Linda, are you out there? You're my kind of girl!

Linda Rayborn:

Ron Paul is a congressman, not a senator, and he puts America’s future ahead of “what is best for the Republican Party”.

If you know the difference between Juan McCain’s policies and voting record and Ron Paul’s, you would know that Paul “getting behind” the “Republican” candidate for the sake of him being a Republican candidate would go against the truly American principles that Paul has stood up for for all these years.

I for one am thankful that there is still someONE in Washington that sticks to his principles before his party.

What if the Republican’s nominated Lenin for President…would you ask all the Republicans to suck it up and get behind him too???

END QUOTE.

You wrote in response to a McCain article and get behind the guy.
The Lenin thing cracked me up and really put it in perspective.
It's not a horse race and we aren't picking the winner.
We are voting for who we want!
If we are a million strong today, we may be two million tomorrow.
With no coverage RP is still gaining supporters.
I used to think all politicians were crooks and liars.
I never thought it mattered what I did or if I voted.
My idea (and still is) that we the tax payer should pay for their run for power and election. At the end of their term we pay for another election. If we feel they didn't do what the promised we arrange a nice family outing with BBQ etc and games for the kids and we use tax payers money for that too. And at the height of the festivities we bring the politician out and hang him or her from the nearest light post. The kids will learn a lot about government and who fears who (government fears the people or visa versa) and magically overnight politicians will do what they promised.
(Actually, I heard this while sitting in a bar! But when I thought about it, I couldn't see any flaws!)

Not of course the President. To threaten death to the Prident is a federal offense.

So Bush is OK.

Apology for calling Paul a Senator

I apologize for calling Ron Paul a Senator. I DO know he is a congressman, it was just an oversight. I have listened to Ron Paul in all of the Republican debates, so I am familiar with his stances on the issues. I understand that he is far removed from Senator McCain, but he is also far removed from Obama. I meant it when I stated I admire the loyalty of the Paul supporters and I think it's great that you have remained true to your candidate. I also MEANT it when I said that the race is now between John McCain and Barack Obama. Those are the 2 choices we have. If you fail to recognize that and stay behind Ron Paul, all you do is help Obama get elected because Ron Paul is taking away REPUBLICAN votes. Now, in the primaries, I say, by all means, vote your principles. In the general election, you HAVE to vote the lesser of two evils (if you don't support either candidate) because we are going to certainly get one of them! Don't you realize that Democrats are not voting for Ron Paul? Republicans are! That takes votes away from our legitimate candidate. I was, at first, saying I will write in Mike Huckabee (my first choice). But I realize that Barack Obama is NOT what I want for this country for 4, possibly 8 years!!!! Please, take this into consideration.

Ron Siphons Republican Votes

Party Man Republicans are going to vote Republican. If Hillary was the (R) candidate, they would be saying she's all wonderful for the country.

Nobody Likes McCain. I've yet to meet anyone revved up for him.

Democrats Are voting for Dr. Paul, and many more can be brought in. Truth does that. "Liberty is popular."

Many confused Republicans have said they'd actually vote for Hillary over McCain in the General Election for various reasons.

All this and more leads me to believe the Republican Leadership Wants to toss this election. Don't even try to blame it on the Paul/Keyes/Barr thing. The R Leadership tossed this long ago.

Was talking to someone who was talking about how the Reps lost it when they had control of congress and executive but pandered to the Dems at the time. That's why Reps are mad with the Reps... So they put the main cluprit of that problem as their nominee? The "Maverick" Amnesty 1st amendment killer who wanted to be a Democrat?

No, it's not Paul's fault that I may have to write him in. It's the Republican Leadership's fault, and their nominee McCain specifically is one of the top reasons they're in the predicament in the first place.

Also, it seems in a way McCain was chosen for us by cross-over voters. Dems picked McCain for us.

and then

And then they say I'm not being loyal to R's. Well, put a guy up there I can vote for. They say well they can't vote for isolationist cut-and-runner. Well would they vote for Dr. Paul if he was the nominee? Just answer the question, are you a loyal R? Well good. Make Dr. Paul the nominee and we'll both vote for him and we can dump the guy the Dems chose for us that neither of us likes.

That siphon votes argument just makes me the McInsane kinda mad.

I will simply repond to this with a quote

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone; and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -- John Quincy Adams

Libera me, let the truth break, what my fears make--Leslie Phillips

WOW - you tell RonPaul supporters

to vote for the lesser of two evils!

I agree with another poster - NEVER NEVER NEVER! For the sake of everyone you love on this earth, do NOT do THAT!!!!

So you believe an evil Republican is better than an evil Democrat?

They are all Republicrats! They run their mouths but all vote the same!

Vote in Dems for change - BIG FAT LIE
Vote Bush for humble foreign policy - BIG FAT LIE

Linda, you obviously have not done enough homework and spending too much time listening to the TV propaganda! YOUR chess game is very dangerous, and I would laugh at your reasoning if it wasn't so sad!

I would rather have my vote count for something than count for nothing!

Correction:

It is the LACK of a true conservative Republican to vote for in the general election and years of Neo-Con Trotskyite Communist policies that will get CFR backed Obama elected.

Never, never, NEVER do we

Never, never, NEVER do we "have" to vote for the lesser of two evils! By doing so, you are essentially saying "I wholeheartedly endorse this evil cqandidate". That is how your vote will be intrepreted, anyway, by the powers that be. I refuse to play that sucker's game, which only strengthens the status-quo. Just how bad do things have to get before you will be willing to see that, and refuse to play the role that the establishement has forced you into?

Don't you have ANY backbone at all? Damn!
