Ron Paul could reMake FREE TO CHOOSE

Dr Paul, could be just the one to ReMake the famous Free To Choose 10 part series made famous by Dr. Milton Friedman.

It was a winning format. The first half hour you go around the world and make your specific case for Liberty, say against Wars of Intervention, for Chapter One, then in the 2nd half hour you debate 3 or 4 top intellectuals or NeoCon Pundits.

Ron Paul could pay homage to Friedman's Pencil lecture and even recall the moment that Dr. Friedman push the Stop button on the Printing Presses. Its a Classic scene that Ron Paul can replay and use again and ask, So what happened? The presses turned back on and boy did they work over time.

If done right, this could be a big TV hit series that PBS would air just like they aired the original 10 part series in 1980.

Think about it. Ron Paul wants to spread the message. This just may be 1000 times better than making a 30 minute speech at the Convention.

Hey, don't you think its ABOUT TIME that Dr. Paul got to Produce his own TV show and get to ask the Right Questions?

Are you not tired of allowing MSM call the shots, ask the questions, and fail to ask other questions?

Are you tired of MSM having full control in the editing room?

If so, please pass this idea on to Dr. Paul.

Tell him we in the Revolution want to see him Re-Make the FREE TO CHOOSE 10 part series, with Dr. Paul in full control of the show for a change.

Would this be a highly successful and very influential venture? Hell Yes! Here are 3 reasons why:

High Demand, Plenty of Investors, and a Proven Format.

Let me explain:

1) Unlike 1980, today we have many channels all starving for NEW content. Thus high demand. Unlike what Milton Faced, just 3 networks and PBS...today we have hundreds of channels, all are begging for new and original and CONTROVERSIAL content. The Controversy will drive high ratings.

2) Ron Paul could find a way to "Self-Finance" the ReMaking of Free To Choose. Yet it may not even be needed, there would be investors such as myself wanting a piece of the profitable action. The prices we would charge to air it, on HBO, Showtime, the History channel, & even DVD sales will all combine to make it a real winner. The series could air at all times of the day and night for years to come, thus boosting the Revolution's message. Dr. Friedman had to rely on grants from the Ford Foundation to talk about Liberty, yet today in 2008 Dr. Paul will not.

3) The award winning Format is a proven winner. With Dr. Paul as the host it will bring the series into the 21st century. Hell, Johnny Carson was replaced by Jay Leno, its all about the winning Format. If you get that, then you get the power of this idea. The 10 part series was half world travel log with explanation, and half -"let the fists fly"- intellectual debate. I couldn't wait for the 2nd half hour our of each one hour program.

PS. Watch these Classic lectures from Dr. Friedman below, then imagine Dr. Paul doing much the same thing in 2008:

I submit the Power of the Ron Paul Revolution would be huge:

Here is a young Donald Rumsfeld mulling over the idea total free trade, young NeoCons like him could barely "get it"....but they will want to "stop it" somewhere along the line.... lol , thats Donald!

Here is Dr. Friedman talking about the Fed in 1929:

If you like this idea, please bump this and pass it on to Dr. Paul.

I remember watching "Free to

I remember watching "Free to Choose" in the early 1980's, and thought it was a well-made and powerful series, aside from Milton's monetarist BS. Ironically, though, it was shown on PBS! I wonder what the odds are that ANY mainstream media outlet would let a similar series be shown today. No, I don't wonder, actually ---- the odds are just about zero.

The Odds are about 95%

And here is 3 reasons why: High Demand, Investors, Proven Format.

The art here is putting together the right mix of guest for the right issue. Then prepare well. Dr. Friedman is a tough act to follow. He could think quickly on his feet. Therefore its wise to study up on the guests and how they are most likely to respond to Dr. Paul's points in the first half of the program.

Spread the word, spread the idea...
