SGP - Insight on the Process in Oregon
Hey Doc,
This is my first direct post to you regarding your council, but we are in the middle of the Oregon primary (my first one in Oregon) and things are looking pretty good for our man. But I am wondering if you know a little more about the process than I do and if you can enlighten me (other Oregonians feel free to chip in as well).
A wonderful young lady has detailed the whole process of delegate selection over at www.oregoniansforronpaul.....
Her info indicates that national delegates are selected at the district conventions (in district 1 in my case - I will hopefully be a precinct 2 PCP). If this is the case, is there any reason to attend the state convention, and if so, what is that reason.
I look forward to your reply. Thanks!

A Good Reason
to attend the state convention would be to make friends and get to know the Republicans that have been active in the party, and also to observe how the convention is run.
You are right that the PCP's elect the delegates to national at the district conventions, but the process seems a bit foggy, and maybe we could learn more at the state convention.
However, we are not allowed to vote or take part at the state convention in any way that I can tell, only the delegates from your County Central Committee can vote.
Bump
Because I'd like the info. :)
go Ron Paul!
You can contact him directly
You can contact him directly for that information, I believe.

Do you have his email by chance?
Ron Paul 08!
I have one, but I am unsure
I have one, but I am unsure if it's still active. I believe he has it posted in some of the active threads he's started.
Having said that, there are some great threads on here from the NV meetups (as well as other meetups) writing about the great success they had. Unfortunately they aren't at the top of the active list, but with a bit of searching they should be relatively easy to find.
