Palestinians living as Israeli citizens have more rights than any Arabs in any Arab country on the planet.

People claim Israel forced Palestinians into the settlements. It was Egypt and Iran who told the Palestinians to evacuate their homes and move to Gaza and the West bank in 1967, as they prepared to launch an attack on Israeli government and citizens.

Israel deliberately avoids attacking civilians, while their enemies often make a point of killing Israeli civilians.

I see the issue of Israel from several perspectives, as a Jew, and Atheist, and a Ron Paul supporter.

I support the right for a people, such as the Jewish people, to create their own state. I do not think that living on historical land promised to us in an ancient book is necessarily worth all the lives it is costing.

However, to claim that Israel are the violators of human rights has to be either ignorant and malicious.

As if there were a single country neighboring Israel that gives it's people more freedoms and more liberty than Israel.

I do not understand why people attack Israel as a human rights abuser. Even if they were, which i strongly believe that in general, they are benevolent, they are far from the worst in the region. Want to talk about human rights abuse? take a look at Syria.

For years Israel has been criticized for it's presence in Gaza. Hamas have made a habit out of shooting rockets into civilian territories.

When Israel pulled out of Gaza, appeasing the terrorists, the rocket attacks multiplied!

Hamas does not want their land back (based on the above case). They do not want their sovereignty (again, based on the above example, and that as Israeli citizens they would enjoy much more freedom than they currently do,) they want to destroy the Jews. That is the main goal.

Perhaps average Palestinians believe that the fight is for land and sovereignty, but they are being tricked by Hamas.

It is nothing but anti-semitism, and I have to question your motives for blaming everything on Israel, the only beacon of democracy and human rights in the region.

this is my understanding and where we are going wrong.

The Bible warns against anyone who comes against Israel, God's chosen people. However, the Bible warns that a group of people would say they are Jewish and they are lying.

In fact, long ago there was a group of athiests who lived between a Christian on one side and an Islamics on the other side and they constantly feared for their lives. They decided they would be safest to say they were Jewish and they converted in name only. They are the Jesuits now and they are not God's chosen people. The Bible also says only 1/3 of the Jews will make it into heaven.

The Christians in our country do not understand this and have always thought that the government's alignment with Israel was Biblical and had to be that way. In fact, these people are the deceivers God warned about.

Also coming against Israel does not mean that we have to do Israel's bidding in detroying her enemies. She can handle that herself. We just should not initiate war or harm on the Holy Ground.

this is very interesting and thought provoking. on one side i see anti-semitism, but that is more of a social provocation of years of domestication. the other side is that i know the israely lobby is powerful and is in charge of homeland security along with the new bombing iran. im all for cutting ties with israel and holding them accountable to the nuclear proliferation treaty.
