Here's how I spent my Mother's Day...making this:
Your Choices for the 2008 Elections

My intention was to create a quick, fun, fast-paced look at the candidates, and to pump up encouragement for RP supporters and could-be RP supporters.
Capitalizing on the fact that everyone knows of the "big three"candidates, and are now hearing the name "Ron Paul" more often (thanks to the book and the news articles about delegates), this video deliberately does not include any other contenders. I want the focus and logical conclusion to be on the candidate I am working to support, the only one of them fit for the job; none other than Dr. Ron Paul!

I'm impressed. You really put alot of impact in a short video. The music reminded me of a big top circus, which of course is what the whole PR of the "chosen" candidates are anyway. You are really good at this.

This is now ranked # 14 in Top Favorites of today for its category, and #18 in Top Rated for today; plus it's within the top 100 chart for Most Discussed and Most Viewed honors. So I guess that, while it's not on TV, at least the word's getting out there and it's being pretty well received.
Let's hope all those discussions get some brain cells awakened!

I just gotta say, I had so much fun making this vid, though it took me forever, novice that I am.
Thanks to everyone on DP for all the posts and links (particularly the "How McCain can fail" thread) that cumulatively provided a wealth of information from which to draw, and helped inspire me to make this.

Thanks for the kind words :: blush :: This is the second video I've made.
The music is from the fabulous Danny Elfman. I purposefully selected the song "Breakfast Machine" and deliberately worked hard to keep the video very fast-paced to reflect the frenetic tone of the campaigns, the overwhelming pressure of all the issues, and to capture the minds of those accustomed to Short Attention Span Theater. Notice the pace calms quite a bit in the 2nd half of the Ron Paul portion... :)
Lighthearted humor often works where begging and pleading and pounding the issues won't, so hopefully, this vid will find its niche and reach its intended market.

moves to fast for this ole guy though. I also consider good vids to share with older than myself folks (in their 70's-80's, those stubborn mules, laugh), but they would say, too fast for me.
That 'po old gal 'n her map speech, will she ever live that down or is this the ultimate example of the "dumbing if America". Yes of course I amuse at it from time to time. But, laugh, that 'po gal.

I agree -- and I made it!
:: chuckles :: It's pretty fast for me to follow, and I created the thing. This quick pace was fully intentional. So is the fact that the first tag I assigned to it was "Obama" -- I want that demographic to watch.
For others, I'm hoping it will encourage re-views, and hitting of the pause button to read that long, hateful list of InSane's high crimes and misdemeanors.
A fast pace sends messages of urgency, chaos, and panic. This is why I slowed it down for (most of) Paul's portion of the vid; to give a contrasting sense of calm and relief. Which is what the good doctor provides!
