How funny the Missouri GOP is - John McCain and Cindy McCain did not vote for Bush in 2000 as reported by CNN. According to CNN, McCain told this to Arianna Huffington which she has confirmed.

But in all truth, the Missouri GOP does not have numbers to prove that McCain is the nominee and therefore can't use that tactic.

Looks like the GOP doesn't want us or the policies and principals we believe in. I keep holding out hope for the GOP but alas I see there is none. Their defeat will be sweet.

Other words that come to mind are despicable, unethical, stupid, and arrogant. As a truly loyal Republican, I resent these idiots for sabotaging our party by acting like the gestapo? Don't they realize that they are going to do far more damage to our party's unity than any possible "disruption" that could be caused by the Ron Paul supporters.

My family has been republicans since at least the 1950's. Now we have to hold our noses when we consider those whom the power brokers tell the party bosses to choose for us. Ron Paul truly is the LAST, BEST, "Hope for America." He is everything that my 27 years of Constitutional study (started as a teenager) has taught me to look for.

We seek out wise, honest, and virtuous men and women who understand and adhere to the Constitution and sound economic principles. At last, we have found one who can make an impact as President. Make sure we ourselves have these qualities.

Commentator Naomi Wolf has written and spoken much about how the Bush/Republican apparatus has taken us back to 1930's Nazi Germany with the way they are pushing THEIR chosen one, and squashing all opposing voices (throw in the Patriot Acts for good measure). Today, delegate credentials are challenged; tomorrow, we'll be wearing yellow stars; the day after, will we be rounded up and sent to these camps being readied for an "mass influx of immigrants"?

Everyone, make your voice heard, tell your friends, call/write to your elected and party leaders and the media, demand they tell the truth and stop these manipulations. Make sure you understand fully the Constitution and sound principles of good government and economics, and demand the same of your leaders. Do NOT threaten to take up arms -- you will only give them the excuse to "put down an insurrection."

cannot believe the GOP is so dumm and stupid. I read they want to deny Paul speaking at any other state convention as they are afraid of him persuading delegates like in NV. Well, if it looks like McCain delegates are in a majority somewhere and they have this witchhunt, simply go stealth and play along and make you you are a delegate to the RNC. Alaksla state already has a resolution/request for Paul to speak at the convention.

If the GOP really deny Paul any access to the RNC etc., he will decide course.
Best is to support the Ron Paul Republicans, Libertarian, Independents, LP and CP's also so that they fare much better than the other GOP candidates. In the wake of a big election disaster for the GOP, the RP candidates will perform the best and Paul can take control and be appointment minority whip etc. after the election, as then it will be clear tot he GOP they have to change course and they lost the election due to the war (and economy). In 2010 you can work towards regaining majority in the senate and congress then and make it virtually impossible for a president Obama or CLinton to continue with their disastrous course.
In the election, you can always vote for your local conservative-libertarian congressman/woman and for for Barr/Baldwin in the presidential election.

Ron Paul supporters have their day in court, er, armory

Here’s the scene: About 45 Ron Paul supporters, most of them from Republican hotbeds Greene County or St. Charles, are gathering in the gymnasium of the Jefferson City armory awaiting their fate as challenged delegates to the Republican state convention.

There’s an 80-year-old man who made the jaunt on a Monday at 10 a.m. There is Curtis Abbott, one of the Greene County ringleaders. There’s a group holding a prayer circle as the first delegate is led upstairs.

And over on the floor playing with his 3-and-a-half-year-old son Andy is Brent Stafford of St. Charles. Stafford was chairman of the St. Charles County Conference, which elected 137 delegates to the state convention, nearly all of them supporters of the failed presidential candidate, Paul.

Stafford and others believe the state party is ignoring it’s “open door” platform by challenging delegates without a reason. All of the challenged delegates in the Armory received a letter from Richard C. Peerson, the chairman of the Republican convention credentials committee. The letter did not state any reasons for the challenge.

“At least they’re giving us the illusion of due process,” Stafford said. He was referring to the 2nd Congressional District convention in which all the St. Charles delegates were unceremoniously tossed out.

The first to be called before the credentials committee today was Barry Pulley of St. Peters. Pully tried to bring Peggy Young with him. Young is an expert in parliamentary procedure who agreed to represent the challenged delegates in their secret meetings, but she was not allowed to join Pulley.

“Effectively, they were saying I was there because the entire group (of Paul delegates) was challenged,” Pulley said. He stated his case and the meeting ended. He said he still plans to attend the state convention.

Republican Party Executive Director Jared Craighead could not be reached for comment. He was in the closed-door meetings upstairs at the Armory, according to one of the Republican Party officials running the meeting.

1.) Lying is NECESSARY for the survival of the state.
2.) The power of government should be restricted to the elite.
