Video of interviews on the beach: This is what we're up against with Obamites!
Youtube link
Watch and learn...these are the kind of Obama supporters that we can potentially convert!
Note: I've edited the thread as per RP's new instructions to "peel 'em off."

Unfortunately this is the
Unfortunately this is the majority of voters and why we are where we are. It is sometimes hard for me not to be bitter because we have to suffer because of this kind of stupidity and mindless voting.
This is why the founders originally only allowed property owners to vote. it was a test of at least some drive ambition and reasonable intelligence but even that would not work today, the sub prime fiasco would have made that type of test meaningless today.

Well, the reason I found it so funny was...
because it shows how pathetic some of these Hilary, Obama, and McCain supporters are. They try to appear confident and well-informed but it's just a really crude facade!
Those people on the beach are representative of the ideologies of liberalism and conservatism. Those ideologies are intellectually vacuous--for the unthinking lay public.
But, yeah I can see it might have the opposite effect and make one sad.
I will gamble here.
I am willing to bet, that even with grammatical errors, conspiracy theories, gardening threads..etc of the people on this site as refrence. That the I.Q. average and functionality of Ron Paul supporters is way above the majority of Obama and Clinton supporters.

Guess I havn't been to the beach lately
Hmmm, are all beaches like this? But then again, I might feel REALLY smart if I went to the beach........ Not stupid like when I can't find where my chickens are hiding their eggs. That makes me feel stupid, when chickens are outsmarting me....
This is why Paul could not win
Most people don't care about the message. To win, you need to look and sound "presidential." That's all that most people care about. A Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton running on Paul's platform could win. Personality is of utmost importance.
Gotta agree with oruval
that RP supporters are ahead of the curve. RP supporters are thinkers. Maybe Obama supporters are more emotional? Don't know and I guess I don't care what they have to say at this point.
I gotta disagree with L.G. though. Dr. Paul could be elected President. He is certainly presidential. He has an AMAZING personality. The cards could have fallen for him and his campaign but for a variety of reasons they just didn't.
Some day people will reflect on his campaign and realize that a great opportunity was lost.
A high pitched voice in debates
is not "presidential." He also would get toungue-tied many times. To be presidential you have to speak with a deep, strong, and confident tone. You have to speak slowly. You can't get angry or irate, unless it's a very reserved controlled anger. Etc, etc.
These are the things that most people look at when they decide who they're going to vote for. They couldn't care less about the details of the message. All they're thinking is who is going to look cool and confident representing the U.S., and who makes them feel comfortable and taken care of when he talks.
I think I disagree with every point you made.
It is your opinion but maybe you are just telling us what you think most people consider presidential. And of course there are many exceptions to what "presidential" might be. For example FDR had a very high-pitched voice as did Harry Truman.
I, and many others, have suggested on DP (way back in October) that Dr.Paul should have hired a debate/speech coach. Not to change him but to give him some polish and make him more aware of some of his speaking habits. It would have paid off.
Being presidential is a complete package not just a few attributes. The key word is package. I hate to say it but if Dr. Paul had been packaged, and I only mean that in the most respectful way possible, he would have done even better.
Hey Troll.
We are bored making fun of you. Most people won't respond to you now. I am the best you've got. Sorry.

I think you're correct
Though recently a lot of liberals are starting to become a tiny bit disillusioned with the Democrat Party (failure to get out of Iraq).
Something interesting might occur if they continue on that path and actually start thinking about political philosophy.
Was front page
Manystrom had posted this on the front page of DP some time back...I think it was entitled something like "What we're up against." Yes, it's amazing.
Ah ok.
Yeah, I was wondering if this had been posted before.

Interviewer: "what's your favorite policy of that candidate?"
Person on beach: ...(dead silence)..."umm, I don't know."
Haha.
Bump if anyone else
wants a good chuckle:-)
