Big Media Reform Conference

Hello freedom fighters, lol, yeah that sounds kinda...honest...anyway
in the last year,(Moveon.org sent me this, yeah I know boo for their support for Obama, but this is important) Rupert Murdoch's media empire has gobbled up the Wall Street Journal and started yet another right-wing cable "news" station. Big media conglomerates constantly replace quality local news with syndicated garbage. And Net Neutrality—the First Amendment of the Internet—is still under attack by big corporations.
Had enough of media consolidation and corporate-dominated media? Ready to fight back to protect Internet freedom? Want to collaborate with thousands of others who feel the same way?
Please consider joining members of Congress, new media visionaries, civil rights trailblazers, top grassroots organizers, and thousands of concerned citizens at the National Conference for Media Reform in Minneapolis/St. Paul this June 6-8 (Fri-Sun)—organized by our friends at Free Press.
The regular registration price is $195—but a special $95 rate is available for MoveOn members. Can you make it June 6-8? To sign up, click here:

This Friday is the deadline for discounted hotel rates at the local Hilton. To book a room, call 888-947-2233 x3123 or click here:

Incredible speakers like Arianna Huffington, environmental advocate Van Jones, and filmmaker Robert Greenwald.
Internet luminaries like Craig Newmark of Craigslist, Stanford's Larry Lessig, and progressive blogger Jane Hamsher.
Plus, over 100 forums on media policy, movement building, independent media, and civil rights and the media.

Helen Thompus? I think you spell her name that way, Phil Donahue

I will be there, this is important! Mainstream media being owned and feeding us constant bias non-important nonsense for the most part...We have to make own voices heard and our actions organized and fierce to protect our liberities from the constant planned propaganda we let enter our thoughts and conversations, but most important to not allow censoring of what we do or read on the internet. Luckily bill S1959 didn't pass, but most of Congress want to inforce it. If passed free speech on the internet would of been threatened.
