagious, people get it from each other, and it spreads fastest in small groups of 6-10 people, where 2-3 are committed (to keeping the conversation on track) and the rest are new. Remember, it is all about the newest guy. The conversation is all about the newest guy.
Now you have to get off of the computer. You will be far more successful in person than in chat rooms. Take Dr. Paul's new book and some slim jims and go do your laundry at the laundromat or sit in the bleachers at the park at little league practice; you will have a captive audience. :-)

I hear ya, liberalism is the status-quo
political ideology. It's deeply ingrained in people's minds. I live in Canada. The socialist-leaning liberalism here is disgusting.
ps. why are you opposed to immigration? Freedom of movement is a fundamental right (as long as it is not violating the rights of others).
Our immigration
is not immigration.
It is actually refugees. They are taking refuge from economies that are not sustaining them. It is so bad, that soon our economy will not sustain itself. Our refugees from other countries come here to take advantage of our liberal system. They do not come for freedom and to integrate into our society. They are leaching off of our society and making us very, very sick.
I am
not opposed to Legal immigration. I am opposed to illegal immigration. I am opposed to the freebies given to illegals at the expense of others. I do not believe there is any incentive to build up one country by tearing down another in the process.

I dont agree with the fence either. We are pretty much prisioners here anyway with the new passports ect. I dont understand what is so hard about, stopping the benefits for illegals, such as welfare, free housing, free medical and dental, free schools, free energy assistance ect. I guess it would take a politician with a backbone, if you can find one other than RP. It's all the socialists and libs destroying this country. They dont understand that the free ride only lasts so long. Personally, I think they are selling this country out on purpose. I believe this is the goal, they want globalization, that is why nothing has been done to stop it.

but rather a change of ideology. The elites want it this way. They will build the stupid fence to appease us, then they will probably just fly the illegals here. They just want our society to level out with the rest of the world, with Russia. The Elites are not Americans. They are globalists without a country.
