Husband fights for release of his 24 year old wife, kidnapped and held by Texas CPS

Digg it! http://digg.com/people/FL...

The State insists this woman is <18 years old, so with no proof they are holding her captive, and her baby, due any day, will become a ward of the state.

If you follow the link above and read the comments, following the story, there are some more heart-breaking accounts of CPS abuses of power.

How much would you like to bet that all of this cases of disputed age will become ammunition for the Statists to get otherwise independent-mind people to agree to REAL ID?

FLDS man seeks wife's release from state custody
Posted: May 8, 2008 02:42 PM

Rulan Jessop said he and his wife have not broken any laws, and he wants to be reunited with his family.
AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) -- A member of the Yearning for Zion Church was in court Thursday, demanding the release of his pregnant wife and two children.

Rulan Danial Jessop, 24, said he and his wife, 24-year-old Louisa Bradshaw Jessop, have not broken any laws, and he wants to be reunited with his family.

They were just one of many families pulled apart and ordered into state custody when the El Dorado polygamist compound was raided April 3. Since then, 462 children were removed from the compound, along with some of their mothers.

They were first taken to temporary a shelter in San Angelo. Last week the state placed the children into residential child-care facilities around the state. Jessop's family was brought to Austin.

Louisa Jessop was one of the mothers taken into custody, because she looked like she was under age at the time of the raid.

"She is what the DPS is referring to as a disputed minor," said Patricia Matassarin, attorney for Rulan Jessop. "We have a birth certificate, driver's license, all kinds of things demonstrating her age."

Louisa Jessop's age has not prompted the state to release her from custody. She is with her daughter Amber Rose and 2-year-old son, Rulan Frederick.

Rulan Jessop's wife is due to give birth to their third child this weekend, and he said he wants to see her and make sure she is in good spirits before the birth.

"She is pregnant, and her baby is due Saturday, May 10," Matassarin said. "He has not seen his children or his wife since April 3, when DPS and law enforcement officers took them from the ranch."

A writ of habeas corpus was filed on Wednesday in District Court, and Jessop was given 30 minutes with Judge Darlene Bryne on Thursday.

Jessop said he is hoping for the release of his family based on what his attorney called illegal orders by the state to detain the family.

Louisa Jessop was not allowed to appear in front of the judge. She was not released from custody.

They are scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.

An angry neighbor

a pissed off relative....a prankster....someone you fired or did not hire....anyone you may have crossed in some way.....all it takes is one of these people deciding to make your life a living hell, and it will come to pass. All they need to do is phone in a false report, anonymously, about how you treat your children. Then you can be the next victim of the state/CPS.

This issue is a vital issue of constitutional rights, due process, personal liberty, habeus corpus, and a hundred other issues, all rolled into one.

You cannot NOT care about this if you think you are in favor of a constitutional republic and in favor of freedom and liberty.

If the only thing you know about this case comes from the TV or mainstream press, stop right there and seek out more information. I suggest my thread on "Reading List for FLDS truth" as a good place to start.

I would furious if this ever

I would furious if this ever happened with my family! I think they would probably have to take me to jail in order to prevent me from taking my family back or even keeping them from taking them in the first place!

There really needs to be something organized to help these people get their children back.

Bro7

I am LDS and it frustrates me to no end how the majority of the mainstream LDS are on the side of the State...not just in this, but in EVERYTHING.

Follow the profit, I guess.

It frustrates

me to no end, just to know that the public can be manipulated towards this bias. This is kidnaping and nothing more. No charges have been given, so how can they hold these people against thier will? How? Folks, we have no rights anymore. NONE. If they can do this to them, they can do it to ANY of us.

If anything could be done it

If anything could be done it makes sense to go after Perry. Below is crosspost from other thread I had running. I had email back few days ago from the impeachperry website that said their blog was down and anyone could post there. My thought was to fish around seeing if there was any sign of hope that the people of TX are not yet too far gone as they all seem to support what their state is doing from what I've observed in comments on other related news articles. I'm ashamed that Texas is part of my country and would vote to give them back to Mexico.

Tx Gov. Rick Perry announced
On May 4th, 2008 BeaReady says:
Tx Gov. Rick Perry announced he'll run for re-election 2010. He took over for GW in late 2000. Maybe some of you could help with ideas to convince him that he's overstayed his time as Gov. by 3 terms, 14 yrs! At the end of this term he'll hold the record for longest serving in TX, they have no term limits. He was last elected in 2006 with only 39% of the vote in a 4 way field. Do you think there's some real apathy in TX??

I think Perry should be our main focus, where pressure is needed to do what's right or find a new job.

Crowning achievements are: early 07, executive order for HPV vaccine mandatory for 5-6 grade girls. Later stopped by state legislature.

Perry vetoed legislation that grew from a huge grassroots movement of citizens, outside the two parties for something which 97% of Texans want: to end Perry’s massive (nearly trillion dollar!) highway robbery schemes otherwise known as the Trans-Texas Corridor

Sex scandal early 07, TX Youth Commission

and of course this recent stamp of approval on the FDLS abductions and continued refusal to answer to anyone.

I'm sure there's plenty more.

There is a website for impeachment. Maybe we could rally behind them and support $? Ideas anyone?

In 1954 the Arizona Gov who raided the FLDS lost his re-election

bid.

Gov. Howard Pyle issued incendiary statements about child abuse, child brides, and the FLDS in general. But no amount of government propaganda could convince the citizens of 54 years ago that it he was justified in tearing apart wives and husbands and their children. In 1954, a year and a half after the raid, he was defeated for re-election. The raid on the FLDS was the major issue in the campaign. In Arizona, it was over 2 years befoe families were reunited.

I think this issue is a good barometer of how far our society has declined. In 1953 the entire state was spitting mad over the issue. In 2008, no one gives a rip. "Kill the cultists!" they all proclaim--but only during the commercial breaks in their basketball games.

I would put a DIGG on it

I would put a DIGG on it but......nobody cares. Maybe we should start a rumor of new tax on beer or something. That brought them by the thousands to the Ohio statehouse a few years ago.

Yes

A tax on beer and HD TV. We'd have riots in the streets.

Aside from beer and sports on TV, most of this population couldn't care less about anything.
