Ron Paul covered by IU Website
A bit dated, but I thought I would share this--I hadn't even seen this and I'm interviewed!--Amazing what you can find when you google your name and "Ron Paul"!
IU Students for Ron Paul have been awesome here in Bloomington, IN--It's great to know I'm not the only one!
Here is the part about Dr. Paul:

Aaron Jones graduated from IU with a bachelor’s degree in harpsichord performance. He now spends his time jamming with his band, Radio Friendly: Songs by American Pirates, and campaigning for Republican candidate Ron Paul.
How did you choose Ron Paul? “I first saw him on C-SPAN being interviewed, and I knew within 15 seconds that this is someone I wanted to learn more about. The first thing that struck me was his honesty. I’ve just never seen that kind of integrity from a politician. ”
What’s your background? “My family comes from a very conservative Christian background. I became disgusted with the Republican Party after the fear-mongering around 9/11 and rushing into war with Iraq. What I love about Ron Paul is that he points out that both parties are misguided.”
I like Ron Paul because: “I appreciate the way he goes deeper than most other politicians. He talks about the philosophy behind what guides our policy. It’s one thing to just claim you’re against the Iraq war, but it’s much more meaningful to be against the doctrine of preemptive war. I love it when Ron Paul mentions how this idea that preemptive war violates the Just War Theory of Christianity. That doesn’t fit into a sound bite like the media likes, but if you don’t understand this deeper question of doctrine and underlying philosophy, you’re never going to get anywhere.”
Kaisa Rada will graduate in May 2010 with a degree in Near East languages and cultures and political science. Growing up in Kokomo, Indiana, she didn’t know her parents’ political affiliation, but they always passionately discussed issues and exchanged ideas. “Somehow, I always assumed they were perfectly opposite from me, but I’m realizing we’re actually pretty similar.”
Why Ron Paul? “Apart from his ideology—even some major things that I just don’t agree with—he stands out to me because of his unyielding dedication to the Constitution and its values, like liberty and peace. He’s resolute, but at the same time, he’s humble, he’s polite, and he’s flat-out witty.”
How I’m getting the word out: “All people ever hear is Hillary-Obama, Giuliani-Romney. Unfortunately, people are convinced the mainstream candidates are ‘normal,’ while Ron Paul’s some radical they shouldn’t even consider. I beg to differ. I mostly provide man power at events and I contribute to brainstorming at meetings where we try to determine how to reach out to people and help the campaign. When I talk to people, I help them see ‘everything I thought was crazy isn’t after all—the system as it is has become crazy.’ Little things like that are what the Ron Paul Revolution is all about.”
Why should students be involved in politics? “College is the time in your life when you’re supposed to road test everything you think. Even if you disagree with me, I’m afraid that if you don’t concern yourself now, you’re going to end up accepting the way things have always been. College students are a part of the future; why not try to change things out in the real world before we even get there and are stuck living in it?”
