Could Hillary be the Lincoln of 1860?
This is highly speculative but at least it's about electing Paul or somebody for president.
Looking at the wikipedia article and knowing there has been a party philosophical role reversal since 1860, could Hillary be the "Lincoln" in these two convention showdowns?

Taking the analogy further, in 1860 Seward was the expected nominee. Also in this analogy Obama would be Seward who was gradually beaten by radicalized convention delegates (or superdelegates). Looking at the then Democratic side, Douglas and Breckinridge support was so polarized, the party splintered into two factions and thus two Democratic campaigns. This could be McCain & Paul. What happened in 1860 was that Lincoln, with only 40% popular vote, won it with nearly 60% of the electors. Could this turn into an elector fight with possibly 4 factions just like 1860?
