My Business Is BOOMING Is Yours?

I see a lot of doom and gloom posts on here and thought I'd start a positive based thread.

If you have your own business and it's booming let's hear about it. Maybe we can spike out some ideas to help those who are not so fortunate.

If you've got some ideas on how to capitalize on the down dollar, the recession etc. were all ears.

I understand people are turning

to bicycles to save on gas. I would think scooters and any properties that are close to work and convenient to stores would be good investment to rent out or live. During the depression people rented rooms in their homes, Rooming Houses. Run for office in your local community, attend meetings in your community make your voice heard. Offer suggestions and ideas on how your community can cut back and survive the coming collapse. Communities may need to develop volunteer services in order to cut costs in services. Let us step up and be a part of the solutions. Peace

I expected the worst this summer with our business

But so far I have been pleasantly surprised. We own a lawn sprinkler business and last summer we made 1/2 the amount we made the previous year.
But strangely enough so far this spring we have been going gang busters.
I hope it holds. :o)

My business is booming here

I capitalized by doing foreign work remotely; where US skills are highly sought after.

What we want to do

is turn our brains on and think how to create value to trade with others.
If we remain positive and THINK, we can survive. Our ancestors invented, traded, built, and taught others.

I have another positive thread going here, but for some reason they enjoy "troll bashing".

Most of the young folks fell into the trap they set - over spending, huge homes, swimming pools, a TV in every room, two or three computers, boat, sports car, and credit card debt up to their ears.

If you have to, walk away from all this stuff - let it go back to the banks who led you into all of this "easy" stuff.

Save only what you need to survive and downsize your living and eating patterns.

Now, you can turn things around and be successful in these times, if you come up with an idea of value which others will utilize.

Thomas Edison failed at creating the light bulb 10,000 times before it was done. Things have been too fast and easy, thus people do not use their imaginations any longer to think and create!

"think how to create value to trade with others."

Barter (or trade) is a cashless system of exchanging goods and services. I encourage you to check this out. http://www.dailypaul.com/...

Yes..

Doom and Gloom...But I did hear that the sectors that will be booming will be thrift stores and security companies..If that gives you any ideas.
