Why Civilizations Fall--And How YOU Can Prevent the Fall of America
A graduate of Columbia and Stanford Universities, Dr. Kenneth McFarland was a famous lecturer and renowned educational consultant. Dr. McFarland outlined six steps that every fallen civilization in history has taken. These are:
1. They lost their religious convictions and flouted basic morality.
2. They became obsessed with sex.
3. They debased their currency and inflation ran rampant.
4. Honest work ceased to be a virtue.
5. Respect for law disintegrated and violence became an accepted method of achieving individual and group desires.
6. Finally, citizens were no longer willing to be soldiers and fight for the defense of their nation and their heritage.
America in general is following this disastrous path to the letter--but will you individually?
What can you do to lead a much-needed American r3VOLution?
Refuse to take part in the decline and "be the change" in the following ways:
1. Stay firm in your religious and spiritual convictions. "There is a just God," proclaimed Patrick Henry, "who presides over the destiny of nations..." Believe in Him. Serve, honor, and obey Him.
2. Put sex in its proper perspective. Shun pornography in all its forms. Be true to your spouse and to virtuous principles.
3. Religiously save and wisely invest 10% of your income. Learn the relationship between production and consumption in the economy.
4. Exemplify the work ethic that made America great. Work hard, work smart, and be honest in all your dealings. Live the spirit of providence.
5. Respect the rule of law. When you encounter unjust laws, obey them while working to change them through peaceful and constitutional means.
6. Fight and live for America by becoming an educational "soldier." Know what you're fighting for by learning your heritage.
Study the roots of America through Aristotle, Plato, Locke, Montesquieu, Thucydides, the Bible, the Federalist Papers, and others. Memorize the Declaration of Independence. Read the Constitutional regularly.
Will America fall? No one can answer that question with certainty.
The real question is, "Will you fall?" Will you follow the crowd, or will you be the change you wish to see in America?

...to save America from slavery:
1) No child born outside of marriage.
2) No second marriage.
3) No immigration except by marriage.
Two words to
stop the downsizing of intelligence on this thread.
Flag CedarMill.
Let's flag polygamists.
They are working against human rights.
Unconstitutional laws should
Unconstitutional laws should not be obeyed. If they pass a law to collect guns, are you going to hand over?
Laws can be passed to put a nation's Constitution in chains, example Nazi Germany. Germany had a Constitution.
Will you trade your GUNS for WATER??
I found pending legislation regarding the Fed. Govt. going after ALL water rights in the U.S.
Great Lakes, lakes, rivers, streams, wells, springs, rainwater, cisterns, water sheds, and any other water you can think of.
If this bill passes, they will control all industry, not mention all our lives!
I just deleted my email with info - if anyone has it, please post here.
They can't seem to get your guns, but got them all registered for when the time comes. They are going after ammo, will have it registered too.
But, if they can't seem to get that done, they'll trade you water for your guns.
EVERYONE BETTER GET BUSY ON THIS PENDING LEGISLATION!
thank you
a good post i think
I agree with all the points

except for the porn and military service stuff. Otherwise, yes, I see what he is getting at. It is more then just changing the law, it is also showing that we can be responsible AND free, that we don't need a government to motivate us to be fair, honest, just, compasionate, etc.
The military service stuff
If by "military stuff" you were referring to this point:
6. Finally, citizens were no longer willing to be soldiers and fight for the defense of their nation and their heritage.
Well, I think there's something to that, and here's why:
When citizens are no longer willing to be soldiers and fight for the defense of their nation and heritage, it is because they feel their nation has come to a place that either no longer reflects their heritage, or, the people no longer value or wish to honor and uphold their heritage.
In either case, the people simply don't feel it's worth risking their lives to protect the current state of their nation, and are certainly not interested in helping it to endure in its present form. When people no longer want to fight for their country, it's because there's not much country left to fight for (you see?), and the nation is doomed. Not doomed because the people won't fight for it, but, because it was doomed already. The peoples' refusal to fight for the sinking ship aids in the speed and severity of the nation's demise, true; but it not ipso facto the cause of the nation's demise.
This is the argument against conscription. If you must resort to forcing people to fight for a cause, then the cause in and of itself is not worthy or valued enough by the people to warrant risking life and limb. Drafting unwilling, uninterested, and undevoted persons makes for weak warriors...thus furthering the downward spiral of demise of the nation as a whole.
Another good book on the subject is

Jared Diamond's COLLAPSE: HOW SOCIETIES CHOOSE TO FAIL
It is shows historical examples of societies that collapse, and analyzes the common aspects of each. It is interesting because he takes into account ecological, economic, and political factors and how they interplay.
The Evolution of Civilizations
While I believe some of the above points require more clarification its good as far as it goes. For a more comprehensive dissection of civilizations - how they grow to why they collapse - read Carroll Quigley's "The Evolution of Civilizations". Yes, he's the same Quigley who who had access to the inner workings and documents of the hidden elite who pull the strings of world governments, starting with Cecil Rhodes to the eventual creation of the Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergs, CFR, etc. in his masterwork, "Tragedy and Hope". Don't let the fact Bill Clinton idolized him detract from his great insights as to how civilizations ultimately fail. He identifies seven stages and while it can be difficult to clearly identify each stage as elements of each can appear to overlap, I'd say there is more and more evidence accumulating we are on the cusp between stage five, Universal Empire, and stage six, The Age of Decay. Collapse follows the Age of Decay. And isn't it instructive that civilizations routinely go through an Age of Empire - what Ron Paul warns us against - as a prelude to decay and collapse.

My immediate family obides
My immediate family obides by these rules, but my extended family and friends I just cannot awake. Even though I am agnostic, I still believe a good Christian society is key to our nation. I have always lived by the 10 commandments because frankly they are just a good set of rules. But I am stuck as to how to wake up my Oikos. I am almost to the point to where I just feel like looking out for myself, wife and kids. When the poo hits the fan, they will come running, but I cant afford to feed them. Hmmm?
You actually cannot affort not to
feed them. It would go against your grain, as I read you post.
I had a missionary (LDS) tell me about how they store food. My assumption was it was to take care of themselves. However, he told me it was so they could help others too.
The more we give, the more we get back - trust me - somethings are true whether you believe them or not. I've see it many times.
Thanks for your insight and I believe your extended family and friends will come to their senses, keep being the educational soldier taking care of your fellow human beings.
It took five years before people realized they were in the first depression. My parents and grandparents talked about it and survived.
Actually, the Great
Actually, the Great Depression was the third depression in the United States. The first depression was from 1807 to 1814 and the second depression was from 1873 to 1896.

Bottom line, we will survive and turn things around if we can get enough people involved!
Yes, we have studied
this subject in homeschool. Even Ron Paul says that freedom comes with a price: self responsibility.
Why do value added posts
go by un-noticed while others about "trolls" continue for two or three days? A post about nothing?
yes , the trolls
are still b@#$% slapping on a 9/11 post...of course,
Well, this is food
