Need Help with Revolution message at church tomorrow
Posted May 10th, 2008 by Kay
We have Joys & Concerns during our church service, and I want to mention Ron Paul's new book. I don't think that many people in this church even know who Ron Paul is. I need to educate them. These people are very socially conscious and mostly liberal. I'm not very good at standing up and speaking, so...Can someone suggest a very concise description of the book that will get people interested in reading it? Thanks for any suggestions.

Our freedom is gift by God's divine goodness.
Our country was founded on this very same premiss.
We all know that something is not right with God's blessed country, but we are unable to find the answer through our government officials.
Until now.
Ron Paul is a devout Christian, raised in a Christian home and committed to Christ at the young age of 14. (source: http://video.google.com/v... )
I pray for his safety as he spreads the message of our forefathers and the Christian, values based message of a country once blessed by God. I encourage all Christians to read how we are falling from God's grace and what we need to do about it.
In the words of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr "Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see."
(Or use these Rev. MLK quotes, I like to use MLK because most liberals incorrectly believe him to be a Democrat and they like to hear his words. )
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it. "
"History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people."
"Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal. "
"The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people."
"We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people."
Is it moral to impose your will with force?
That's the central question. If it's immoral to take someone else's money against their will, can it be moral if three of us vote to do so? Or 10 of us? Is it ever moral for the majority to decide that your money is forfeit?
Same with regulations. If it's immoral for one person to do it, what makes it okay for the majority?
I'm sure you can find examples in the book.

Clueless Christians
I probably should have mentioned I attend a Unitarian Universalist church - some are christians, most are not.
That would explain
Why they are mostly liberal... : )
